Closed On the Same Level

Ivy had felt a little weird around Brooke ever since she had gotten the prefect's badge at the start of the year. It really was unfair that Brooke hadn't gotten one, she really deserved it, but now that Ivy had gotten one it just felt strange. Last year, it had been them against the world, both angry at the unfairness of it all. But now... Ivy had unintentionally left her behind. She felt bad for her friend, but also didn't think it was fair of her to be upset with her. It wasn't like she could help it. But for today, Ivy decided to eat lunch at the Ravenclaw table rather than the Slytherin table. At least things with Delilah could return to normal now, right? She found her friend at the Ravenclaw table and sat down next to her, nudging her gently in greeting. "Hey."

Delilah was hoping this year would be better than the last. Considering everything that happened it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish. It also helped that they had a short break between exams before they'd face them again next year. Their final year. She at least had a few more moments to spare and could actually enjoy her lunch. She looked up as Ivy joined her and she smiled. They hadn't planned to meet up but she was happy for the time together regardless. "Hi." she said and moved over a bit so they both had some more room to sit. "I didn't really get a chance to talk to you at the prefect meeting but congratulations." she said and gestured to Ivy's new badge. Delilah had felt relived when she had heard Ivy had gotten prefect, like something was finally set right. She had half expected to hear Brooke had received similar good news, but that hadn't been the case.
