Sakura walked down purposefully to the pitch, she had left a message with the captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team for some of the team if possible to have a bit of fun on the pitch with herself and James. She wondered if any of them would show up, she really hoped they would.

Once at the pitch she straddled her broom and kicked off, doing a few barrell rolls and speed loops always helped her to unwind. In and out of various hoops she sped delighted to be in the air again, it would be brilliant if they got to play but she wasn't counting on it really. It would be an awfully long year without quidditch in her life though. She flew high above the hoops before diving down in a steep drop, pulling up in plenty of time before the ground met her. Thinking that they probably all had classes or something, she didn't hold out too much hope really.

Giving herself a good shake, she chastised herself for not giving them more time. Just because she was eager to get up in the air she couldn't really expect others to be the same way.

Bruin had received a note from one of the Hogwarts Gryffindors about the possibility of doing a little flying together. Bruin's reduced course load this term afforded him the luxury of flying a little more regularly and he was interested to see if his counterparts from HS might have some plays or strategies that they might be willing to share that could provide his own team with an advantage in the upcoming season.

He strolled out onto the field with his Scarlet Streak resting on his right shoulder and admired as a girl jetted around the field. He wondered if this was the Sakura whom had left the note or if there were others. Regardless, this girl knew how to fly and that was enough for him. He waited for her to pull out of a rather steep dive and then mounted his broom, pushing off and flying over towards her at a rather pedestrian pace.

"Hi there, I'm Bruin. Are you Sakura?" He asked with a friendly grin.

Pulling up the head of her broom Saks came to a stop swerving very gently around to see the person who had joined her. So this was the boy who had won all those trophies then, his reputation had definitely surpassed him. She hadn't been able to resist checking out their cups and other silver ware and doubly so coudn't resist enquiring from Cyndi who the boy was whose name was on the majority of the trophies. Putting a face at last to the famous name was not so much a relief as it was intriguing.

"Hello Bruin, yeah I'm Sakura" she smiled at him, removing the goggles she always wore pushing them high on her head like a pair of sunglasses. Removing one of her gloves she held out a hand to him moving her broom in closer.

"Glad to finally meet you" should I now say nice trophy collection, hardly?
"Hope you didn't mind me being that pushy but I figured if we're here for the year it mightened do either side any harm to have a little extra experience behind them. Learn from each other type of thing."

Now she was over doing the introduction, wishing that James would hurry up he was so much better at this than she was, Sakura hovered admiring his broom and exact replica of her own.
"Great taste" she murmured.

Bruin hovered on his broom as Sakura approached and confirmed his thoughts as to her identity. He extended his own hand and exchanged a short, mid-air shake. "Nice to meet you too!" He replied warmly. "And I don't think it was pushy at all. I think it's a great idea actually and after watching you fly, I'm sure you'll fit right in at our practices and stuff. So, what do you think of our school so far?" Bruin asked casually, wondering how many others from either school might be joining them.

Kiera walked onto the pitch. She saw Bruin and a girl she didnt know flying in the air. Kiera wondered who she was. She shrugged and mounted her broom. She was supposed to be here after all. She grinned at the other two. "Hey Bruin!" Kiera called out. "Hi Im Kiera." she said to the other girl. She flashed her a bright welcoming grin.

((Tell me if I wasnt supposed to post!))

Yawning James made his way to the pitch, it wasn't necessarily that it was early there was no right or wrong time as far as he was concerned when quidditch was in the equation. Himself and Saks had been up discussing the idea of joining in with the New Zealand team while they were here, much to Bellas chagrin. Typical Saks had jumped on it straight away and insisted on writing a message to the captain whose name they had gotten from Cyndi the day before.

With his streak in one hand and the other shoved deep inside his robes he sauntered out onto the pitch. Not in the least surprised when he saw Saks already there and two others. He figured the boy had to be the captain, they were about the same age so getting on his broom he flew up to join them.

"Hey Saks couldn't bear to wait huh?" the thrill of being able to play for the year here was obviously too much for her. He too loved the game but knew for his team mate that it was like an obsession.
"Hiya I'm James, are you the captain of the team here then?" he naturally directed the question to the boy knowing it wasn't likely that the girl was called Bruin. To her he smiled and inclined his head in greeting.

Cyndi walked down to the pitch with her scarlet streak in hand. She was eager to get more practice in and had mentioned to Sakura and James that they ought to fly with the other Gryffindors some time.

Cyndi saw that Bruin and Kiera were already there and hoped that some others would show up. "Hi everybody." Cyndi said with a smile. "Have you all met then?" Cyndi asked wondering whether she needed to make introductions.

"I love the school Bruin, its alot like our own just subtle differences really, but yeah I like it here."
Another girl approached them flying up to meet them on her broom.

"Hi Kiera, I'm Sakura another Gryffindor just different hemisphere is all" when James finally showed up she rolled her eyes as he passed his comment about her not being able to wait and then to her delight the girl from the trophy room showed up.

Sakura smiled at Cyndi
"Hey you, just finished my introduction but James probably thinks he's self explanatory by now." she turned to whisper loudly so James would still hear.

" How have you been then?" she had enjoyed the short time in the trophy room she had gotten to spend with this fifth year and was delighted with the suggestion of playing with her team. Typical that she hadn't run it by Professor Davis but surely she couldn't mind, it was going to so obviously keep Sakura out of trouble wasn't it?

Kiera grinned as the girl introduced herself. "Its great to meet you! I hope you love it here." she said cheerfully. Then a boy who she only assumed was from Hogwarts Scottland. She returned his smile. "Hi Im Kiera Kingsley." she said introducing herself in a friendly voice. Next Cyndi arrived. Kiera was happy to see another familiar face. "Hey Cyndi!" she called as she saw the older girl.

Mike trotted over to the Quidditch Pitch, his streak by his side.Mike had heard a rumour that Gryffindors from both schools were practising together.Mike saw Keira and Bruin and gave them a friendly wave and nod.

Kat had seen the note that was posted to all Gryffindors from both HNZ and HS. More than just a little excited, in fact she was practically glowing as the prospect of meeting new people, she threw on an old pair of jeans and her Gryffindor sweatshirt, grabbed her Scarlet Streak and headed down to the pitch. When she arrived she saw that Kiera, Bruin, Cyndi, and Mike had already beat her there. Kat noticed another older boy and girl, whom she took to be from Hogwarts in Scotland, seeing as this was supposed to be for Gryffindors only. She hopped on her broom and flew up to where everyone else was gathered. "Hi guys!" she said with a bright smile to her friends and then turned to the other two and said, "Hullo! I'm Katalina Vanderhol, but everyone around her just usually calls me Kat! I'd offer a handshake, but i'm a bit of a clutz and would probably just fall off since we're levitating midair. Any of these guys over here can attest to that fact." Shut up Kat! You're rambling like a bloody idiot! she berrated herself, but couldn't help chuckle at herself. "So...how do you both like it here?"

Sakura was quite frankly thrilled, she had hoped the Gryffindor team would show up and like their own back home they came up trumps.
"Hi Kat, falling is just another type of flying just remember to do it with style when you do" she smiled at her.

She wondered if anymore would show up, this was a pretty nice number as it was. The thought of doing proper training sessions this year was exhilirating, especially as she had been convinced that she would just about manage to fly.
"Hi again Mike. We met the other morning, there were two other members of the team then wasnt' there. One of the seekers and the keeper" she could remember the positions they played no problem but considering the amount of new people they had met over the past few days, remembering names was getting harder. She was tempted to emblazon everyones names on their uniforms for the first few weeks until she got used to them all but figured no one would really go for that solution.

This was great more and more were beginning to show up to play. He was psyched now should be a good much about at the very least.
"Hey Kiera, Kat I'm James, James Potter" he hovered some more on his broom before moving the broom around the group, he was beginning to get a little restless now, delighted though to see Cyndi and Mike again, though he hadn't had much of a chance to talk to the younger boy the other day.

Cyndi smiled at Sakura. "I've been good. Busy with classes. So, I see you met Bruin." She noticed that the girl had been curious about him a couple of days earlier when she saw his trophies in the trophy room.

"When are we starting?" Cyndi said. She knew she probably sounded impatient but she was eager to see what kind of game Sakura and James had.

Kiera smiled. "Its nice to meet you James." she said cheerfully. She did not make the connection between James and Harry Potter. After all she was practically raised a muggle. The name meant nothing to her. "Hey Kat!" Kiera said excitedly as she flew towards her. Kat was one of Kiera's best friends. She looked around and saw they were still missing several people. "Has anyone seen Andy or Hilary?" she questioned.

Andromeda raced as fast as her legs could carry her down to the pitch, apparantly the Gryffindors they had met the other day were going to play with them today. How exciting was this going to be? Once on the pitch she straddled her broom and fly up to meet them all. There already seemed to be a nice gathering up there.
"Hey everyone great day for some playtime huh?" she smiled at Kiera, Kat and Bruin.
"Hey Bruin you won't have to be keeper today, Sakura is a keeper back home aren't you? So you can play your own position today".

She was too excited to realise she might just have stepped on someones toes.

The young girl from the other day arrived to join them in the air, this one was the keeper. She mentioned how Bruin sometimes played keeper and Sakura turned on her broom to face him again.
"So you play keeper position too, what other positions do you play?" was there nothing this boy didn't do?

Bruin had a feeling that the rest of the Pride would come running once they heard there was an opportunity to practice with some of their counterparts from Hogwarts Scotland. He just didn't realize that they would arrive in a wave and make it virtually impossible for him to inject much into the conversation. He simply nodded to James, trying to let him know that he was, in fact, Bruin and smiled widely at the enthusiasm of the rest.

A quick headcount revealed eight eager players and Bruin began wondering what might work. He had some ideas, but he didn't wish to appear bossy and was certainly open to any suggestions that their visitors or the rest of his teammates might have.

"I suppose we can start anytime, I guess the only question is what does everyone want to do? Anybody have any brilliant ideas?" Bruin offered with a grin.

Bruin had heard Sakura's question, but wasn't quite sure how to respond. As the others contemplated his question, he turned to her and said a little more quietly. "Well, to be honest I just kind of occupy space in front of the hoops when I play Keeper. I'm a little more comfortable with a Beater's Bat in my hand." Bruin had attempted to play all four positions with varying degrees of success, but time would tell what might be needed today.

Sakura looked about her noting that there were only eight players, she was curious to why twice now Bruin had managed to side step any questions she had asked of him. Perhaps its a boy thing. Not sure then if anything she said would make a difference she thought he would prefer for her team captain James to discuss strategies. Feeling a little snubbed and not liking it at all, Sakura turned her broom around.
"Well if there's more on their way, I'll just fly about a bit more then. Get a feel for this pitch" she chose not to look at the Gryffindor captain this time around but smiled at Cyndi and the others. Friendly my eye.
Then for no apparent reason he spoke to her a little quieter maybe not wanting the others to hear so she twisted her broom around to him once more.
She listened delighted that he hadn't been snupping her but perhaps just hadn't been able to get a word in.
"A beater? Oh man, its because of a beater that I wear these goggles for every game and practise session now" hoping that wasn't too enigmatic she smiled shifting the goggles she had on her head.

Hilary came down to the pitch just wanting to do a bit of flying as practice. When she saw all the red and gold floating above the pitch she realized that it was Gryffindors. "SHOOT I MISSED THE MEMO AGAIN!" she said quite loud. Jumping onto her broom she flew over to the group. She saw a couple of students she assumed were from HS. Being outgoing she decided to introduce herself. "Hey guys, sorry if I'm late... I missed the memo that we had practice. Oh and I'm Hilary Grace" She said mainly for those she didn't really know her. "I'm not sure if you guys did this yet but, what positions do you guys play?"

Sakura smiled at the friendliness of this girl, this was something she had gotten used to since she had been here.
"I'm our Keeper have been for three years now and James there our captain is also our seeker. What about you?" she hoped James was thinking through the various games he made them play on practise sessions and thought she'd cringe if he suggested the more intensive training regime he made them do.

Hilary smiled and replied "Well we've been having a few toss ups with the teams over the past few years, just because of numbers and commitment but ever since the end of first year I've played seeker". Hilary was a little nervous, if this James guy was not only a seeker but also the captain of his team then if the teams molded together she might just be tossed aside. Although she wasn't totally against the combination of the teams or trying new positions she was obviously scared of being tossed aside for someone from a different country.

"Hi Hilary, James Potter at your service" if he could have bowed on the broom he would have, showing off was his forte after all. Looking about at the kids that had shown up he calculated some moves in his head. Not knowing what type of practise they usually did here he thought he'd lay their techniques on the line. Also catching a sense of nervousness from Hilary, James wondered what had set this in motion. Was it because Saks had said he was their seeker?

"Bruin how do you usually do a practise session? I mean we have pretty intense training sessions three times a week and then pseudo games amongst the team itself on the other days" turning to Cyndi who he also knew was a beater he manuevered his broom so that he wasn't facing her at an awkward angle.

"I mean you're a beater Cyndi so what part of your body needs to be strong, really strong? Your arms yeah? Well we do sessions where we try to strengthen this also if you're say right handed we make sure you also practise with your left hand in the event one arm becomes incapcitated the other can still come into play. There are a few mad games we play for these that practically all the team gets in on. Except our keeper"

he threw a look at Sakura as if she was his biggest worry on their team, when he really knew they would never have gotten on so well in the cup stakes over the past few years without her.

Cyndi again got lost as the conversations picked up around her. She was happy to just sit back and listen for a while as more and more Gryffindors arrived on the pitch. Cyndi was glad that everyone seemed happy to practice with Sakura and James.

Cyndi heard James ask her a question so she turned to address him. "My arms." she said at almost the same time that he did. Cyndi smiled. She listened him talk about the exercises they did to strengthen both arms. "That sounds really cool. You'll have to show me some of those exercises sometime. I could probably use that." Cyndi was always willing to try new exercises to strengthen her arms up. "So, are you and Bruin going to be the captains for our games since you guys are usually the captains?" She asked. She turned so she could see both Bruin's and James' reactions.
