Ainsley's move into teaching was a struggle for the first few years but she was able to develop a new routine to better manage her autism, without the dramatic highs and lows of Ollivanders. In her spare time she pursued academic work in experimental charms, and while she never achieved her life's goal of discovering the source of magic, she made several great strides in her research, moving the subject forward for new generations of researchers, including those she trained herself.
