Hi.

I've recently come upon HNZ, looked around it for a while, and so I decided to join. The board is really great! I'm speechless. Though, I think there are too many rules to remember and catch up with, spread all over the board. Only that's a little confusing, I think.

So, I'm trying to catch up with everything around here now, to see how everything around here works and so on...

Something about me now, then... I'm a university student of languages and linguistics, also quite involved with studies of literature and anthropology as well. I live in Europe, and English is not my native language, so I might make some mistakes sometimes, but that shouldn't happen. If it does, please forgive me, I apologize in advance. If I mistake, feel free to correct me, please.

Hi there Odorus! Welcome to HNZ, I'm very glad you decided to join the board!
I wasn't very creative when I joined HNZ - so the first name of my character also happens to be my first name. So you can call me Nick - that's what I prefer. I live in Canada - and I only have English in my arsenal of languages. I speak a little bit of French (being Canadian) and understand some Spanish (in grade ten I ditched French and took Spanish ). I think that's enough about me, though.

I know that the rules are plentiful - but really most of them are common sense:
1) Behave yourself
2) Don't advertise
3) Be considerate
4) Your character isn't a super hero, or Harry Potter, or a super-special-character(Mary Sue). If you want a big plot to happen, or to have your character have special powers/abilities/races just apply.

Those are basically the four rules. Of course, we have to be more specific and expand on them - but if you stick to those four you're good to go!

Welcome to HNZ, Odorus! I'm glad that you've decided to stick around. The site indeed is great, that's why some of us are still around after two years! Don't worry too much about the rules, they will come to you in time. They're not too hard to follow.

For English not being your native language, you're doing a really awesome job with writing it. I wouldn't even have known if you hadn't mentioned it! It's so cool that you're studying languages... and Anthropology too! I'm taking that class this semester, and I really like it so far. I've been learning Spanish for three years but am nowhere near fluent.

And lucky for you, sorting isn't too far off(If you're aiming to be a student of course.) Hope to see you around and rping! Feel free to call me Amanda, though if Estrella is easier, that's okay too.

Oh, thanks. Well, I had been learning English for ten years, six in the primary school and four in the gymnasium! I also speak Russian as well, and now at the faculty, I'm dealing with some more "exotic" languages, to say so, like Albanian or Slovene instead.

I don't have trouble understanding any European language actually, apart from Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian or Basque, as that is what I do...
