The game was over now, but April still had the adrenaline pumping through her body. Even though she had been playing for what felt like ages, she still had a lot of energy left. Rather than going directly back to the castle, she ran out onto the great lawn still in her Quidditch gear. She couldn't believe she had done it! The thrill of winning seemed to be feeding her energy even more which made her unable to sit still. She ran around for a little while before doing a few cartwheels. She would return to the Hufflepuff Common Room soon, but she didn't want to go inside yet. There was nothing as exciting and exhilarating as a Quidditch match, and she wanted to bask in the feeling of the sun on her skin a little longer. After running around and tiring herself out a little, she flopped onto the grass and looked at the sky. Today had been incredible.

Corrine had taken her time heading out of the pitch. The game had been fairly exciting, though she wasn't particularly into quidditch these days. It was still something to do, and it had certainly broken up the monotony of studying and classes and the like. Spotting April celebrating on her own, Corrine let out a small giggle that remained as she walked up to the girl who was still in her gear.

"Congratulations, April" she called out from a safe distance, hand cupping her mouth. She didn't want to get too close in case the girl broke into another set of cartwheels. She was on the ground noe, but who knew?

Anastasie didn't particularly like quidditch, despite her step-brother's spot on his house team. She knew that his house had played that day and decided to stay in the castle for the whole game, not wanting to be delved into the quidditch mayhem. When people started filing back into the castle, the girl took her violin with her and made her way outside. From the buzz of the Hufflepuffs, Ana figured that they must have won but she in no way intended to congratulate her step-brother and instead attempted to ignore it as she walked out onto the Great Lawn for some fresh air. However, as she came upon it she spotted a girl doing cartwheels across it and Ana pulled a face of disgust, especially when she realised it was the Hufflepuff seeker who was the cause for Hufflepuff's win. With one hand on her hip and the other gripping her violin case, Ana approached her and decided to add on to what the Gryffindor girl with her was saying. "Oh yeah, congratulations for risking your life and for continuing to do so with these stupid cartwheels." she spat, not going to let the girl think that what she was doing was okay.

Syrus had just witness the game. It had been crazy and intense. He wouldn't had believed it happen if he weren't there. April really own that game. So it's no surprise he saw her running wild, doing her crazy acrobatic tricks following her victory. Such an April thing to do, he thought as he rolled his eyes. He wander over, his hands in his pockets to congratulate the quidditch queen. Not so far from where she was jumping around, Syrus heard some kid say something stupid that really bugged him. Syrus being Syrus, walked behind her taking out his wand he directed right at the violin she was carrying. The boy shouted out the levitating spell, in his attempts to have the little brat regret she said anything. "Honestly, do you have anything better to do? You're way out of bound, brat!"

Even though Geo hadn't been able to play in her first game as a team member, she had still loved watching as it played out, and had been even more so delighted when April had caught the snitch. She was so proud of her friend, and she'd followed the Hufflepuff out from the game, laughing as she saw her cartwheeling across the lawn. The third year was hanging back a little, letting April have a moment to celebrate with herself, until she spotted another girl join them. She recognised Corrine too from the game Geo had running throughout the school, but she'd not specifically spoken to the older student before. Geo should have kept up with the rest of her teammates, who were headed towards the castle, when another two students joined her friend. In just a few comments, the scene on the lawn had altered, and Geo was witnessing what appeared to be the beginning of an argument brewing. It wasn't that she wanted to get involved, but she was compelled to look out for her friends above anything else, and as the boy took out his wand and aimed it at the student who'd remarked something sarcastic in Aprils direction, Geo couldn't help but look across with a mix of confusion and horror at how this had turned so quickly. "Hey", the third year called out, storming across the grass as her mood suddenly fluctuated. "Can't anyone just be happy for the outcome here?" she asked, wondering why anyone was trying to nit pick and start a brawl. There was no need for wands and threats when there were so many talents and skills around them to be applauding.

April sat up as she heard someone shout a congratulations at her. She beamed and waved as she saw Corrine. "Thanks!" It was nice to know the girl wasn't harboring hard feelings from the time April had tried to attack her for the assassin game and startled her. Basking in her victory, she was still smiling as the younger girl spoke. April recognized this girl as the one that had tried to use the antiquated lavatory on the fifth floor. The girl's words were mean, but April couldn't bring herself to care today. She just snorted. "Thanks! Did you ever find a working bathroom?" She asked in an extra cheerful voice as she got to her feet,. She resisted the urge to stick out her tongue at the younger girl. But then she saw Syrus wandering over. He was always fun to talk to, so she decided to ignore the annoying girl to talk to him. She got to her feet, but frowned when she saw Syrus draw his wand. "Syrus, stop that!" She said, walking over. "That violin can't help having joyless grump of an owner." she said, giving the girl a dismissive look. Geo also got into the mix, trying to keep the peace. April put her hand on Syrus's arm, the one that was holding his wand. She hoped it would help him calm down. She nodded at Geo's statement. "Right? None of you are even bitter Ravenclaws, so relax!"

Corrine barely had the opportunity to smile at April's thank you before things went south. The Gryffindor' s expression changed to one of true confusion as another girl came out of nowhere and was incredibly rude to April. She didn't pretend to know the Hufflepuff well, but she'd seemed friendly so Corrine was offended on her behalf. "Hey!" she replied angrily, but even that was interrupted by Syrus. Corrine had never seen him anything other than fun, and he wondered why this girl had seemed to get under his skin so quickly.

"Seriously!" she agreed with Geovanna as she appeared on the scene before joining the chorus asking Syrus to stop. "You're better than this, Syrus" she said, her arms crossing against her chest. Corrine knew him better than any of the others here, so she focused her attention on him. And then she noticed April's hand on his arm, and it suddenly dawned on her why he might have been so angry. Her friend had a crush or a girlfriend or a something.

Syrus ignored their shouts for him to fall back before April's hand literally got in his way. Syrus stood idle for the moment, then he felt compelled to lower his wand. "You're no fun." He spoke mostly to April. If she hadn't gotten in his way he would've carry on with a game of monkey in the middle. Syrus rolled his eyes at the others who had berated him. "Whatever. Let her walk all over ya, see if I care the next time one of these little dweebs show you up!" Syrus went onto move himself away from the situation completely. He shot Corrine a look, annoyed he wasn't applaud for sticking up for his friend. He sort felt embarrassed as he started walking away from the group of girls. Typical. Girls were all alike to him, it seems. "See ya not later!"
OOCOut of Character:
Oops. >_<

April had hoped her words combined with Geo and Corrine's would calm Syrus down, or at least stop him from doing something rash that would get him in trouble. Her face fell when he told her she was no fun and said some other unkind things. April's hand dropped from his arm, and she put her hands on her hips as she watched him go. "Fine!" She shouted after him. "I don't need you to care anyway." She huffed. Who did he think he was? Like April couldn't take on a first year on her own! Reminded of the young Slytherin's presence, April turned to her with a glare. "Thanks for that. Do us a favor and leave now." Her good mood after the match had soured somewhat, and she wanted this girl out of her face. Perhaps it was time to go inside, but she didn't want to run into Syrus again either.
