When Hope started shouting, Adam initially mistook it for her taking another bludger hit and was prepared to ignore it until he saw her holding something up. He had to lift his sunglasses to catch the glint of gold. He couldn't believe it. Hope had finally caught the snitch, and it was all because of him and the work he'd put in to whip the team into shape. They wouldn't have gotten here if it weren't for him becoming captain. His leadership. This just proved he was the best Ilvermorny had ever seen. He left the hoops, flying by the stands to blow kisses at the crowd. He had no doubt he had a few new fans amongst the French students, after witnessing how flawlessly he had managed to block every goal. True talent.

AJ grimaced when Eli's next hit took the French seeker out of play. It was good for their team but it looked like that one had hurt. After the subs were made, AJ tried to stay even closer to Hope, not wanting the Beauxbatons' beater to try and return the favour, though he struggled to keep up when she suddenly went into a deep dive. He pulled up instead, giving her space and watching, tense, as she tailed the snitch before finally catching it. AJ cheered, touching down next to Hope as she celebrated and scooped her into a tight hug. "I knew you could it!" he said, mostly into her hair, ignoring the sounds of the crowd around them.

Eli had been chasing another bludger when he suddenly heard Hope yelling. Eli turned and looked at her in alarm, wondering if she had been hit. But he then saw she was yelling happily, holding up the snitch. Eli relaxed, a grin slowly spreading over his face as he realized they had won. They'd done it. He hung back, watching as AJ congratulated Hope and Adam decided to do a little victory lap when he'd probably been the player who had worked towards their victory the least. Eli sometimes truly marveled at his ego.

Édelie had barely gotten in the air when she heard the whistle be blown, her efforts as captain unsuccessful. Part of her wondered if she had put Amelie in from the beginning whether they would have won since she was so successful at practice. At the same time, she couldn't live on ifs and headed down to the ground. What made it even worse was that this was happening on her home field and her parents were watching, definitely disappointed. "Good effort, team! It was a tough game for all. Hugo and Gemma, feel free to head to the hospital wing if you feel the need. One bludger hit is enough." She smiled half-heartedly at her teammates, hoping they weren't too disappointed.

Aramis had been distracted since Hugo was taken off the field, worried about his friend, but not distracted enough to miss the other team catching the snitch. He sighed, touching down and listening as Édelie gave a very magnanimous speech to the team and giving her a hapless shrug in return. Losing sucked, but it wasn't the end of the world. Though he supposed with Édelie leaving at the end of the year, it was sort of the end for her. Maybe they'd have to do something nice for her in their next practice to make up for it.

Reeve heard the Ilvermorny Seeker as she announced her catch. He'd seen her dive and quickly confirmed the catch. "Ilvermorny wins!" the man declared before moving to begin catching the bludgers.
