'Tis that time of year when magazines release their ultimate album lists for the year. So I thought I'd compile my own for fun or whatever. Mine is pretty standard (at least according to the other ones I've seen), but I'm interested in seeing what HNZers think! So post your own lists and comment on others, jah?

My Top Ten Albums of 2010
These are not necessarily in order of how much I enjoyed them, they're mostly in order of their overall.. goodness/quality/epicness/critical success/reception. Though there is some personal opinion thrown in.
10 Teen Dream - Beach House

8 Crazy for You - Best Coast
7 Brothers - The Black Keys
6 All Delighted People EP - Sufjan Stevens
5 The ArchAndroid - Janelle Monae

You don't have to do this, I just had a lot of good albums leftover that I couldn't order.

According to iTunes, my favourite albums from 2010 were:
1. Real Life (Lincoln Brewster)
2. Light Up the Sky (The Afters)
3. Wide Open Spaces (FFH)
4. Ocean (Bebo Norman)
5. And If Our God Is for Us... Deluxe Edition (Chris Tomlin)
6. No Far Away (Chris August)
7. The Saving One (Starfield)
8. Let Love Win (The Museum)
9. Summer Happiness (David Crowder Band)
10. The Light Meets the Dark (Tenth Avenue North)

Unfortunately, this list actually only counts my favourites from the last 3 or 4 months since getting this laptop. (As all my playcounts reset)
If this included the whole year, I'm fairly confident that The Saving One and The Light Meets the Dark would be higher up on the list.
I didn't include any singles that were released throughout the year which would be in my top ten in the top ten, either - because one song totally isn't an album.

I don't suspect that many people would have heard of many of those.
They're all Christian artists.
(For the sake of comparison, exactly 75% of my iTunes is Christian music (so 25% is secular. ).)

Lol ok, well its kinda embarassing I listen to alot of Older music aswell, like ACDC Elvis and ABBA, Beatles to sometimes. Lol Anyway.

I was like "Is this supposed to be music we liked that was released in 2010... or just any music we listened to in 2010...?"
But I decided not to make a fuss. Because more participation is needed, anyway.
