Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y50 S1

marley did not hit a bludger

Jonah caught the quaffle and took it for a spin

Jono watched Sofi put on a burst of speed, wondering if he should actually be paying more attention to her than just aimlessly flying till he saw something. Then he saw her stop and figured maybe not. Until he saw her snag the snitch effortlessly out of the air right after. Right. So paying attention to the other seeker was definitely a good idea. If only so Jono could work out how she did that.

Jonah frowned as he missed his shot again. He needs to do better it seems

Sofi tried reaching out and swiping for the snitch again. This time she missed.

Henri was finally able to grab the quaffle and began racing towards the hoops.

Callie kept guarding the hoops.

Sofi didn't catch anything

marley did not hit a bludger

Jonah stole the quaffle and zoomed towards the hoops but failed to score, his side still bothering him

Henri took back the quaffle when it was tossed back out, beginning to fly towards the other hoop.

Callie tossed the quaffle back out into play after someone had tried to score.

Jono saw Sofi make a grab for the snitch she'd just released, shooting forward to let her more or less chase it right into him so he could snatch it out of the air before she did. "Uh. Thanks," he said sheepishly, considering it kinda seemed like she'd help with that one, before letting it go again quickly.

Sofi slowed her broom, cheeks puffing out as she wondered if she'd been baited into giving away her catch. “Um...you’re welcome?” she said hesitantly.

Henri quickly approached the hoops and tossed the quaffle but it went completely wide.

Callie guarded the hoops.

Jonah grabbed the quaffle and flew around

Jono gave a stilted nod, pulling away on his broom and giving Sofi and the snitch some space. Once again, he was glad he didn't have another team mate to have to coordinate with while playing seeker.

Jonah yelped as he threw the quaffle and extended his injured side, unsurprisingly missing his shot.

Jono was quick to turn his broom around, deciding to put a little more space between him and the other players. He jerked to a stop as he nearly ran into the snitch again, quickly righting his course and shooting after it. It was a short chase, Jono was already starting to feel a little better about flying one handed and it was close enough that he only needed to swoop forward and cut the snitch off before he'd clasped it in its hand again, little wings beating insistently against his fingers.

Jonah took the quaffle again

Jono decided to drop closer to the ground, really giving the snitch a break before he and Sofi pursued it again. Plus, Quidditch was more tiring than he'd thought, so it was nice to take a breather a little closer to Earth.

Maybe he needed a break from practice, because he missed his shot again

Jono tried to stretch out his legs, not used to sitting on a broom for this long. The muscle aches were definitely not a part of playing sports that he missed.

Who needs breaks anyway? Jonah grabbed the quaffle again.
