Reeve was happy for better weather on this day. The day was bright, the sky blue with large, fluffy white clouds moving slowly by. It was a lovely day for quidditch. The ref spent his time as he usually did, prepping the pitch for the upcoming game as the stands filled around him. With that done, the man simply waited for the teams to arrive so the game could begin.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only

Was Gaia satisfied with how practice had gone on her side? Absolutely. Was she looking forward to hopefully deny the Hufflepuff Chasers some scores? Definitely. Walking to the pitch she looked up at the sky, it was a nice day. Nothing to complain about. Waiting for the Captain to speak up Gaia stretched her limbs a little bit, knowing if the game went on for long she'd be thanking her past self for that.

Jonah arrived, ready as ever

Sayuri waited impatiently for the game to start.

Sofi had been thinking way too much about how much was riding on this match, and that as seeker, the team were counting on her to catch the snitch. She hadn’t said much all morning which wasn’t exactly unusual for her, but it hadn't given any opportunity to share her thoughts or for anyone to reassure her either. By the time Sofi walked out onto the pitch, she looked pale, tense, and just about one 'are you okay?' away from a breakdown.

Zeke walked out onto the pitch. He wasn't expecting to play, unless the other seeker was bludgered out of the game that is.

Alana arrived at the quidditch pitch ready and eager to get started.

Nox might have been about to spend most of the game on the bench, but he was still excited to be part of the team and hopefully see that team win.

Vanity would never admit it, but she was nervous. Hufflepuff wasn't a threat on paper, but that just meant that losing to them during her first game as the only captain would be utterly humiliating. Vanity had been amused when Gryffindor won their game so quickly, but now she could only pray that didn't mean the snitch would take a long time to get to their own seeker today. She handed in the lineup, then moved to her team.

"Listen up, we can't lose to Hufflepuff." She told them firmly. "Beaters, I want you to be just as ferocious to their seeker as you were to our own during practice. I also hope he has a bit more luck finding the snitch." She failed to mention how badly her own practice had gone, that was none of their concern. "Chasers, please try to score at least a little better. Let's hope it was Gaia being a good keeper and not you all being..." she paused. "Disappointing." She glanced around, realizing vaguely she wasn't being very encouraging. "We better win this, or I'll make practice hell." She added, that was encouraging right?

Logan was feeling so nervous, he felt like he might throw up. He had been glad to start in a starting position on the team, but right now he kind of wished he could sit on the bench for this first game. He swallowed nervously at the captain's words, glancing up at the crowd. He hoped he would do better than he had at practice.

If Alana didn't bludgeon Hufflepuff's seeker as hard as he'd been bludgeoned, Ignatius was going to take her bat and exact revenge upon her in her sleep.

Then again, the Hufflepuff seeker was Sofi, and he was struck by a feeling of not wanting to see her get hurt. He tried to ignore it, he had a game to win and he had to play better than he had during training. He stared into the middle distance, trying to ignore everything else but what he had to do.

Kanako knew she wouldn't probably wouldn't play today but she was still at the pitch because, well, she was required to be. She looked at Logan, who looked a little unwell, to be honest. It was to be expected - his first real game. She patted him on the shoulder. "You've got this," she said, trying to be reassuring.

Henri arrived at the quidditch pitch, absolutely ready for his first game, after all the practice and reading. it was finally here. he was so ready to hopefully win.

Callie walked on to the quidditch pitch and was ready for her final season of the game, unless she opted to go professional, but she didn't think that was for her. She was so ready for it.

Marley wasn't usually nervous when it came to games like this, But she knew this would be one of the last few games she'd be playing. She just wanted the team to do their best and be as encouraging as she could. Marley stood with the rest of the team, smiling nervously, trying her best to hide that nervousness, but she was failing that miserably. "Hi team! We got this! Practice had gone well for sure! Just do everything the best you can and give it your all! But also try to have some fun!" Marley says encouragingly. "Beaters, we gotta try and hit their seeker as well as defend some of our own. Chasers, try your best to score as well as doing some passing out there. Our seeker, give it your all, and try your best same with our keeper! Just do the best you all can" Marley says with a nod and grin. She looked at her team one last time, before giving her line up.

Reeve cast the Sonorous Charm on himself after he'd determined all was in order with the lineups. “Today, Hufflepuff will be guarding the northern hoops, and Slytherin will guard the south hoops. Best of luck to both teams.” Reeve released the snitch and bludgers. He flew up into the sky with the quaffle, tossing it into the air with a "GAME ON!"

OOCOut of Character: Game notes, please read
1. Be sure to review the rules [please note the change to snitch capture value]. Any questions regarding the rules should first be addressed to your captain(s). Captains may PM me for any assistance needed.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. You should refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate and allows the timer to kick in appropriately for players.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

Jonah grabbed the quaffle and flew towards the hoops

Sayuri cursed at her brother in Nihongo before chasing after him

Sofi was so nervous, but at least Marley was being nice about it. She got up in the air and did not immediately catch the snitch.

Gaia was eager to play so as soon as she could she headed for her hoops. Settling in front of them she cast a glance at the opposing houses Chasers, she knew Sayuri was pretty good as a chaser so she should probably look out for the other Edogawa currently in the game, no idea what his name was she was just going to refer to him as the Yellow Edogawa Chaser.

Alana kicked off the ground as soon as the match began and immediately started hunting for bludgers to hit.

marley flew up into the air, looking for a to hit

Ignatius didn't not instantly catch the snitch like the Gryffindor seeker did, much to his dismay.

Jonah spotted the keeper watching him too closely a little too late, and his shot was blocked.

Sayuri stuck her tongue out at her brother as she passed him by to grab the quaffle and fly off to the opposing hoops.
