Maddox had enjoyed the extra practise for Quidditch. Even if he didn't get on the team, he would always like the sport. He'd not been hugely into sport before he'd joined at Hogwarts but flying through the air had a certain appeal to it, not to mention that it required a strong amount of observation and coordination to be able to keep up with everything going on. He put down his broom and beater's bat on the grass, not yet wanting to go back up to the castle with the other students. For all he knew, he would wait until the others had left and then practise his flying techniques again himself before he got to the tryouts. He'd never played for a team before but who knew, maybe it would be something he would good at. He took a seat on the benches, wondering if he could convince Leia to come along to the tryouts with him, although he didn't get the feeling that it would be her sort of thing. The broom he was flying on was rough and wobbly, but he figured if he could come to master this, then he would be a champion when it came to flying on something that wasn't one of the basic school brooms. Maddox was waiting for the pitch to clear out, perhaps he would give some of the other positions a go too, see what his aim was like in the hoops, just to be sure.

Lois was glad to have some free time to hang out her with Lucy, she was honestly a bit nervous about how her sister was holding up being apart from her after spending nearly everyday together for the last ten years. Quidditch hadn't started yet so that left the pitch relatively empty for the majority of the day. This suited Lois who had yet to find a Gym in the entire Castle. "Seriously, with all the food they try and feed everyone I'm surprised people aren't all the size of blimps" Lois said as she and Lucy stepped out from the outside. They had agreed to come here first so Lois could run and get some exercise and then later they would sneak into the forest so Lucy could find some magical creatures to add to her collection.

She had tried to convince Lucy to sit and wait for her in the stands but her older sister didn't want none of it. Noticing a boy practicing his flying Lois couldn't help but smirk.
"Shame we have to actually learn how to do that, Mum doesn't even fly" Lois added as her sister simply nodded. They had ignored Lenora for the most part which was surprisingly easy as their younger sister was normally up their butts all the time. They saw him land towards the spot where Lucy had wanted to set up her collection and play which made Lois feel a bit nervous. "You going to be okay Lucy?" Lois asked as her sister simply nodded. Lois didn't want to take any chances as she looked at the boy, "Mess with her and you get a fist to the face got it?" she said defensively to him. It was best to get these things out in the open so nobody was surprised later when they were on the ground bleeding.

Maddox hadn't been sat for too long, but the most of the students had already cleared out probably keen to get lunch or something. Food seemed to be an easy way of convincing a lot of kids to do things in this school, and the Slytherin could have sworn that if the professors offered food instead of house points, there would be much better performing players at the school. He turned his head when he saw a girl approaching him, but what he heard caught him by surprise and a smile appeared on his face. Did he look like he was the one messing with that girl? She was the one headed towards him not the other way round. Merlin some people around here always jumped to the most stupid conclusions. "Does that usually work as an introduction?" he asked, not budging from his spot on the bench but just watching them instead. Maddox didn't want to start any arguments or fights, they were pointless and time wasting and didn't get you anywhere, although he didn't understand why these girls were suddenly all up in his space. "Besides, mess with me and my brothers will come after you," he added in for good measure, just in case. There was a reason he had three fictional brothers, for times like this when he wanted to appear stronger than he really was.

Lucille ignored the other two and simply opened her bag and pulled out a stuffed cat, two canaries, and a squirrel from her collection and began to set them up on the bench. She wanted to pretend that the cat was hunting down the other three which she figured would be fun and keep her entertained as Lois ran around the pitch. She wondered why the boy was really there or why he would comment to Lois if he really wasn't going to be bothering her. He could have simply ignored them as she was choosing to do since the conversation really didn't matter to her in the slightest. She was only here to support Lois after all and wasn't really interested in meeting new friends that were human. All she had to do was wait and then Lois would be be a good look out while she went into the forest to hunt for new things to add to her collection.

"Works great at keeping Goobers in their place" Lois responded to the boy's comment. He added something about his brothers which caused Lois to simply shrug "Go get them then, I could use the exercise". It had been a while since she'd had a good scuffle, she would never dream of fighting Lucy and Lenora was such a whimp there was no point in fighting her. If this boy thought he was going to intimidate her then he was going to be sorely mistaken. She noticed a look from Lucy at this comment and realized that perhaps she was going to far and actually egging the other boy on when there was no need. "Look, you can try to start something and I'll finish it or you can mind your business and not talk to her or me for that matter. We just want some peace and quiet" she said as a way of apologizing for her threat even though she wasn't very good. A part of her was itching for a good fight though she wasn't in the mood to get into trouble today either and knew it would only make Lucy mad.

Alec had come from the Quidditch session, not wanting to speak to anyone so much as make the most of the the time to get her skills up to scratch before the tryouts. She didn't want Lysander a beater partner, but she knew that it would be the best position for her if she were to play on the team. Of course she might not be able to help it if a few rogue bludgers ended up flying in his direction, and just guessed he'd had to be on top form from every angle. She had her broom over her shoulders, hands resting over the wood as she made her way back from practise, although when she spotted a student she didn't recognise taking out some random animals and laying them on the grass, it caused the third year to stop in her tracks. She barely heard the conversation between the other two nearby, her eyes fixed on the creatures instead. She knew that recycling was good, but she'd never seen real life taxidermy before. "What.. no niffler?" she joked, not that anyone she was speaking to would understand the reference. Still, it would have made her feel better. "Hey, you better not ruin this field," she glanced at the second girl who seemed to be getting ready to do something. "People gotta practise out here and then people like you are gonna just stomp all over it. Where's your broom?" she asked, although it was obvious she didn't have one.

Lucille was busy minding her own business when another voice was suddenly heard. It was an older looking girl who seemed to want to practice flying just as the boy did. She made a comment about Lucille's collection as Lucille simply stared at her and thought about it. A niffler would be an excellent addition to her collection, she'd seen them in a few stores but had never seen one in the wild. Her mother would never have wanted to buy one knowing what would end up happening to it. Lucille couldn't help but slowly turn her head towards the location of the forest even though she was unable to see it from within the pitch. Slowly she turned her head back to the older girl and stared directly in her eyes. "Soon" she replied dryly as she thought about how many there might actually be around these parts and how best to capture them. They liked shiny things so it should be relatively easy to set a trap for one.

Just as Lois was trying to apologies to one Goober, another one decided to pop up. It was annoying since all she had wanted to do was go for a run around the pitch but suddenly it became infested with Goobers. This one was more annoying than the first as she made a joke about Lucy's collection. Lois wasn't afraid though as she turned towards the other student and began popping her knuckles and making sure they were ready to collide with some teeth. She made a comment about walking on the field to which Lois responded "Yeah because grass is really important to a sport that's played in the air" she said sarcastically. It would be different if they actually had a place on the ground to run around but there wasn't since the magical world was all about that stupid spot on brooms.

She couldn't help but role her eyes at the question about a broomstick. First Years weren't allowed to have a broom at school not that she'd ever owned one in her life.
"Broke it when I whacked the last Goober over the head after they tried to pick a fight" Lois said defensively. She would never have done such a thing though since she enjoyed the feeling of punching someone with her own fists too much. She thought about leaving and looked at Lucy to try and indicate that they should probably leave before things got out of hand but her sister was already back to playing with her animals and that meant she wasn't going anywhere.

At being called a Goober, Majora smiled although he'd certainly been called worse that it didn't really effect him. Obviously this girl was just trying to protect her friend from him, not that he was even a threat. "If you were really protecting her, you wouldn't be leaving her here in the first place," he stated, turning his head to peer across the pitch, squinting a little in the sunlight. He had no intention of speaking to the silent girl on the floor as it was, although it had peaked his interest as to why he shouldn't be allowed to speak to her if she'd sat right next to him. He released a silent sigh when another student joined them, although she appeared to be able to get the girl on the floor to be able to say something. He'd never seen anyone quite like girl with the animals before, although her word was disconcerting and for the first time he was glad he didn't recognise this girl as being anyone in his own house. "What are you using them for?" he asked the first girl, the rule about not speaking to her completely disregarded when the need for information and his own curiousity got the better of him.

Alec was getting irritated with this girl already and she'd only been here a few minutes. She supposed all first year students were the same, she knew she had been too. It was like they were against the world and were constantly trying to prove themselves, a trait that they'd grow out of, apparently. "I wouldn't assume someone like you would understand," she said patronisingly, leaning her weight more to one leg. This girl clearly knew what to say to try and get people to back up, although Alec doubted she'd ever hit anyone in her life. Everyone was all talk but no these days which was incredibly disapointing. She frowned when the girl told her "soon". Soon what exactly? "If you think you're getting your hands on one, you've got to be kidding yourself," Alec joked. There were way too many things between this girl and the animals in the school, and even if there was another incident like the one last year, there was no way she'd be able to do anything with it without someone interviening first. "Look, I don't know what this is, but it's clearly not Quidditch, so how about you skidaddle," she flicked a hand towards the exit of the pitch, not willing to let two little first years get the better of her. She recognised the older boy from practise, but for all she thought he could well get out of here too. Practise was over.

Lucille thought about what the older girl was saying in regards to not being able to get her hands on a Niffler. She was curious as to why the girl believed such a thing. Was it because Lucille lacked magical training? was it or size that made the girl doubt her hunting and trapping skills? Did she simply believe that her own inabilities were somehow able to be applied to others around her? It didn't matter, the neighbors in Africa had been sure that Lucille wasn't going to be able to get their cat and yet here it was with her on the Quidditch field, perfectly preserved and ready to be loved just as others would be. Lois would help her get into the forest and from there she would be able to do the rest, it was only a matter of time and planning. The boy asked a question of her and it caught her by surprise since normally people left her alone. She stared at him and looked him in the eyes "Playing" she responded since that was all she could do while Lois exercised.

Lois had thought about calming down and backing off until the older boy and girl both made a comment towards Lucy. "Alright then, time to crack some Goober skulls" Lois said with a smile as she began walking up towards the girl ready to put a fist in her face. She was probably going to cost her house some points and maybe get a detention but it would be worth it to release some steam doing her favorite thing. Perhaps the girl would be stupid and try to use her broom to defend herself so Lois could break that along with her nose. She ignored the boy for the moment since an example of Lois's boxing skills might be good enough to put him in check. She was annoyed since this wasn't what she had planned to do but figured some people needed to be taught a lesson about who they were dealing with.

"No" came Lucy's voice from the side causing Lois to look her in the eye.

They had practically been together since the day they were born and therefore were actually able to have whole conversations without even saying a word when needed. Lois scrunched up her brow in frustration at what Lucy was telling her, she wanted to punch this girl more than anything at the moment but knew there was no point arguing.
"Fine!" she snapped at Lucy as she turned towards the other girl. "Look, I just want to go for a quick run along the sides of the pitch so the grass will be fine. If you really want to be an uber goober than how about you skidaddly and tattle to a Professor or Prefect or something but we aren't going anywhere" Lois said simply.

Maddox wasn't even moving as he watched the girl on the floor, who claimed to just be playing. So what if she had a weird hobby, there were weirder things out there. "Fair enough." he said simply, choosing not to be bothered by it. It wasn't like she was really doing anything to get in his way after all. Apparently this was enough however to set the girls friend off, although she turned to start on the older girl that had joined them instead of him, and he watched in anticipation to see whether the third year would retaliate. He used the time he had with them being distracted to turn his attention back to the floor girl for a moment, who was clearly was the one in charge here despite the mouth on the other girl. "What's your name?" he asked, assuming it was an easy one if she was always going to speak with single words.

Alec wasn't sure whether this little girl would have done anything once she'd crossed towards her, but she was the student here with enough skill behind her to have blocked anything coming her way. Thankfully though Alec didn't even need to move from her position when her sister told her no. Alec instead just laughed to herself, "I guess not," Really was she just going to do everything she was told? The younger girl didn't stop there though, telling her that she should have gotten a prefect or someone to help her if she wanted them to leave. "I don't think I need to do any of that. How about, instead, you just run along, hmm?" she smiled at the girl with fake enthusiasm. If this girl so badly wanted to be here to run track that she should just get on with it instead of pretending that she was going to fight them, just to be humiliated by her sister. "Or is your running as bad as your threats, and you're worried we might watch?" she said, pouting a little at the end and raising her eyebrows. Poor kid.

"Whatever GobQueen, bet you don't even know how to run without a broom up your butt" Lois snapped as she turned towards Lucy "You good? Good" she said not waiting for a reply from her sister. She turned and began running as fast as she could, she needed to blow off some energy before she lost control and pounded the other girl to a pulp. She was never as good at controlling herself like Lucille was though she knew from personal experience what happened when Lucille did flip out and the only word that could ever describe it was 'scary'. Lucille could be like a horror film on steroids when she really started showing her emotions and Lois had always assumed that was why she kept them in check. It probably helped that she had her unusual hobby to keep her occupied which was only one of the reasons why Lois was always willing to help out even if she personally didn't like what happened to the animals that ran into her. She ran around the edge of pitch staring at the Goobers she'd left, maybe they would be smart enough to not mess with Lucy, maybe not; what did Lois care if they met the bad side.

Lucille didn't like intervening when Lois wanted to do something, it was kinda like an unwritten rule between the two. They did however have plans and a deal was a deal, letting these other kids get to her was no excuse to break a promise. She wondered why Lois cared what they said or did? Why did it even matter what they thought about them? Why was the boy asking for her name? it was curious as she stared at him thinking that she'd rather just go back to playing with her animals. Though it wasn't often that people took an interest in her and a part of her enjoyed it. "Lucille and my sister is Lois" she said simply though there was definitely some amusement in her voice as she didn't bother to tell him about Lenora. She turned her attention away from the boy and towards the girl and simply stared at her for a moment. She wondered if the girl enjoyed being ugly on the outside? What purpose she had for even coming over to them when nobody had called out to her? Did she possess something that made her feel entitled? Lucille wondered if dissecting her would show her something that she did not yet understand about the older girl.
