Gryffindor Quidditch Practice S1/Y48

Aroha followed swiftly, searching for a good way to line up to get the snitch.
 
Rule 2b.

Veronica managed to steal the quaffle when it was played out into play but her quick shot on goal was saved.
 
Milo tried to sweep high over the pitch, wanting to steer clear of the mess of the rest of the team and get a good vantage point for the snitch.
 
Teddy missed the snitch catch whilst defending the hoops from Alicia, but he could see something had happened and cheered when he saw Aroha had the snitch in her hand. He only had a moment though as Veronica came back to try score next, which Teddy also blocked. He threw the quaffle back out again.
 
Rule 2a

Once again Veronica saw a chance to pounce on the quaffle and began marching it up the pitch.
 
Milo paused for a moment to get a read on the pitch, watching the other players closely and quietly hoping he might spot some snitch movement without trying.
 
Once she was close enough to the hoops Veronica tried again to shoot for goal but she missed.
 
Startled by what might have been a flash of movement, Milo shot downwards, holding on tight so he didn't slide off his broom.
 
Rose rather hoped her siblings practices went a little smoother than her own.
 
Veronica grabbed the quaffle again when it was thrown out, it was as if the other 'real' chasers weren't even there. She aimed at the hoops but annoyingly it was saved again.
 
Aroha followed Milo, presuming he'd seen something.
 
[[sorry i have been away for a couple of days for Christmas. and had a busy time preppingfor the day.]]

Ivy followed Veronica along the pitch. once again feeling like the fifth years shadow looking for an opportunity to get in her way and intercept the ball. she didn't spot one. Thankfully, Teddy was doing better than her and managed to save it. "Nice shot Veronica, Good Save Teddy" she said as she flew forward to take the throw in.
 
Ivy continued down the pitch. Looking around for where her team mates were and weren’t fit almost didn’t see one of the seekers in front of her but she managed to swirve out of the way before they collided. she headed closer to the goal. this time she focused. she needed to get it in. to prove to the others that she was more than just a kid, more than just an annoyance. she had skill, and had been practicing quidditch with her siblings ever since she could hold onto a toy broom. she focused aimed and threw she let out a sigh of relief as the ball went cleanly through the centre of the hoop. she paused for a second to make sure it was all good before turning her attention back to the game her determination in it renewed.
 
Milo pulled his broom even out of his dive, no longer sure of what he'd seen but not willing to lose speed when he noticed Aroha was on his tail.
 
Aroha kicked up, speeding ahead and catching sight of the glint of gold. If she got it a second time, then she could really gloat.
 
Rose grabbed the quaffle after it went through, annoyed she hadn't been paying attention, she there back into the field.
 
Milo swore under his breath as Aroha picked up speed and confidence, he needed to get his head in the game if he was going to prove he was top seeker here.
 
Veronica grabbed the quaffle when Rose threw it back out into play and began making her way down the pitch.
 
Milo stuck close to Aroha again, hoping he could catch sight of what she was chasing and find a good angle to steal the snitch.
 
Teddy cheered when Ivy scored at the other end, and readied himself for Veronica to try to score his end.
 
Milo slowed down to try and get his bearings, hoping it was worth the risk of losing ground to Aroha.
 
Once she was close enough to the hoops Veronica threw the quaffle and missed.
 
Teddy saved the quaffle and threw it back out to play.

Alicia managed to intercept the quaffle and flew off with it.
