Miriam -No one except those from her academy in Canada called her this, she just has it as her "English Name"

Mirim- (美琳) 미림 means Beautiful Jade or Gem
Park- Park or Bak (박), is the third-most-common surname in Korea, it is usually assumed to come from the Korean noun Bak (박), which means "gourd."

On the 29th of December, Miriam was born in Jeju Island in South Korea to a politician and his wife. They all moved to New Zealand after Aerin (her sister) received her hogwarts letter.

HISTORY
Mirim was born to a well-off family in Jeju-Island, her father is a small politician and her mother stayed mostly at home to take care of her and her sister. Growing up, Mirim was tasked to protect or watch over her older sister, but both siblings knew that Aerin wasn't in need of watching. So they stayed clear off each other in school. While Aerin was more of a loner due to her demeanor, Mirim was a loner due to her studies. Mirim spent most of her school life, studying and practising the piano, winning several prizes as a piano prodigy at a very young age. She was a very studious girl, wanting attention and recognition for her good grades and awards that she had won in school, but she never got that much from her parents.
After hanging out with her sister's friends one day (she was meant to be "babysitting" Aerin). Mirim realised that most of her good and great deeds as a model student had gone barely noticed by her parents and that she had much more fun hanging out with her sister's friends, causing havoc around the town.. Mirim's good grades and academic attitude quickly disappeared as she started to act out and play around in school. And ironically, Mirim did get more attention from her parents (though it was negative). She started hanging out more with her older sister's friends and at her uncle's ranch.
Soon, her older sister's letter arrived, from Hogwarts New Zealand. She was very angry at first. She hated how they moved without a drop of a beat just because Aerin received a letter from Hogwarts. Mirim had her first of big arguments with her parents due to that, along with a small heart-to-heart with Aerin. The Park Family ended up moving to New Zealand anyway, though Mirim was begrudging. But her attitude about New Zealand disappeared quickly. She found the country beautiful, and soon was excited to go to Hogwarts, but her attitude and demeanor didn’t change towards her parents.
Mirim’s father sacrificed his political position in Korea to move to New Zealand. He is currently applying to a law firm, while Mirim’s mother is currently applying to work at an magical apothecary/bakery in Waiheke Island.
