Perfect day

"Hai," she answered her senpai who seemed to hardly believe what she had said. It might be hard to believe but that was the truth. When Ryuuji-niisan asked why is that, "Separations, I hate them the most," that was all she could answer. Whenever she would get close to someone, it seemed like fate was trying to separate them, her parents and her friends. Ai was really happy when she heard from her senpai that he was happy to be her first friend in Hogwarts. "I'm happy too, that Nii-san is my first friend. I'll try to make friends with others, too. Hai, they are." she told her senpai. Ai was glad that her housemates were kind and friendly, but Ai didn't have the courage yet to make friends. When she first came to Hogwarts, she needed time to heal. That's why she didn't have a friend until now.

Ryuuji could understand the younger girl's hate of separation, after all, he hated that thing too. Or more that hate, he fears it. Being separated from someone who'd been really close to your heart really hurts after all, no matter how short the time that you've bonded, being away from such loved one would surely bring any person pain. Pain that might be hard to heal. But then again, Ryuuji knew that such thing is inevitable too, separation that is. But it's not like he could just let such thing to control his life, he'd overcome it, no matter what. "Separation hurts, demo ne, Ai-chan, so long as they are here." He gestured to his left chest, the place where his heart is, "So long as they are, even if they're not here physically, it's as if you're still together ne?" smiling once more, he leaned on the wall, his weight being supported by it. "No matter how long the distance is, so long as you never forget that person, so long as your memories together as still treasured by you, it's like you've never been separated at all." A paused then followed as he turned his head to the side to look at the younger girl seated right next to him. "So, Ai-chan, don't be afraid of it ne? Build as many connections as you want to."

Ryuuji was definitely happy when the younger girl said that she'll try to make friends. That would be good for her, after all, she'll be staying at the castle for seven whole years, and it would be easier as well as more fun to gain lots of friends, or nakamas as some call it. "Choose wisely Ai-chan." He then reminded her. Choose the persons that she'll befriend, after all, these friends would be her life long comrades too.

Ai knew she was about to cry when her senpai told her that separations hurt. But, she didn't want to cry again, she only wanted to show her smiling face to her senpai. She agreed that as long as they weren't together physically as long as memories are kept and treasured it will be alright, and she only showed her agreement by nodding. A few seconds later, she spoke, "I know it hurts, and I knew it was going to happen. Demo, doushite? Why did it happen so soon?" as she forced a little smile on her face. Ai had always treasured every moment of her life, the hardships and the success. That is why she can still remember every moment clearly. "I would never forget anything that happened or anyone that came into my life. I will always treasure every experience I gain," she said as she looked up at the ceiling. A moment of silence had passed them and Ai had nodded when Ryuuji-niisan told her to build connections as she wanted. Her senpai also reminded her to choose wisely, "Hai, I will," she said and she smiled at her senpai.

"I believe that everything would happen for a reason, and that goodbyes doesn't always mean that it's the end. " He knew that the smile that appeared at the younger girl's face was forced, and that the topic was a bit painful for her, what with her losing her parents, life and death separating them. He knew that it must be really painful, and that his words would help little, but even so, he wanted to comfort her, to make her feel that she's not alone, and that she shouldn't be afraid of separation at all, no matter how it hurts. "We don't really know the time that someone will be taken away from us, we don't own time, and that is why we should always, always, use it wisely, spend time with them, build memories, despite those memories being good or bad, it is something that will remind you of that special person." He continued, smiling gently at the younger girl. It hurts to see her force a smile, it doesn't fit her innocent face at all.

The silence that passed between them was neither uncomfortable or suffocating, in fact, it was a comfortable silence, the type which makes them think, and the type which relaxed him a little. "That's great Ai-chan." Those simple words hides a lot of meaning in it. The younger girl, despite of her very young age and childlike appearance, seemed to hold so much strength in her, so many experiences that had molded her to who she is now. Some may not be good, but even so, it makes her who he is, and Ryuuji cannot help but to smile at the though. This girl, despite being younger than him, seemed to e much more mature in her way of thinking.

Ai believed in what her senpai had told her. Goodbyes were never the end, she perceived it in a different way. "Goodbyes are the start of a new experience. They are the ones that make us stronger through every step. They may be painful, yes. But, you should at least try to see it in a different perspective, ne, Ryuuji-niisan," she said. That's how she views goodbyes and separations, but she was still afraid of them. So, she couldn't help but get hurt. Ai just nodded in agreement when her senpai had told her that she should build memories. "Don't worry, Nii-san. I will build a lot of memories," she said, very determined to do so. Ai would never give up, she still had so many things she wanted to do and experience. When Ryuuji-niisan told her that what she would be doing was great, it made her proud and happy. "Arigatou, Ryuuji-niisan," she thanked her senpai again like she did a lot of times today.

The younger girl was indeed open-minded, and she has this way of thinking that is different from young kids her age. She thinks deeply, not in the shallow way that most kids does. Maybe it was her experiences that made her like that, and honestly, Ryuuji cannot help but to feel so proud, the way that a father will feel when he looks at his daughter growing up so mature and beautifully. The thought brings a smile on his face, after all, to think that he's like Ai's father now was indeed a funny one. "Ai-chan's really smart eh?" He said fondly, the smile of his ever present in his face. He was having fun. The boring beginning of his day had turned to be quite an eventful one. And now that he had actually think about it, he had been planning to do something in the kitchen earlier, probably experiment on something to ease his boredom. Of course, all those thoughts had been forgotten when he bumped to this wall and met this young girl. He should really thank that wall later. No matter how weird it may sound. "Say, Ai-chan, can you cook, or bake?" He suddenly asked out of the blue, he's quite hungry now actually, though, that thought was nothing against this happiness and enjoyment that he's experiencing. It's fun talking to this girl, though there had been a rollercoaster of emotions, it's one great ride. He learned lots of things from her, and somehow, she probably learned things from him too.
OOCOut of Character:
Would you like to start a new topic in the kitchen or something?? haha.. :)

Ai was happy that her senpai had called her smart and she was proud about it. Many had said that their intelligence came from their father and that's what makes Ai happy the most. "Arigatou, Ryuuji-niisan. Demo, Ryuuji-niisan is smart, too," she complimented. It was true, her senpai knew a lot. And most of all, he knew what to say to make her happy. Ai was a bit surprised when she was asked if she can cook or bake. Ai thought clearly about the answer. She remembered how she would spend time in the kitchen with her friends. "Both," she answered. Ai wondered why her senpai was asking and she unconsciously asked, "Doushite, Ryuuji-niisan?" and waited for his reply.

OOCOut of Character:

<COLOR color="#000">"Arigatou, Ai-chan" Ryuuji was definitely happy with the compliment that he got from the younger girl, he's happy definitely happy indeed. Of course, most people had already commented on him being smart and all, what with him being a Ravenclaw, but hearing this from the young girl had a different effect. He knew that it was an honest compliment, one that wasn't trying to just please him just for sake of pleasing him, no, this one was indeed an honest and true statement, which made it more special for him of course. "Eto... Nii-san is quite hungry." He said truthfully, albeit with a little shyness in his tone. His stomach made that sound again, which he had learned, was called borborygmus. "Say, do you want to explore the kitchen then Ai-chan? The elves are quite helpful and are really kind too."
OOCOut of Character:
Sure, I'll start one for them. :) Just a change of location or something haha.. :)
and don't worry, it's fine, I do that sometimes too.. haha.. :)

"You're welcome, Nii-san," she told her senpai. Ai was really happy to meet her senpai and was glad to be able to spend time with him. Ai was quite surprised when Ryuuji-niisan suddenly told her that he was hungry. And now that Ai thought about it, she hasn't eaten yet as well and she suddenly heard her stomach rumbling. Ai blushed quite embarrassed at the sound her stomach just made, "Ne, Ryuuji-niisan, I am too." she told her senpai. Then, Ryuuji-niisan invited her to explore the kitchen, and the idea made Ai excited. She hasn't been to the kitchen yet and wanted to see it for herself. "Hai! Maybe, I can ask them to help me cook or bake something," she said. Ai missed cooking and baking, because in the Muggle world that is what she would do for her brother and for her friends whenever they go somewhere.

<COLOR color="#000">Ryuuji laughed at the sound that the girl's stomach had just made. It was funny that both of them had forgotten to eat because they were having fun with their conversation. In fact, if their stomachs hadn't made that sound at all, they probably wouldn't have noticed how time flew by easily. Well, as what everyone says, time passed by to quickly when one's having fun. And right at this moment, that was indeed proven to be true. "That sound is called borborygmus Ai-chan." He said in between his laughs as he pointed at her stomach. This laughter had been stopped however, when his own stomach made the same sound. He paused, reddening a little before erupting into laughter once more. "We could form a band, really.." He joked as he stood up and offered his hand to help the younger girl stand up as well. They'll be exploring the kitchen, and hopefully, find something to eat there. He'd done this a few times before already, and in fact, he had learned few cooking skills from those generous elves who had been more than willing enough to accommodate him. "They'll be more than happy to teach you Ai-chan." He added, looking forward for the things that the two of them may discover at the kitchen for now.

Ai laughed with her senpai as they heard the sound of their stomachs that Ryuuji-niisan had told her to be called as borborygmus. She found it hard to stop laughing, especially when her senpai's stomach made a sound once more. "Yeah we, could," she told her senpai as she accepted his hand and stood up. She brushed off the dirt that got on her clothes and smiled at her senpai. "Then, I'll be more than happy to learn more under their guidance," she said as she followed her senpai to their next stop: the kitchen.
