Bruin was surprised by Kiera's sudden change of direction, but after all this time he wondered why anything Kiera did on the pitch surprised him. She was definitely the daredevil of the team, routinely drawing on her gymnastics background to flip around like one of the flying monkeys from the old muggle movie, The Wizard of Oz.

Bruin spun himself around quickly and headed south as well. Sakura was about to get a surprise, a big one courtesy of Hogwarts New Zealand.

"Let's go Kat. I think Kiera needs you for this one!" He yelled as he streaked (fully clothed, of course) southward.

Kat watched as the game began and then quickly kicked off on her broom. Kiera had caught the quaffle Bruin had just threw at her and Kat grinned like a goof. "I'm ready if you guys are!" Kat replied to Kiera as she followed after her, ready for Kiera to make any move. When Bruin yelled after her, Kat yelled back, "I'm on it Captain!"

Hilary had earlier realized that one of the things she was best at was confusing and getting in the way. She heard what play the chasers were trying and seeing that they were heading for her keeper's hoops hoped to help her out. She flew downwards and zagged across the pitch to be just below Bruin. As she had snuck there behind Bruin's back she hoped to catch him with surprise "Lion ducks Grizzly in the Snake's Belly" she shouted wondering if she could throw him off enough so that Sak wouldn't have to deal with three on one.... because although she was from a different country they were now a team.

Sakura watched as first the play seemed to be heading in one direction, always ready for any eventuality she was not therefore overly surprised when it was redirected to the South end of the pitch. Saks was in the zone and she knew it, three chasers against one keeper and not a beater insight to whack any of them. How come none of the team she was on used animal code like the chasers did?

It was then she heard Hilary, the Southie Eagles seeker shout some at Bruin. Laughing momentarily she was grateful, sans a beater it was good to see the seeker trying to get some of the chasers distracted. It wasn't really going to help much but at least she had tried. Well she wasn't the best Keeper at Hoggies for nothing. If they wanted to see what a Gryffindor from the other hemisphere could do, they were going to get an eye full then.

Her broom was perfectly balanced, her eyes darted Kiera who had the quaffle in the South West zone, to Kat who was in the same zone as her to Bruin who had moved infinitely closer into the South South East zone. Total onslaught, complete offensive attack on her position. Well she mightened know any particular animal codes but she hadn't been asked to train with the minor league Puddlemere United team this coming summer if she wasn't good enough.

Kiera grinned as Kat and Bruin got into postition. She was sure that Sakura was not a newbie Keeper. Kiera couldnt help the mischevious look that became on her face. She rose suddenly in the air and dropped the Quaffle. It looked like an accident. Kiera lurched forward with sudden speed.

[ok please don't take offense but am slightly confused. Kiera ended her last play in SW but managed to start or continue her new play in NW moving two positions on grid to SSW, it doesn't say you can do that in your rules. Was this just a typo?:blink: ]

James continued to hover, no sign of the snitch visible he manuevered his broom and flew across the pitch to see if the view were any better from here.

Hilary looked over to the other Gryffindors on the pitch and saw that they were all quite on their top game today. Really hoping that Kat remembered what to do next in the play she tried to keep her eyes half on them and on the other side she was looking out for the snitch.

Cyndi was tired of watching the bludger on her side of the pitch. She directed her broom toward it and smacked it NE, hoping it wouldn't go after James or Andy. Cyndi then decided to follow it just in case...

Bruin noticed Hilary making a half-hearted attempt to disrupt their play and decided that Kat and Kiera could handle the rest of the play themselves. He spun off in Hilary's direction, pulled up along side of her and shot his left hand out in front of her face.

"Try and disrupt our play, eh? Well, here's a Grizzly Paw for you!!!" He yelled with a laugh before pulling up and turning around to see the rest of the play at the South Hoops unfold.

Kat followed closely to Kiera, expecting what was coming next. Sure enough, Kiera dropped the quaffle and Kat leaned forward to gain a little speed. In one swift swoop she had the quaffle in her possession and tucked it tightly under her arm. Kat pushed her Streak to the limit as far as speed went to catch up to where Kiera was. "Hey foxy lady!" she yelled out after her friend as she launched the quaffle as hard as she could, making sure that it would get to Kiera.

Action: Giving the quaffle back to Kiera...at least I hope she gets it :oy:

Having turned her attention slightly from Bruin she was a little surprised when suddenly she saw a large hand infront of her eyes. "AH!!" she screamed out taking one arm off of her broom to grab the muscular forearm of her captain to pull his hand away for her face. Once he turned she had one more say in this bugging. She pulled her hairtie off her ponytail quickly. With her hair blowing around in the wind she turned quickly to face Bruin again sort of whipping him in the face with her hair. She called out "LION'S MANE!" she turned and stuck her tongue out at him before zooming away.

Andromeda kept as focused as she could on the play that was now taking place near the other end of the pitch. She saw as Cyndi hit the bludger more out of boredom than anything but it came down the north end. Andromeda gave a quizzical look, shouldn't she have tried to hit one of the chasers, any one of them?
She hoped it didn't get any closer to her and decided to focus on the bludger now instead of the game.

Cyndi swore under her breath as the bludger attempted to choose a new target- Andy. Cyndi steered her broom behind it and gave it a big whack toward where Hilary was. She was already distracted by Bruin and some bludger action would surely distract her some more. She hoped it would get away from Andy, but she didn't want to go after the chasers yet, since they were trying to score on Sakura.

Everything on the pitch seemed to change so quickly, Bruin had been distracted by Hilary after all and had flown off the deal with this problem. While the other two chasers were gaining speed and getting closer. Kiera had dropped the quaffle to Katalina before flying quickly towards her but just when Sakura was convinced Katalina would make her own play with the quaffle she almost instantaneously passed it back to Kiera. Would the other girl catch it or had they both been moving too swiftly?

Sakura could only wait and see what the outcome of this swift yet really good offensive play was. The final outcome she knew was the hope of getting the quaffle past her. Smiling inside yet deadly serious outside, Sakura waited with bated breath for the girls to clear the scoring zone.

Hilary had still been glancing over at her captain when suddenly somewhere behind her she heard the faint 'thunk' of a beater's bat hitting the bludger. She casually glanced behind her to see who the unlucky player would be and saw that it would be.... HER. It was too close for her to fly around and so without even really thinking she rolled on her broom and managed to dodge it. Pulling her hair back out of her face she returned to her searching for the snitch.

Kiera grinned at Kat. She swiftly and smoothly caught the Quaffle out of the air. This play seemed to be going really well. Kiera insantinously threw the Quaffle towards the far left goal. The Quaffle went hurling through the air. She might be a tiny girl but she was full of power and strenght from her Gymnastics background. Kiera bit her lip and waited anxiously to see what the outcome would be.

Sakura watched as Kiera flew closer still the quaffle held tightly after her superb catch. Any moment now the ball would be shot forward as if on a coiled spring. She knew to wait for the second it left the Chasers hand and as it did she calculated the direction it would go. It could only go in. Kiera had thrown it as far from Sakura as she possibly could get it. It was a powerful throw, a great throw but Sakura rolled with the velocity of a bird of a prey. Cutting it short mid way through her roll and zipping her broom forward she caught the quaffle before it could meet its target.

Sakura smiled wanting to punch the air as she normally would but thought it best to refrain this time around. Though she couldn't help but have a smile play on her face all the same. Circling the hoops she called to the chasers for a heads up and then tossed the quaffle back to Kiera who was the nearest chaser to her.

"Nicely played" she called to her.

Hilary had seen the play done by the chasers and at the moment that it would be thrown to score she glanced up. She saw Sakura make an awesome save and she smiled. It really was a nice addition to their team to have these other players around. She flew across the field turning her attention back to doing her part and finding the snitch.

Kiera caught the Quaffle she was thrown back. She was stunned. Most people could not stop her shots yet alone one like that last shot. Kiera usually tricked others with her wild flying tricks. Kiera looked at Kat and shrugged before tossing her the Quaffle to start a new play.

Cyndi watched as the Hilary dodged the bludger. A couple of seconds later, Cyndi took her eyes off the bludger long enough to watch Sakura make an really great save. She was glad that Sakura and James had decided to practice with them.

Andromeda was delighted when Cyndi swiftly caught up with the bludger and whacked it out of her direction.
"Thanks Cyndi, you're a life saver" she smiled turning her head just in time to see Kiera and Kat perform the Fox Sneak 52. She was on tender hooks, waiting to see what Sakura would do with this. It was doubtful that she would be able to save it, Kiera had one powerful throw and was one awesome chaser.

She was therefore rendered speechless when Sakura did a roll before flying at some speed to block the quaffle. Andromeda nearly lost her balance on her broom. That had been some save and yet from the position she was in, it looked like Sakura had taken it in her stride.
'Someday that's going to be me" with that thought in mind Andromeda cheered as the ball got tossed back to Kiera.

Kat caught the quaffle that Kiera had just tossed to her and waited to see what the next play would be. All of a sudden Kat felt a wave of nausea wash over her. She got all sweaty and clammy, then she started to feel a bit dizzy. If she was being perfectly honest with herself then she knew she should have gone to see a nurse a few days ago when she started feeling bad, but she put it off thinking it must have just been a cold or something. "Here Kiera." she said as she flew over close to her friend and handed her the quaffle back. "I'm not feeling so good all of a sudden. Sorry guys." she added apologetically to everyone else. The dizziness was getting worse so she flew down to the ground, gained some balance and hurried as quickly as possible up to the castle to see someone in the hospital wing.

Action: Praying she doesn't get sick or pass out in front of everyone and heading to the hospital wing#-o

Sorry that I'm having to cut out right now, but things IRL are getting a little more than hard to handle at the moment and haven't been keeping up with this thread enough to keep things interesting for y'all :unsure: I'm hoping to be back in the full swing of things in about 2 weeks :blink: Y'all have fun! :D ))
 
(no problem, I've been a little too busy to post much here myself. Hence, the absence of bludgers and snitches, etc. Do the rest of you want to call this practice quits and see if we can't set up something more like an actual game when everyone is online simulataneously?)
 
((((Sounds good to me Bruin, do you want to actually call it in IC or just sort of let it die? :D And yeah I think we should look for a time when we can have more people online...)))
