The only reason Ari was even going to the Halloween Feast was just to make sure the kids were having fun. It wasn't something she'd ever celebrated back home and so she didn't really feel the need to dress up for it, it felt like it was more of a kids thing than anything she really wanted to get involved in and so she was happy just to, as they say "chaperone" the event. She mostly just wore dark robes so she wouldn't stand out too much, and kept to the fringes as she went. She admired the effort she could see some of the kids at put in, and then some of the kids seemed to have given up half way through the costuming process as she looked at a couple who'd simply stuck animal ears on their heads and been done with it. It was kind of sweet that they all had different levels of comfort to their enjoyment. Grinning at the display, she walked over to the food and drinks table and lifted one of the drinks to her lips, sipping it slowly as she mostly lurked in the corner, there for support if anyone needed it, but not getting involved in the fun and entertainment - putting a bunch of magical kids in a room, as she had learned recently, could lead to some silly behaviour, so mostly she just wanted to be there to prevent it.

Adorah loved supervising dances the older she got. It felt awkward at first, but as she could see more and more distance between herself and the students, especially the older ones, the former Ravenclaw preferred meandering around the room. She hadn't really had time to come up with a good costume and opted for a long black dress with three-quarter sleeves, embracing a dark purple lipgloss. She noticed one of the newer professors in the corner, someone who looked like she might be closer to her age. However, Adorah didn't recognize her from school. With all the students she had, it was difficult to get to know the other professors. She walked over towards the woman. "You're the new Runes professor, right?" she asked.

Attending the Halloween Feast as a professor, Conan decided, was the weirdest experience to date. And he'd already found a lot of experiences weird as a professor who was once a student in this castle. He'd been fluctuating between going to chaperone and not for the last week, mostly because he wondered if it would be weird for his kids to see him at a party. It was probably already weird enough for them that he worked where they went to school. Except for Eli, he didn't seem to mind so much. And so, he'd just come in casual wear and robes and sulked off into a corner, trying to avoid being seen by his kids while keeping an eye out for the other students. He knew from personal experience how much shenanigans students could get away with at an event like this so he probably should do a bit of the chaperoning. He had just finished a circuit of the Hall when he noticed two of his colleagues nearby and decided that he should probably go say hi. "Evening professors," he said with a grin.
