Marisol had been looking forward to this Yule Ball because she was going with someone she liked. Not that she didn't like her best friends who had both been her dates the last two years, but liked as a crush. This made the entire experience so different and more thrilling. As part of her new resolution to stop lying about unnecessary things, Marisol wanted to introduce Octavian to her friends, except Wyatt whom she was currently not talking to. Plus the fact that Octavian was someone who could actually, possibly be her boyfriend, and was not just a fake cover up like Cato had been, made her even more eager for Asaiah and him to meet. She had chosen to introduce them at the Yule ball because they had the highest chances of all being in the same place at the same time, now she just had to find the Slytherin in the crowd.

The Yule ball had been a lot of fun so far, Octavian was completely entranced by his date who was easily the most beautiful girl at the dance. The Gryffindor stood at the refreshments table with a drink in hand watching the couples on the dance floor. Marisol had gone off in search of a friend of hers so she could introduce the two of them. He was glad to see she was so eager to introduce him to her friends, it meant she was as keen about him as he was about her. Octavian took a sip of his pumpkin juice as he kept an eye out for his returning date, wondering who exactly this friend of hers was.

Even though the Slytherin was excited to meet up with his one of his best friends and her date, he could not help to feel a little bit guilty for leaving Zara alone in the hospital wing that night so that he could go to the Yule Ball and have fun while she was sick in bed. On his way towards the Great Hall Asaiah smiled when he passed a few of his housemates and started looking for Marisol immediately once he was inside of the room, ignoring the decorations and everything that came with it completely since it was probably the same as the last two years. He practically ran to his friend when he spotted her, and hugged her before looking at the purple dress she was wearing. ''You look nice, Woods.'' the boy said with a smile on his face.

The Ravenclaw was disappointed at how plain and almost funeral feeling her dress looked like. It must be because her mother sent them rather than her aunt, Teagan's mother felt that she should mourn not coming home for the holidays. Though that's not going to stop the teenager from going to the ball. Liam had asked her and not showing up would just be rude on her part. A smile plastered on her lips as she made her way to the Great Hall, searching for her date until her gaze stop short at the familiar humanly figure of Marisol Woods. Teagan's smile turned into a smirk. Well, what do you know, canines do love a party She thought to herself while walking straight to the refreshment table and got herself some fruit punch. Rather stand there while Liam hasn't arrived, Teagan was in the mood to compliment someone. "Lovely dress you got, Marisol." She chimed in between her and Murphy. "Almost has the same color as my favorite flower." Teagan managed to make a straight face with at least a smile still on her lips. The Ravenclaw wanted the Gryffindor to know that she will be untouchable in a minute. "Have you ever heard of Monkshood? They're very pretty and reliable to some." She informed not just Marisol but Murphy as well.

Liam had been looking forward to the Yule ball ever since his encounter with Teagan in the kitchens. He wasn't sure if she felt about him the same way he did her but she had still agreed to attend the ball with him. Liam dressed quickly into his suit and made his way to the Great hall. He had agreed to meet Teagan inside so he went in to look around for her. She was pretty easy to spot, with her wavy blonde hair and her stunning black dress, Liam grinned and made his way over to her, he caught the tail end of the conversation between her and a couple of other people. "Playing nice as usual Teagan," He laughed as he appeared next to her among the group.

Marisol grinned as soon as she saw Asaiah and hugged him back tightly. She beamed at his compliment, feeling extremely giddy all night and said, "Thanks! You don't look so bad yourself mister," and rubbed his shaved head playfully. She barely had time to tell him about her date who was waiting for her; she pointed him out to the Slytherin and motioned for Octavian to come over. She was about to ask about Zara when she heard an unfortunately familiar voice.

Marisol turned around and looked icily at the Ravenclaw girl. But then the next thing she said threw her off a little. Something about the flower that Teagan said had triggered something in her brain and she was trying to recollect it. She didn't think it was something they had learned yet, but it was still nagging at her. Then she remembered someone saying how the flower was extremely poisonous but it was required for her potion. Marisol's heart began to quicken but she immediately tried to calm herself down. It was probably just a coincidence, that's all. "Thanks for the Herbology lesson," Marisol said dryly, "Can we help you?"

A lot seemed to happen in a relatively short space of time. Marisol seemed to pick out her friend and after speaking to him motioned for Octavian to come over. He made his way over to and her friend grinning at them both. "Hey I'm Octavian," he said offering out his hand. Soon another girl arrived, he recognised her face, she was the Ravenclaw keeper, rather well known for her outbursts during games, she was shortly joined by another boy who didn't seem too impressed by some of her comments, but then again neither did Marisol. Octavian was definitely missing something but it was quite clear Marisol and the girl didn't like each other all that much. Octavian shifted next to Marisol standing over her protectively, he didn't know what the girl wanted but he wasn't going to stand by while it happened. "What's your problem?" He asked the girl.

Asaiah chuckled when she rubbed his shaved head and smiled when her date walked towards them. ''I'm Asaiah.'' the Slytherin said while shaking the other boy's hand. He turned his head when Teagan approached them and the smile disappeared from his face, his mind filled with hatred towards the girl. He squinted his eyes when she mentioned the plant he had been getting himself familiar with over the last couple of weeks. For a moment he wondered whether the Ravenclaw knew about Marisol's secret because the plant she mentioned was used in a potion made for werewolves. Asaiah let his eyes slide from girl to girl before taking a step forward so he would stand in front of Teagan. ''Instead of answering that, I'm going to give you three seconds to leave us alone,'' the boy said through gritted teeth, anger boiling up inside of him. He wasn't going to let Teagan ruin the night for them.

The Ravenclaw wasn't the one to ruin someone's holiday cheer but she doesn't care if the person is a dangerous and hairy vermin like werewolves for example. Maybe be they oath to pass a more strict legislation toward her kind Teagan smiled mischievously when a certain someone popped up beside her. She didn't expect that he'll find her that quickly, but Teagan began being cautious around him. Teagan wrapped her arms around Liam's right arm. "I was just complimenting Miss Woods on how nice her dress is, that's all." She left a smile on her lips and acknowledge Liam's attire for the night. "You look dashing by the way, Liam." Her Irish accent strong when she's in the mood for some instigating. It was odd how calm Marisol was. Full moon is on the rise and yet, the werewolf is here. "Oh, Marisol, you're very welcome but that's not all it does." Teagan said sarcastically to Marisol with a little bit of a dramatic hand gesture to the chest like she really appreciates it. Although, before she could say what was it about the Monkswood, a guy she never saw in her entire life butt in. And Asaiah came in next, making a protective wall between her and Marisol.

Teagan chuckled lightly. She wanted to say to them that she and the others should be the one being protected from Marisol. They will never know when and where she'll transform. The third year Ravenclaw glance at the big windows surrounding the other wall of the Great Hall, it was a clear one outside, no clouds and the moon almost to its full potential. She looked back to the to men in front of her. "Don't worry, boys. I'm not going to hurt your damsel in distress. I guess compliments are not allowed in today's decade ..." Then she added, " ... Oh, have you all heard? The Ministry of Magic in England are pushing a new legislation about werewolves, courtesy of my dad, of course. He's pushing that every wizarding school in the world not to admit anyone that has lycanthropy even the one's enrolled already. I know it's a bit racist but parents do tend to be very protective of their children, specially hearing that there are some in this very school." Teagan sigh dramatically contemplating what she had just said. If Marisol would flinch even a strand of her hair. The legislation wasn't even presented in front of the Wizengamot members yet but she did mentioned about werewolves to her father, though, no name mentioned.

"You know while it's not yet been voted, we oath to be very careful which person we befriend with. And with the full moon in a couple of days, I'd rather be in the confines of my common room or at home if you're all going for the holidays. Now, Happy Christmas and be merry!" Teagan wasn't scared at the two guys in front of her, if they touched her, even a single hair on her body, she'll scream Marisol's name at the top of her lungs and start calling her a werewolf. "Would you care to dance, Liam?" She asked with her hand laid for him to take. It was simply a nice night for her, she has the upper hand this time and probably for the rest of their schooling at Hogwarts New Zealand.

[Sorry Dan I'm skipping your turn xD ]
Marisol resisted the urge to roll her eyes as soon as another boy joined the group, apparently Teagan's friend. She was going to point out that Teagan never tried to approach her friends when she was alone, always flanked by someone else beside her, but then again there was a reason she wasn't a Gryffindor. However, Marisol was glad she hadn't said anything about it because Octavian and Asaiah had stepped up to defend her. She appreciated the gesture and thought it was very sweet, but Teagan's 'damsel in distress' comment bothered her more than she thought it would. "I can take care of myself," she said to them, a little more aggressively than she intended, but her anger was directed towards the Ravenclaw.

The latina gritted her teeth, trying with all her might to keep her cool but soon her anger was replaced with panic. It was clear that the Ravenclaw's mention of Monkshood earlier was no coincidence, since now she was directly bringing up werewolves. Marisol's heart beat quickly, immediately fearing that Noelle had told the blonde-haired demon and furiously blinked her eyes to stop any tears that threatened to form. It had been hard enough for her to confess this secret to the second year Ravenclaw, the thought of Noelle betraying her and especially telling Teagan, of all people, hurt Marisol. It was possible that the dark-haired girl hadn't told her anything, but then she didn't understand how Teagan could know. Either way, it was obvious she knew and now she was torturing Mari with the secret. She knew how short-tempered Marisol was and now she couldn't even react or she would give herself away. Marisol felt cornered.

Instead, the Gryffindor took a deep breath and quickly gathered herself. "Wow Teagan, I didn't think you'd be foolish enough to believe dumb rumors that spread around school," Marisol said sarcastically, trying to put her defenses back up and deter any truth to the blonde girl's statements. "But even so, thanks for showing us what kind of a despicable human being you and your father are," Marisol said, smiling at her in a sickly sweet way. She wished she could tell her to just leave this school if her father was really that afraid of her attending classes with a werewolf, but Marisol had to bitterly bite her tongue as Teagan and her date left. Teagan was smart enough to figure out Marisol's secret somehow, but if those were her views on werewolves, she was definitely ignorant.

Liam was seeing a whole other side to Tegan and he wasn't sure he liked it, but he wasn't prepared to write her off because of it. He stood back watching the exchange between his date and the others, it was quite clear they didn't like each other. Teagan kept talking about Monkswood, Liam wasn't sure why but it seemed like she was dangling it in front of the girl like a threat, wasn't it something to do with a potion for werewolves? Surely the girl in front of him wasn't one but the more Tegan talked about legislation against them the more he wondered. Clearly he and Teagan had vastly contrasting views on the treatment of werewolves, but now wasn't the time to get into that. Liam just smiled at her when she asked if he wanted to dance and began to pull her away from the group. He turned to look at the group over his shoulder and mouthed sorry at them. Once he had Tegan to himself on the dance floor he finally got a word in, "What was that about?" he asked.
