Perfect day

"I'll happily take challenge him for a match sometime.." Ryuuji said, his tone, confident. To win or not to win, it doesn't matter at all, he just wanted to have fun, and the thought of being able to play soccer once more already sent tinges to his spine, making him overly excited. "I really want to meet him Ai-chan..." He sounded a bit like a four year old boy as he told her those words, giving her that upward glance once more that his older sister would surely not be able to resist. He'd love to play again, he'd love to feel the wind against him once more. And at the moment, there is a great possibility that he'll experience it again.

"I love all the sports out there, be it magical, or non-magical." It was true though, Ryuuji is really an athletic guy. Despite his small frame, he's quite fast and agile, and he has good reflexes too. That is why before he had attended hogwarts, he had been sought out by the clubs in the muggle school that he used to attend. "Hai, you should try out Aic-chan, be hufflepuff's pride.. I'll cheer you one when you play your matches, though, there could be a possibility that we'd face each other too..."

Ai wasn't surprise at all when her senpai told her that he would gladly take a challenge for a match with her brother in the sport of soccer. She found it a bit cute when her senpai acted a bit childish in front of her, and she swore, she let out a small giggle. "Hai, hai. I'll tell Onii-chan to bring the ball when we go swimming, or sometime else, okay." she assured her senpai. Ai was sure her brother wouldn't refuse a challenge especially in a game of soccer. "Ehh, Onii-chan likes sports too. Ryuuji-niisan and Onii-chan have a lot in common," she pointed out. It was true and she was happy about it. "Doushite? Is Ryuuji-niisan trying out for a position in Ravenclaw, too?" she asked. "I'm going to try out for Seeker. And, I think Onii-chan plans to be a chaser. How about, Nii-san?" she asked again. Ai's curious side was starting to come out and she wanted to hold it in because she knew she would be annoying if it was to come out.

Ryuuji's eyes shone in excitement as he listened to the younger girl talk. He's really looking forward to the day that him and Ai's twin brother will meet. Surely, it would be a day to remember, just like how this day would be treasured in his memories too. "Hai, hai.. that's a promise alright Ai-chan?" He extend his hand for a pinky promise once more, smiling like a little child who had just been told that he would be going to the amusement park with his parents. He can't help it though, for that calm and serene aura of him would be instantly replaced by a childish and bubbly one whenever the talk is about sports, the one thing that he loves so much.

"It's just a secret between us alright? I tried out for the position of keeper, I don't know the results yet, but hopefully, I got it.." He said cheerfully, placing his index finger in front of his lips as a gesture of saying that she shouldn't tell anyone about it at all. "Oh, being a seeker is good, and so as the chaser. You'd get a lot of actions in the game. Well, I'm more of a keeper guy, you know, just like a goalkeeper?" He said animatedly as he gestured the actions with his hands, still smiling at the younger girl. "How about Ai-chan, what else do you like aside from music and fashion?"

Ai watched as her senpai got covered up in excitement. "Hai, I promise," she swore with a pinky promise once more. Ai was looking forward to her brother and her senpai meeting, it would surely be fun, since they have a lot of similarities. "Hai, a secret. Gambatte ne, Ryuuji-niisan. I hope you get the position." she told her senpai. Ai wanted to support her senpai like how he had supported her so she just had to say good luck. "Well, me and Onii-chan likes to move a lot around the field." she commented. It was true, if she ever wanted to play, she never wanted to stay on the same spot. She wanted some role where she could move a lot around and would be a challenge to her. Ai thought hard on what else she liked, "Ah! I like skating and karate. I don't skate much but, I'm a red belt in Karate. Though I'm still no match for Onii-chan who is a brown belt." she said. Well, it always has been hard for her to find things where she can beat her brother, but it doesn't matter to her who is better among the two of them. Because she loves her brother, she doesn't let competitions, jealousy and envy get in the way of their relationship.

"Arigatou Ai-chan, once I get the results, you'll be the first one to know.." He smiled once more. Ryuuji's really looking forward to the result of the try-outs, be it that he had been accepted or not, at least, he'd know how he had fared in the said event. And besides, he knew how to accept defeat, so if he wouldn't be able to get the position that he had tried out for, then it just meant that there was someone else who is more deserving than him, and that he needed to practice more. He still have three years after all, so, he could still have a chance to try out once more next year. He'll surely train hard every time he'd get the chance too, that way, he would be able to improve the skills that he had. "Whatever position it is, I still think that they are equally important, as long as you are enjoying what you are doing and you are doing your best, then it is all good." It's true, being a keeper may not get as much attention as the other positions do, but even so, being the last line of defense is something that he deemed to be really important too.

"Oh, skating is really good, onee-sama loves to do it too, well, every time she would have free time, she'll go skate. Sometimes, I'd join her too, after a long convincing from her." His sister loves spending time with him, and sometimes, he does too, after all, there are only two of them, and despite them not being related by blood, Ryuuji would never exchange his older sister with someone else. He'll always always protect her the same way that she said that she'll protect him too. Though of course sometimes, he's like the older one between the two.

Ai was really glad when Ryuuji-niisan had told her that she would be the first one to know if he was able to be the keeper of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. Ai agreed on what her senpai had said. It was true that everyone is important and what's important was having fun while doing your best. "Hai, having fun and doing your best is what's important in playing games. Teamwork is essential as well, every member having own jobs only they can do." she agreed. Being a member of the team will require training, but Ai was willing to go through all that, because she is determine to become a part of the team. "Then, Ryuuji-niisan also likes to skate," she commented. Ai loved skating although its an opposite of Ryuuji-niisan. She was the one who always convinces her brother to go with her. Ai loved her brother and wanted to always be with him. And, she swore that no matter what she's against, she will always protect her brother, the way he is protecting her. "Ne, Ryuuji-niisan. What is it you fear the most?" she asked. Ai was always curious about interests and fears. She could not talk nor ask others about it, but now, she has a friend, a brotherly figure and a senpaiwho she could talk to.

"I guess you could say that too, I honestly don't like it at first, but then, after a lot of times of doing that with my sister, I grew to love it too." Ice skating is one of the things that Ryuuji and his sister uses to bond. At first, he found it hard to hold his balance while on top of the ice, but then, through sheer will and determination to show his sister that he could also do it, he was able to learn somehow, and in fact, he could skate faster than his sister could now, a fact which her sister hates when he would point it out to her. Though of course, this bickering is just some way for them to have fun too. After all, they never had a serious fight.

"Fear?" Ryuuji wasn't sure about how he should answer the younger girl. What was it that he really fears the most? "What I fear the most is probably, to loose anyone whom I care for. I'm not afraid of dying, cause I know that from the second that people are born, they are already walking to their death, but even so, what I fear is for death to take away my loved one, I don't care if I die, but I don't want to lose them. I'm quite selfish aren't I?" He said with a forced smile. He didn't want to be left alone, and he knew that it was quite a self-centered thought, yet even so, he still can't change that in him. "How about Ai-chan?" He said, diverting the question away from him at the moment.

Ai can see the happiness on her senpai's face while talking about his sister. She understand how it felt since she always had the same kind of face when she talks about her brother. Her friends always said that she had a gentle face if she was talking about her brother, and she didn't even noticed. Ai listened as Ryuuji-niisan told her what his fear was. "I see, so someone close to him dying is his fear," she thought. "Hai, you are selfish, Ryuuji-niisan," she said and smiled at her senpai. And when she was asked what her fear was, she said, "Then, maybe again. I'm also as selfish as Ryuuji-niisan." Ai thought hard about her answer. "Maybe even more," she continued, "I am afraid of death. I am afraid of someone close to me dying. And most of all, I am afraid of separations. Death for myself is something I fear because I don't want to leave those I love. But, then again, I am also scared of them leaving me." she explained as she bowed down her head. Thoughts of the past came flashing back to her and she waited in silence for her senpai's reply.

"Mou, that hurts Ai-chan." Ryuuji said with a mock hurt tone as he pouted a little, a really childish act if he may say so. The girl was very honest, very honest that she didn't even hesitate to tell him that he was, indeed, such person. It was quite amusing really, cause if it was any other person, they might tell him that no, he was not being selfish at all. A consolation that he didn't really want to hear anyone telling him. "Demo, honto ni, you are right, Nii-san is a selfish person, a really selfish person indeed." He smiled again, this time, more truthfully than before as he extended his hand to pat the younger girl at the head. It was like seeing his younger self, albeit a female version. But then again, some people tell him that he looked like a girl too. Something that he didn't really appreciate.

A laugh escape him at the girl's sudden claim. They really were the same, weren't they? "Then, we're both selfish.. it's only natural though, cause we love them so much that we don't want to lose any of them... we can't cheat death, but we can always spend the most of our time with them..." The topic was getting a bit depressing for him, and he can see that it was affecting the younger girl too, after all, like what she had shared, her parents had passed away because of a certain tragedy. He didn't want to upset her even more by talking about such topic. "You know what, obaa-sama told me a story before, she said that before someone is born, the chief of heaven asks the soul about the three wishes that he wanted to fulfill as he live here on earth, then, once they were born, they don't know what that wish is, that's why people sometimes says that they are looking for their mission in life ne? Then, according to obaa-sama, once that soul fulfilled its three wishes, it goes back to heaven, and one day, it will be reborn again." It was a story that his grandmother would always tell him whenever he would tell her that he was afraid of losing anyone. It was the thought that comforts him whenever he is on the verge of crying whenever he would have certain nightmares about death.

Ai was surprised that her senpai agreed on the idea that he was selfish, after all, only a few would claim that to be true about themselves. Ai listened to the story that Ryuuji-niisan had told her. It was a very nice story and it made her happy again. It made her spirits go up once more and said, "Obaa-sama sounds like a cool person," she commented happily. And she a thought had entered her mind, "You noticed it, didn't you, Ryuuji-niisan. That I was being sad again. I noticed you too, getting sad for a moment," she said. Ai had noticed a different atmosphere when she started asking about fear and she knew that she made both of them feel uneasy. "Gomen for asking such things. And, arigatou for cheering me up, again, Ryuuji-niisan," she told her senpai as she flashed a happy smile.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry for mixing-up the characters AGAIN.... :p

Ryuuji had to laugh at the younger girl's comment. It was just that that was the first time that someone had said that his grandmother is a cool person. After all, it is not something that would describe someone at such age. He did agree though, despite his grandmother's odd little quirks which is something that his sister had obviously inherited, she is indeed, a very interesting person. "That's a really weird compliment Ai-chan.." He said, smiling fondly at the younger girl. He was happy, really happy to have met her at such a time. His boredom had been instantly forgotten. "Obaa-sama is weird too though, overall, my whole family is really really weird.." He added before he laughed once more, laughed too much that his side is already hurting.

"hai, hai, it's because when Ai-chan is sad, there's this heavy feeling here.." He placed his hand at his left chest, the smile not leaving his face. It was weird really, how he would have this certain connection with the individuals whom he get attached with. He would often feel their pain, or sometimes, just by looking, he'd get the idea of what they're feeling. It was probably normal for a person who gets attached to person easily jut like him, an emotional individual who always love to make people smile. "There's no need to apologize Ai-chan, it's nothing, really.."

Ai laughed at Ryuuji-senpai for saying that her comment was weird, "Was it really that weird?" she asked. But, what she thought was true. Her senpai's family seemed interesting for her, to the point that she wanted to meet them. Ai had just finished laughing when her senpai had told her that there was a heavy feeling if she was sad. Ai never notices such things but, that's what her friends used to say to her as well. "Arigatou, Ryuuji-niisan," she said. Although, she wasn't quite sure what the thank you was really for.

"It is weird, believe me.. Obaa-sama is a really traditional lady, a yamato nadeshiko if I may say so.. demo, I'm pretty sure that she'd be really happy to hear that someone had just call her cool." He exclaimed animatedly, thinking about his grandmother back home. She was already old, but still, there was this certain elegance and beauty in her that makes her appear younger to him. "You should really meet them Ai-chan.." He continued once more, really looking forward to introducing the younger girl to his family. He was pretty sure that they'd like her. There's a lot of reason to like the younger girl after all, she's adorable, kind, and really honest too; qualities that his mother would be sure to be fond of.

"ne, Ai-chan, nii-san is just curious, demo, do you have someone that you like?" There was this mischievous tone in his voice, and that catlike smile was there again. He was just curious, really curious about the said topic. He knew that the girl was way too young for something like that, but then again, their generation is way to ahead too. It won't be a surprise if she has someone that she really admired to. though in his case, he doesn't have one yet.

"Honto ni? I'd like meeting them, Ryuuji-niisan. They sound really fun and interesting," she said really happily. Right now, Ai was looking forward to meeting her senpai's family. "Then, I'd like to hurry and introduce Ryuuji-niisan to Onii-chan," she said. She was very excited either meeting her senpai's family or introducing her senpai to her brother. It both made her very happy. When Ryuuji-niisan suddenly asked if she had someone she asked and Ai turned bright red to the ears. "Ha-hai." she replied softly. She was quite shy especially that her senpai had the mischievous tone in his voice once again.

Ryuuji's smile widened a little when he saw the younger girl's reaction at his question. Now, he was very much interested to hear about it. He wonders which guy was it that the younger girl adores. Ai is a really great girl, and whoever that person is, he must surely be lucky, and surely, he must have a great personality too. "Then, would Ai-chan be willing to share that story to nii-san?" He asked, still smiling. Interest and excitement was evident in those expressive eyes of his. The feeling was just like playing in the soccer field for him. He was greatly interested, greatly looking forward to the girl's next statement. Ryuuji had never been infatuated with someone yet, he likes a lot of people, but not to the extent that someone would say that he is already adoring the said person. His sister would sometimes tease him about it too. Whenever he gets back home, the same question that he had just asked the younger girl is often being thrown to him by his sister. Which would then be followed by his father reprimanding her and telling her that Ryuuji was just too young for something like that. Something taht Ryuuji would agreed with. He still have a lot of years ahead, and besides, if he'd somehow find a girl that he likes, he didn't know how he'd be able to tell her about it too.

When her senpai asked Ai if she would be willing to share the story, her face turned ever redder. Ai was very flustered and embarrassed. "Hai, I'll tell," she answered. Ai tried to remember the memories of the times she spent with the one she liked. "The one I like is Mitsuhiko-kun. He is one of my Onii-chan's friends and one of my three friends as well. He was the first boy to try and be friends with me, followed by Genta-kun. Mitsuhiko-kun was the one who comforts me when I'm scared sometimes. And, once, he ended up getting hurt when he tried to protect me when me and Onii-chan were kidnapped once." she told her senpai. Mitsuhiko-kun was the person Ai liked and she protects him and helps him just like the way he protects and helps her. Pleasant memories came back to Ai and that made her smile.

"Mitsuhiko-kun must be a really great person, ne, Ai-chan? That' why you like him so much.." Ryuuji smiled once again. From what he was hearing, he could infer that this Mitsuhiko person is a really interesting one, and that he must be someone who's good enough that even the younger girl adores him as much. "Ai-chan's really happy to have met someone like Mitsuhiko-kun, ne?" The smile in the girl's face looks so innocent and genuine at the same time. He could clearly see that the boy is really important for the said girl. He wonders what it felt like, to adore someone the same way that she did. "Does Ai-chan's heart do this dokidoki thing?" He asked curiously, head tilted a little to the side as he wondered about the said question. People says that once a person is infatuated with a certain someone, such person would often feel their hearts raced in their chest. Like being nervous or something.

"Ah.. matte, matte, you were kidnapped before?" such realization had hit him that he suddenly stood up from his seat. He then sat down again, taking deep breaths as he looked seriously at the younger girl. He was so curious about this so called crush thing of the younger girl that he didn't really paid attention to that kidnapped event that she had just said, only now did it fully sunk in. "Doushite? What happened Ai-chan?"

Ai agreed on her senpai that Mitsuhiko-kun was a great person. It was the truth, he was smart, kind and brave. "Hai, he really is a great person. And I am glad to have met him," she said. Ai could still remember how Mitsuhiko-kun would worry about her and take care of her at school and when they were together. When Ryuuji-niisan asked if Ai's heart races, she didn't know what to say. All she knew was that she was getting redder and redder. Whenever Ai would talk about Mitsuhiko-kun, she would blush and get flustered. Ai's memories came back to her and was interrupted when Ryuuji-niisan asked if she was kidnapped before, "Hai, about once to thrice a month," she said and nodded in agreement. When her senpai had asked what happened Ai tried to remember. "I told you, right? Oto-san was a famous novelist. Okaa-san was a famous actress. Oji-chan is a university professor and inventor and Oba-chan is a fashion designer. From that on, we can have an idea of what's happening. From time to time, Onii-chan and I would get kidnapped, for the inheritance and for the ransom. Well, Onii-chan always comes up with a plan to escape. And sometimes, Ayumi-chan, Genta-kun and Mitsuhiko-kun will come to our rescue." she explained. Ryuuji-niisan was the first person Ai ever shared it to, and she didn't know what his reaction would be.

Ryuuji just smiled fondly at the younger girl. This adoration that she had for this friend of hers was surely pure and innocent. And it was admirable too. He wonders if he could ever get the chance to feel such thing. Maybe not, maybe yes. But then again, his family might probably interfere with it or something, with him being the heir of their company, he was quite sure that his family would surely want to take everything into consideration before making any plans that may compromise the family. Shaking his head a little, he just watched the girl's face getting redder. Any moment more, she'd probably look like an apple or something, a thought which brings him to laugh a little, before he stopped himself again.

"Thrice a month? Now that a lot Ai-chan." He commented, worrying a bit about how the girl's life is in danger most of the time. It was lucky that she's never been seriously injured or anything it seemed. And besides, though she is a witch now, and she knew already probably how to use magic, it probably won't help her at all outside hogwarts, after all, they were not allowed to use magic out the school. "I understand the circumstances, it must be really scary then Ai-chan, you're really lucky to have such friends like them to help you all the time." Though Ryuuji's family is a prominent one, he had never been kidnapped even once, must be because of his luck or because his family's security is quite good, or because of their family's connections or something. "Nii-san will try to protect you too as much as I can."

Ai could understand Ryuuji-niisan worrying over her. After all, who wouldn't? A girl getting kidnapped on a monthly schedule, it is weird, but dangerous, very dangerous. "Hai, that's still a few. I still remember when Oto-san and Okaa-san just died, there were a lot of attempts. And on those attempts almost half of them would succeed, bringing at least me or Onii-chan." she said with a smile on her face. She still remembered those times when she would just go out to the garden and the next thing she knew she was in a warehouse. When her senpai commented that it must be really scary, Ai said, "Well, at first it was. I would always cry, but as time passed by, I just got used to it. Getting dragged somewhere then thinking of a way to get out. But, the men started hurting me and Onii-chan so we learned karate and learn how to defend ourselves when escaping. That's when the attempts lessened, but they got more dangerous. So, I'm really glad that their friends would always rescue me and Onii-chan," she said. But, there were still foolish ones who tries to kidnap her and her brother and fails to do so, and it really annoyed her the ones who fail and the ones who succeed. When her senpai said that he would also protect her Ai felt happy and said, "Arigatou, Ryuuji-niisan."

"Why can't the authorities apprehend those people? It's really dangerous.." Ryuuji, being raised in the muggle world, cannot really understand why these people would find it hard to catch such criminals. Maybe, yes, it's because of how they move and he could even go as far as to call them intelligent, but then again, isn't it that the authorities must exert more effort in taking care of the security of the community? It might be hard yes, but it is their duties too. "Being rich is not as good as some people think really..." It was true, people may think that being rich is really great as you are capable of buying the things that you want, you may also treat yourselves to trips to the different places that you've ever dream of visiting, but on the downside, sometimes, your safety will also be put at risk, just like the situation with Ai and her twin brother. It must be really scary, being involve in such incidents with such a young age. "Ai-chan should be really, really careful ne? Nii-san would be saddened if something happens, and I may not be able to control myself if someone tries to hurt you or anyone else for that matter." Ryuuji might be a calm, kind, and carefree guy, but when the time calls for it, he can be dangerous too. No one dares to mess with his family, his friends, and his loved ones, for if they did, Ryuuji would be the one to act on his loved ones' behalf.

"Saa, I don't know. Well, we tried contacting them, demo, I don't know what happened," she told her senpai. Ai had know idea what happened to the police, she didn't know why they couldn't stop the kidnappings or prevent them at the very least. "I agree, Ryuuji-niisan. They think it's really fun, they didn't think of it as being dangerous," she said with a smile on her face. She couldn't explain why she could smile while talking about her experiences. She thought maybe it was because she threw off a little burden from her chest. "Ryuuji-niisan doesn't have to worry. I won't get into another kidnapping," she said with quite a bit of a worried face and she hoped it would be true. Ai could never tell if it will happen or not, but, she will try her best for the senpai that is worrying about her right now. "Dakara, Ryuuji-niisan should also be careful, okay?" she said with a happy smile on her face.

"Hai, I'll be careful too. Don't worry, alright Ai-chan?" Ryuuji's not really one to think of himself first before others, in fact, other's health and safety is more important to him that his own. But that does not mean that he'll just ignore himself, he always try to keep himself good for the sake of his family too. He won't be able to forgive himself if they would be hurt because of his own fault after all. Taking a deep breath, Ryuuji tried to stir the topic away from those depressing thoughts. The atmosphere is already quite suffocating, and he doesn't like it at all. "saa.. Ai-chan, you have friends already at home, how about here then?" He asked, coming up with a lighter topic. He knew how hard it is to be a first year, especially if you have no one else that you know. It is really difficult to cope up with the new environment and to socialize with other people after all, unless of course, if you are an overly friendly individual.

Ai was glad that Ryuuji-niisan would also be careful. After all, Ai now cared a lot for her new brotherly figure and he mattered a lot to her. "Hai!" she said gladly. Ryuuji-niisan's question made her think on how many friends she already has in Hogwarts. A few seconds later the answer came to her. She held out her hand, finger shown. "Ichi," she said. "Only Ryuuji-niisan," she continued. Ai had barely talked to other people without making a fight. After all, she didn't want separations, so she shoved people off. And that's the reason she haven't made any friends yet.

"Ichi?" Ryuuji can hardly believe what he had heard. The girl was extremely adorable, and she's kind too. Why would it be so hard to befriend her then? He himself had quickly grown attached to the younger kid, but then again, it was just him. After all, he's easy to get along with any type of people. Though, never did he get so close just like this time. "Doushite?" He cannot help but to asked the younger girl about the reason of her not having as many friends as she should be having. The first year of stay at Hogwarts is really important as this would be the time to learn the rope and to build as many connection as possible. "Demo, if that was the case, I'm really happy to be Ai-chan's first friend here... but Ai-chan, you should really have other friends as well, how about in hufflepuff? They're really kind from what I heard."
