Quidditch Game: Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor

Veronica didn't hit a bludger.

Audrey paused to take stock and roll her shoulders, debating whether to keep targeting the seeker or try and hamper the beaters to give Lilith an much time as was reasonable to find the snitch.

Santiago kept looking for bludgers.

Aroha spotted it - there, in her line of sight. She moved forward on her broom quickly, scooping it up in her hand in an expert move, time moving slow. She'd caught the snitch. The game was over.

Audrey stared blankly ahead in utter disbelief. Gryffindor had the snitch. She'd played the single best game of her life and that just hadn't been good enough. If she hadn't hesitated, she could have forced Gryffindor to make another substitution. She could vaguely hear the buzz of Gryffindor celebration around her but hovered in place, numb with disappointment. If there was any place left she could one up Teddy it was on the Quidditch Pitch, but even that didn't seem possible anymore. She was going to have to scream into the lake and hit things after this.

Aroha catching the Snitch happened so fast that it took Teddy's brain a moment to process it. His mouth fell open before a feeling of elation took over. Gryffindor had won the championship, his and Fraser's team were bringing home the cup after years of disappointment. He felt amazing, what an achievement. Teddy whooped so loud that it hurt his throat. "Yes Aroha you legend! Go Gryffindor!" He cheered. This was going to warrant a big celebration.

"Gryffindor wins and are the quidditch cup champions!" The referee announced to the crowd. What a game it was!
