Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y50 S1

Susie was having a hard time getting to the bludgers before Marley. She flew off down the pitch in search of another one.

Sofi was jolted out of a daydream by a bludger.

Despite the pain, Jonah threw the quaffle straight through the goal

Despite keeping an eye out, Jono was not ready when their captain hit one towards him. His knee jerk reaction was to try and catch it, which was a mistake, knocking the air out of him. It didn't not feel like getting tackled. By someone very small and very heavy maybe. Jono wheezed, gripping his broom trying to get his breath back before he continued moving.

Sofi returned to her daydream

Nox didn't manage to hit anything, though he still felt bad for hitting Jonah.

Jono was still rubbing the ache in his chest away when something shot past his ear. Something much smaller than a bludger. Heart rate kicking up, Jono moved after it, throwing his body forward to pick up speed. The idea of taking his hand off his broom while going this fast was harrowing and Jono surged forward again, corralling the snitch as close to his body as he could before swinging an arm forward, pinning it to his chest. Slowing down, heart still hammering, Jono looked down blanking at the snitch in his hand for a moment before holding it up sheepishly. Maybe he could actually do this.

Spotting a bludger en route to one of her teammates, Susie dived for it and smacked it away. Ow - how'd she hurt her own shoulder? She rubbed it, looking around. At least the seekers were doing well.

Jono was pleased enough about the snitch catch that he barely even minded the lingering ache from the bludger, letting the snitch loose and easing his broom around the pitch for a quick break.

Sofi had to get her head back in the game after an early catch. She tightened her grip on her broom and looked for the snitch.

Jonah grabbed the quaffle again

Spotting a bludger nearby, Susie pushed down on her broom and swung. There was a satisfying crack as her bat connected with it, sending it flying toward @Marley Owens-Lee. Oops. Maybe hitting bludgers at the captain wasn't smart.

Sofi realised the younger seeker had caught the snitch and tried following it when it was released.

Jono ducked out of the way of a passing bludger, content he didn't need a reminder of how it felt to run into one. He kept an eye on Sofi, especially when it seemed like she was locking in on her own snitch hunt.

Jonah had been about to throw the quaffle but had move wrong, triggering the pain up his side and causing him to miss his throw entirely

Being seeker was kind of perfect, Jono decided. He got to be apart of the team but didn't really need to worry about anyone else while he was playing. Sure, he needed to watch the beaters and the other seeker, but it wasn't like he had to talk to anyone or coordinate a pass or anything. It would almost be peaceful if he didn't know how many points catching the snitch was worth.

Doyle watched as Jonah grabbed the quaffle and headed towards the hoops but was proud of himself as he was able to block the shot before throwing it back into the game.

Jono thought he might have seen something moving near the South side of the pitch shooting forward only to have completely lost track of it. How did people spot something so small when the pitch was so big?

Doyle kept his eye's peeled for the next chaser that would come his way.

Nox didn't hit anything.

jonah grabbed the quaffle and took it for a spin

Sofi sped up, following the direction she thought the snitch had gone in.

Henri had never really actually properly played and so he was a little nervous about doing so, he hung back more than he likely should, but he was gaining in confidence and flew in next to the older chaser who seemed to have the most possession of the quaffle.

Callie guarded the hoops.

He grit his teeth as he threw the quaffle only to be blocked by the keeper
