Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y46/S1

Josh got a hold of the quaffle once it was thrown back into the pitch and headed towards the hoops on the other side.

Making it on the Gryffindor quidditch team, even if it was as an alternate, felt like a dream come true to Miro. He was not only able to represent his house on the team but also to fly around and play quidditch, one of the few things that he actually looked forward to about returning to school. Miro was nothing if not determined to show the captain and the rest of the team that he was worthy of being an alternate, even if he was only a second year and relatively new to flying, and showed up to the team's first practice as early as he could. He listened as the captain greeted the team with a speech, nodding along to show he was listening.

Miro wasted no time after the speech was over before he put on all his beater gear, flying into the air with a bat in hand. He began the practice by flying around, attempting to chase after the first bludger he saw and trying to hit it with all his might. The bludger flew far from where he had been aiming, but Miro tried not to let the failure bother him as he resumed his flying around the pitch.

Rāwhiti heard the familiar rushing of air a second too late, just barely failing to swerve out of the way in time. He gave a loud 'oof' of pain as Aurora's bludger hit him in the thigh, leaving what was no doubt going to be an impressive bruise. He bit back the pain and grinned back at his teammate. "Good one!" He called out, before returning to the search.

When Josh was close enough to the hoops, he threw the quaffle towards the right hoop and managed to get another one in.

Rāwhiti did his best to ignore the bruise throbbing at his side as he flew on, eyes wide for the snitch.

Miro continued to fly around, trying not to let the commotion around him distract him from finding another bludger to hit. It wasn't much longer before Miro finally found a bludger to chase, flying as fast as he could and reaching to hit it with his bat. he frowned when he watched the bludger fly in the opposite direction he had been aiming for and tried not to let it bother him.

Milo knew it wasn't likely for him to have spotted the snitch this early, but part of him was secretly hoping for a ridiculously early catch, if only so Raawhiti would actually listen to him when he tried to give him advice.

Santiago finally hit another bludger but his aim was off and he ended up hitting one of the chasers instead. @Joshua Lynch

Miro continued to fly around the pitch, soon spotting another bludger. He sped after it, hitting it with his bat as soon as he could and watching as it again flew off course. He was beginning to feel frustrated as he wanted to impress the rest of the team, but in the same league also tried his best not to show it as he flew to the other side of the pitch in pursuit of another bludger.

As Josh waited for another chaser to have a turn with the quaffle, he felt a smack of a ball hit him on the side of his arm, which he hadn't initially expecting, feeling a throbbing pain on the side of his arm.

Rāwhiti kept his head up as he flew on, hoping to catch the snitch soon and start rebuilding some of the team's hopes in him.

Milo checked over his shoulder when he heard a beater bat connect with a bludger, deciding he was clear enough out of the way to keep looking for the snitch.

When it looked like no one else was going to collect the quaffle, Josh decided to grab a hold of the quaffle and headed towards the other side of the pitch.

Rāwhiti flew lower as he carried on, searching for the snitch below the goalposts.

When Joshua was close to the hoops, he threw the quaffle towards the right hoops, and it managed to sail right though once again.

Rāwhiti was pleased to see Joshua on such fine form already, glad at least some of the team had stuck by him.

This training appeared to be a one man show of Josh flying up and down the pitch scoring at both ends. When Teddy missed a save again, he collected up the quaffle and threw it back out to play.

Aurora didn't manage to hit a bludger in the right direction.

Fraser grabbed the quaffle after Teddy threw it back out.

Rāwhiti kept close to his broom as he flew on, eyes open for the snitch.

Aurora missed the bludger she was going for.

Fraser got close to the hoops and tried to score, feeling very disappointed when he missed.

Rāwhiti started to pull higher, having had no luck searching for the snitch below the hoop level.

Aurora managed to hit another bludger and then sent it towards one of the older chasers.

@Joshua Lynch

When no one else went for the quaffle, Fraser flew forward and grabbed it again.
