Noemie could hardly believe that this was her final dance. her final school dance, after this there were few events left until graduation and the biggest one for her would be graduation. The Ravenclaw was sad at the prospect of this being her last dance and even if Asmodeus didn't want to go to it, Noemie wouldn't stop herself. So she put on a deep red dress and headed to the ball. In terms of what she could've worn and how she could've dressed it was quite casual, her hair sat naturally, cascading over her shoulders and a light amount of make up to just make herself look like she hadn't spent most of the day behind books. The girl smiled easily as she stepped into the great hall. Though it was maybe a bittersweet feeling she had towards this place, she also thought it was going to be a good night. She moved over to the drinks and got herself a little glass of butterbeer, before deciding that she should just dance. That would be a good thing to do at this event. She put down the drink and went out to where most were dancing a lot of them in couples and just started dancing to the music, she would miss these events but she wouldn't waste them now.

Red wasn't exactly Sophie's color, but she did like the dress she was wearing. It wasn't like her to fit with the theme of the dance, but today she had simply felt like it. She had caught up with Caro in the entrance hall and had entered the great hall with her friend. Caro's dress was the kind of pink Sophie would have made fun of on anyone else, so bright it was hard to look at it directly. She was sure the two of them were clashing horribly together. Sophie looked around in the great hall and spotted Noemie dancing alone. She stared at her for a moment, then glanced at Caro. "C'mon, I should go thank her for her rose." She said, even if she didn't particularly want to head over to someone who was dancing. "Are you coming?" She added to her friend as she took a few steps in the direction of the older girl. Sophie had grown to respect Noemie a lot during their time of working together on Hogwarts Monthly, and she wouldn't mind having a quick chat with her at her last event at Hogwarts.

November peered through the crowd at the Valentine's Dance. Her short dress was slightly uncomfortable, she wasn't entirely sure why she decided this was dress enough for her. She spotted Noemie dancing in the crowd and it made a smile appear on her face. She seemed to be dancing alone which was good sign in November's eyes. They were the same if that was the case, she came in protest as her Head Boy boyfriend was too busy studying and worrying about other things. He couldn't pull himself out to spend a night with her and friends. It made November angry, more than she thought she could ever be with him. Moving through the crowd she made her way up to Noemie and tapped her friend on the shoulder. "Noemie! You look so pretty tonight! Mind if I join you?" She asked over the music.

Tonight was absolutely crucial for Caro. She was wearing the most stand-out dress she owned, there was no missing her. By now Nixon had gotten her rose, and no doubt figured out what its message meant. His rose to her had been the wrong colour, but the kisses he signed it with were a clear signal that the Yule Ball was still on his mind. Tonight, everything was going to change. Unfortunately though, Caro hadn't seen any sign of Nixon yet. He was nowhere to be seen, so Caro was hanging around with Sophie, biding her time. It wasn't like she was easy to miss in this dress. Maybe he was just late. Caro was pulled out of her thoughts by Sophie, insisting they go talk to Noemie. Great. Noemie was good at her jobs on the Monthly, Caro supposed, but she couldn't help but dislike the girl. Noemie seemed to be effortlessly pretty, and of course everybody loved her. It was exhausting. Sophie wanted to talk to her though, and Caro wasn't going to put up a fight. She rolled her eyes, but let Sophie drag her over to the older girl, folding her arms and looking around silently. Caro had to keep an eye out for Nixon.

Noemie was content to dance on her own, since her partner would never go to one of these things she was happy to just continue enjoying herself by herself. she liked that they were able to be that independent of each other while still remaining loyal. He didn't hold her back and she didn't force him to whatever school event he'd only previously attended to annoy her. She would keep an eye out for friends, but the girl figured most of them would be busy and she didn't want to interfere with their dates. Noemie turned when someone tapped her on the shoulder and she smiled brightly realising who it was. November! The girl looked for Flavio with her but he didn't appear to be there, that was a bit odd. She gave the girl a warm greeting, "Thank you, you look beautiful too," the part-veela replied with ease, "Of course!" she wanted to ask where Flavio was, because she was curious but in the same way that she wouldn't generally bring up her boyfriend also not being there maybe it wasn't worth it. Instead she would just dance with November and enjoy herself. In the distance and who appeared to be walking in her direction she spotted Sophie and Caro, two hogwarts monthly girls. Noemie knew she should take Sophie for the rose, it was a nice gesture. So she turned to November, "Do you mind if we briefly talk to Sophie and Caro, I want to thank Sophie for the rose she gave me?" Noemie was smiling softly, brushing hair away from her eyes as she walked towards the pair. The part-veela moved confidently across to where they'd been approaching her direction, and she smiled at both, "Hey girls, Sophie, thanks for the rose you sent, it was beautiful," though Noemie had always been friends with Sophie's sister she could appreciate and respect Sophie as much.

As Sophie started making her way over to Noemie, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Hufflepuff from Amber's dorm approach as well. Cursing silently, Sophie stopped and hesitated, glancing at Caro. She figured Noemie hadn't seen her, so she was about to turn around and walk away when the girl approached her. Sophie suddenly felt awkward, but she tried her best to smile normally. "Hi Noemie, I was just about to thank you actually." Sophie muttered, suddenly a little shy. She cleared her throat. "So uh, thanks."
