Rory had not been happy with his performance in quidditch and had thus taken to spending more and more time practicing. He spent more time than ever on the pitch. After all, he didn’t want to be the one of his family to not be good at this sport, to be the one that failed to make a team once having left school. Rory would have no intention of joining any team upon leaving school, but he felt like it would just be rude if he wasn’t even invited to try out for one. However, that was still a long way away, and he had all the time in the world to practice, improve for the point where he would be old enough to join a team after school, or just be invited to try out for one. He was flying around, gripping one of the practice quaffles about, aiming and throwing as much as he could. With no one in goals it was a little difficult to aim right, but he was still trying his best. The slytheirn knew that with time he would get better and better and eventually he would definitely hit more and more of them on target. Of course practicing like this usually removed the keeper aspect, but he knew the first task was being more on target and the second was avoiding someone catching it.

The problem was that Rory grew fairly bored of what he was doing, practicing was all fine and well, but he would eventually grow bored of it, and he always did. The boy was aiming and flying, aiming and flying, flying and aiming, just repetitive. He noticed someone come on to the pitch and in that didn’t give a damn who it was but flew down, if only get a closer look at the person, and noticed with a smile gracing his features, that he did know who it was. ”Flavio!” he greeted loudly, as he flew next to him, ”What brings ye oot here?” the slytherin could imagine that his ravenclaw friend was also out to practice on the pitch, maybe they could practice together. Despite what everyone said about it, Rory still considered Flavio to be his closest friends, he liked him a lot, and he hd stopped using him for homework, so Rory was sure that Flavio would like him more now and stop listening to absurd whisperings of the pesky hufflepuffs.

The stress of attending classes, completing homework on time, and the upcoming exams weighed heavily on Flavio's shoulders. By the time he had finished attending his classes that day he was at his breaking point and entirely sick of spending all his time indoors, wanting nothing more than to be outside, doing something he wanted to do rather than finishing schoolwork in a classroom or the library. Flavio originally chose to go to the lake front to spend the time with the ducks, but when he left his class he decided he wanted to fly instead. This then lead Flavio to the quidditch pitch with his broom in one hand and his bag full of quidditch gear in the other, ready to fly in the air and practice for the first time since his last quidditch game. He walked through the changing rooms, placing his bag down on one of the benches, then walked out to the pitch to see if anyone else was flying around. He looked to the air, spotted someone already practicing, and was about to call out to ask if they minded sharing the pitch when the person flew lower and greeted him.

Flavio did not expect that the other person flying that day was Rory. But he when he realized who had called his name, he was happy to have a run in with the other boy, wanting to catch up on the happenings of the semester and knowing that if they practiced together it would be good for the both of them. "Hey!" He greeted, smiling at his friend. "I am here to practice, classes have been stressful and it will be nice to be outside for a change." He then explained, before looking down to the broom in his hand and then back to Rory. "Did you want to practice together? I need to go and change first, but I will be out in a second and we could take turns being the keeper." Flavio smiled at his friend, wondering if he would accept the invitation. He hoped Rory wanted to practice with him, as having someone to talk to and something other than school to focus on would be the perfect way for him to relax and feel like his normal self for the first time in weeks.

Rory flashed a smile at his friend, though given that Rory had been here for a while, he didn't particularly want to stick around on the field he had gown rather bored of it. He'd done his practicing and his attention now needed to be any where else but on this pitch. He did however want to spend the time with Flavio, since everyone seemed to think he wasn't a good friend to the other boy he hardly wanted to tell him to do something else, that would just confirm it, and despite his constant fights with Tristan he was still doing and being better. All of his school work was now his own work, and he'd broken up with Anabelle because he'd grown bored of her, rather than just keeping her around because it was useful to have her there.

However, that didn't stop him from wanting things and really just expecting to get them when he needed them. The boy shrugged, "Aye yeah," he replied half heartedly, "Ah wis just finishin' up," the teen told him, "But since ye arenae changed we could go hang oot by the lake or somethin'" the boy suggested really not interested in staying on the field, "We can just chill oot or somethin', dinnae need tae practice any more, yer already great," he continued hoping this would sway the other boy. He placed his hands on the other boy's shoulders and trying to be as encouraging as he could towards whatever other plans that he had in his mind, plans that didn't involve playing quidditch with Flavio when he had just done all the practice he really wanted to do. Rory figured he'd just get bored and let Flavio score all he wanted which wouldn't be productive, de-stressing was good to do with quidditch and flying but they could do literally anything else outside, "Am sure there are plent' birds tae look at"
