Adorah had probably spent too much time primping her hair and makeup. While she enjoyed fashion to an extent, mostly due to Juniper, she was never one to spend more than 15-20 minutes getting ready in the morning. But the idea of attending the Yule Ball with Aisa had the Ravenclaw wanting to make sure everything was perfect. Sure, they had gone to the Valentine's Day Dance together, but the ball was different. It was bigger and more of a tradition throughout their world.

Her dress choice wasn't flashy, but the fact that it touched the floor made her feel more elegant than the frock let on. She had pulled her hair up in a simple bun and was surprised how much older she felt. It didn't feel possible that she was almost sixteen, but here she was, in her OWL year and going to a public event with a girl she liked a lot. Pushing aside her thoughts of what she hoped would happen that evening, Adorah made her way into the great hall and wondered around to look for her date. She knew the girl had to take pictures of things as always and wondered if she had gotten any good shots. Noticing the girl about ten feet away from her, she snuck up from behind and tapped her on the shoulder. "Guess who?" she said gently.

Aisa had always attended balls and dances at Hogwarts purely to take photos. But ever since she started going with Adorah, the events had become a lot more fun. She wasn't sure if they were actually dating or not, they had never talked about it that specifically. But they had gone to the dancing lessons together, which felt like a thing couples did together. But Aisa didn't know if it was the right time to ask Adorah if they were official. What if the other girl already thought they were? That would be mortifying. It would be even worse if she didn't want to. Those two options kept Aisa quiet for now, uncertain baout her next step. Aisa had arrived at the dance a bit early to take some photos. The more she could take now, the less she had to work when Adorah was here. She took a few nice shots of the decorations, the golden baubles especially beautiful in the candlelight. She also made a few shots of the crowd, the excitement was almost palpable in the air. Aisa turned around as someone tapped her shoulder, smiling at the familiar voice. She lowered her camera. "Hey." She said, taking in the sight of her. "You look beautiful." She said, taking a step back to admire her dress fully.

Adorah felt a weird energy about tonight. She wasn't sure what it was, but it just felt a little more magical than the usual dances. And that was amplified once she came face to face with her date. Adorah tilted her head a little as she took in Aisa. "You look stunning," she replied and unconciously reached out to touch the girl's hair. Once she realized what she had done, she quickly pulled her hand back and scratched the back of her neck. They had never really talked about the whole dating thing other than the fact that they would keep going on dates. Adorah had never been one to express her feelings well, as she was reminding herself in trying to write letters to Nadia. She wished it just came easier to her and then she could tell Aisa how she really felt. "Have you taken a lot of pictures so far?" she asked curiously, knowing it was part of the deal for the evening.

Aisa smiled as Adorah complimented her in turn, and as she reached up to touch her hair, she held her breath for a moment. Adorah pulled her hand back, and Aisa hesitated before speaking. "That's okay." She said softly. "I worked hard on my hair, glad you appreciate it." She said, hoping to lighten the mood a bit with a joke. Then Aisa reached out to take Adorah's hand in her own, squeezing it for a moment before letting go. "I took a few." She admitted. "As many as I can so I don't have to take pictures the whole time when we we're trying to enjoy ourselves."

Adorah gave a small laugh as Aisa seemed to not be bothered by her odd behhavior. Her hair was especially beautiful tonight, and it felt soft on her fingertips. Surprised by Aisa taking her hand, she couldn't help but smile at her date and looked at the ground for a moment. She heard the music change to a slow song and looked back up at the Gryffindor. "Do you have time to take a break for a quick dance?" she asked curiously, hoping they might get a few dances in this evening.

Aisa was encouraged by Adorah not reacting badly to her holding her hand, which almost gave her enough courage to try it again. But maybe she should wait a few more moments, so it wouldn't be weird. Aisa wondered what to do now, but then Adorah gave a suggestion, which made Aisa blush a little. The slow music made sure they would be dancing together, properly. Like how they had practiced. "Sure." She said with a smile. "I can take a break." Truth be told, photos for Accio were far from her mind. She hoped some other Accio members didn't have dates and had some more free time on their hands to make up for it. Aisa led Adorah to the dance floor, smiling shyly as she looked at her. "Do you want to lead?"

Adorah was glad Aisa had agreed to move onto the dance floor and nervously followed her date. When they found a spot, Adorah gave her a nod. It seemed fair she should be the one to lead since Aisa had done it previously. She cautiously placed her hand on the small of Aisa's back and held out her other while starting to move in the squarish way they were taught. She wasn't very good at leading, but she hoped Aisa didn't mind. "I'm really glad we were able to go to another dance together. It's a lot more fun with you," sy.he added, hoping Aisa felt the same way.
