Gryffindor Quidditch: free training

Daviana watched as the quaffle fell to the ground and became a little confused if Felix was going back to playing seeker. She flew down to gather up the quaffle under her arm and held onto it for a moment, waiting to see what would happen next between the captain and the prefect.

William still didn't any bludgers.

Felix felt a little bad for not picking the Quaffle back up, as Daviana went after it, but Felix needed to show Ivy how to catch the snitch.

Daviana tossed the quaffle in the air as she waited for another chaser to come by and join her in blocking the hoops. She wished they had made self-shooting quaffles so she could practice on her own.

"You know, I've found the best way to catch the snitch, is to not look for it," Felix was explaining to Ivy, hovering beside her in the air. "It's like it knows you're watching for it."

William continued to not hit anything.

"And then suddenly," as if on cue, the snitch popped up in front of him, "You'll find the snitch comes to you." He flew forward a few feet towards the tiny golden ball, grasping it in his fingers before offering it out to the Captain.

Ivy looked towards the sun then at the pitch then back at Felix to use the sun. I know it’s a shiny gold thing. But it’s a bit too big to catch she said making a joke to hide her weakness. And then the boy was off and a second later the snitch was in his hand. what the… she said the wind taking the explicative before it out.

It wasn't long before the snitch had flown off again. "Yeah, but you use the sun to find the snitch, you look for the reflection," he smiled, peering out across the pitch. "Look, it's right there," Felix beckoned for Ivy to follow, crossing past a few players and following the golden ball for a moment, before plucking it right back out the skies for a second time. "It's easy when you know what you're looking for," that and it helped William hadn't hit him with a bludger yet.

William managed to locate, and successfully hit a bludger and sent it towards @Felix Layton.

Ivy followed Felix’s advice and watched and waited. But no snitch came to her.

Felix turned just in time to see the bludger coming straight for him snd he was too close to avoid it. He yelped as it made contact.

Ivy saw Felix get hit by a bludger pretty hard are you okay? she asked before she turned to William nice hit she called. Wondering how long it would be until she got a bludger her way.

"Yep," Felix got out with a winded breath. "Great hit," he winced and gave Will a thumbs up and a pained grin.

ivy loojed around the pitch and still saw no snitch. she saw daviana hanging near the hoops and realsied that there was currnetly noone playing as chaser. she flew over to her. "Hey daviana. do you want to have a go playing in a different positon or would you like me to do some shooting and keeping drills with you?" she asked. feeling ba that her keeper was left on her own. especially rembmeering her brothers complaints when he was on the team.

@Daviana de Lundin

It was fun to try another role, especially since practising in any other role to their usual was counting towards their Quidditch skills in general.

There was an advantage of using training snitches and that was that they were designed to come back if you clapped the right way. Ivy was considering cheating and calling them back to her. However she knew that wouldn’t be fair. She would be out here long after the training ended trying to catch the balls. However maybe she should actually move back to practice her actual position during the training.

Felix did not catch the snitch a third time in a row but he would have been shocked if he had since it had only just been freed again.

Ivy started to fly around the pitch looking to see if she could spot any glints.

William knew what it was like to be hit by a bludger and it wasn't fun. Despite that, he sent another bludger at @Felix Layton.

Barely a couple of minutes passed before Felix was smacked by one his best buds yet again. With tears in his eyes this time he flew towards the Beater, "Do you feel like defending me instead Will?" He was joking, but he would have appreciated it.

Ivy kept flying and looking. But no sign. At the sound of a thwack she looked to see another bludger flying. She had a expectednto he more of a target of Williams bludgers today. She was part relieved that she wasn’t but did feel sorry for Felix who had taken another hit. that was a great hit. Are you okay? she said directing the half of the sentence to two the two boys respectively

"Sorry dude, just practicing going for the seeker," He gave him a thumbs up before resuming his flight. He soon came across another bludger and while he had intended to aim for Aroha, it went off course and hit @Ivy Cullen instead.

Daviana thought about Ivy's question. She really wanted to spend time perfecting her actual position, but it wasn't helpful if no one else was playing chaser. This could be a fun opportunity to try out some other things again like she did when playing with her family. "Uh, sure. Maybe I can try being a beater?" she asked @Ivy Cullen
