The welcome thread area is OOC (Out of character) so I'm Nick, and you can call me that in any other OOC areas of the site.
I would recommend you read over this thread which explains the sorting process etc. as it is possible for your character to be transferred to Hogwarts in their sixth year once Y7 begins, but you'd have to apply for it and they're still sorted by an Admin, you don't get to choose their house.
