Jono watched Sofi put on a burst of speed, wondering if he should actually be paying more attention to her than just aimlessly flying till he saw something. Then he saw her stop and figured maybe not. Until he saw her snag the snitch effortlessly out of the air right after. Right. So paying attention to the other seeker was definitely a good idea. If only so Jono could work out how she did that.
Jono saw Sofi make a grab for the snitch she'd just released, shooting forward to let her more or less chase it right into him so he could snatch it out of the air before she did. "Uh. Thanks," he said sheepishly, considering it kinda seemed like she'd help with that one, before letting it go again quickly.
Jono gave a stilted nod, pulling away on his broom and giving Sofi and the snitch some space. Once again, he was glad he didn't have another team mate to have to coordinate with while playing seeker.
Jono was quick to turn his broom around, deciding to put a little more space between him and the other players. He jerked to a stop as he nearly ran into the snitch again, quickly righting his course and shooting after it. It was a short chase, Jono was already starting to feel a little better about flying one handed and it was close enough that he only needed to swoop forward and cut the snitch off before he'd clasped it in its hand again, little wings beating insistently against his fingers.
Jono decided to drop closer to the ground, really giving the snitch a break before he and Sofi pursued it again. Plus, Quidditch was more tiring than he'd thought, so it was nice to take a breather a little closer to Earth.
Jono tried to stretch out his legs, not used to sitting on a broom for this long. The muscle aches were definitely not a part of playing sports that he missed.
