Digging through the selection of board games laying around the student lounge, Sydney was still nursing a bruise from where the knight from the wizard chess set had head-butted her. It had apparently taken offense to something she'd said while she was setting up the board, the nerve.Glaring at the chess set where it was sitting innocently nearby, she thought bitterly that she would have been better off bringing her own set to school, but it must have slipped her mind while packing. Now all she had to play with were the mutinous school set. Though it wasn't like she could find anyone worth her time playing here anyone. So far, school had been underwhelming, her peers boring, and frankly Sydney was running out of interesting things to do. Unearthing a box of checkers, she peaked into the box curiously. She'd heard about biting game pieces before and she wouldn't put it past some of the louts around the school to set up a trap or something like that for any poor soul foolish enough to actually want to play something interesting during their spare time. When none of the checkers immediately seemed hostile, she considered setting up the board, wondering if she could still have a stimulating game against herself.
