Fraser glanced at the gathered team and gave a warm smile. He was sure their chances were exceedingly good. He was sure they were doing to have a good practice and that they were going to have a good season. He made sure everyone had arrived before he cleared his throat. "Right, let's get to it, we've got to make sure we're ready for our first game of the season," he said, and he glanced towards Teddy in case he had anything to add before motioning for people to get up into the air.

Felix had been yearning for years to be on the Quidditch team, and now was his time to shine. As a seeker, no less. He'd made his way down to the pitch and mounted his broom, kicking off into the air to catch the snitch as much as he could during their practice session.

Teddy felt excited about the team this year and thought they had excellent chances for keeping the cup. He nodded along with Fraser and didn't need to add anything, except to the other keeper. "You defend the south hoops and I'll take the north," he told Rose before kicking off.

Santiago could feel the pressure of the upcoming season and their need to protect their title, and for once he didn't immediately want to run from it. He needed the practice and took to the air swinging. And things were off to a good start as he made contact but missed his mark and hit Fraser instead. @Fraser Fergusson

Miles was buzzing. He had made the team, and not just as an alternate, but a full chaser right from the start. The Gryffindor couldn't wait to get started, grinning and both of the captains almost as a thank you for picking him before he took to the sky. He was eager to prove himself, swooping in and grabbing the quaffle right from the start before heading towards the hoops.

Felix had been in the air for just a few seconds when he saw the snitch. Ignoring the other players, the third year flew toward it as fast as he could, wrapping his fingers around the tiny ball before some of the team had even gotten into the air. "That.. counts, right?" he asked the captains.

Teddy had barely reached the goal when Felix caught the snitch, he cheered for him and called back, "Yeah that counts, good work Felix!"

As he pulled up to the hoops, Miles hoped for the best as he aimed at the middle hoop, though a frown crossed his face when he managed to miss. That was not the best start.

Santiago searched for another bludger to hit.

Felix grinned at Teddy, releasing the snitch and giving it a moment to fly away before starting his search again.

Rose heads up into the air and covers her hoops.

Felix flew a lap around the pitch, before spotting the gold once again. This was even easier than it had been when he'd played against Leda. He caught it neatly and could practically hear Monty's whistle in his head.

Aroha was a bit miffed that the younger seeker had caught the snitch straight out the gate. Twice. No, it didn't count in her books. She scowled as she tried to find the snitch again, giving herself time for it to disappear before looking for it again.

William got started in practice and didn't immediately find a bludger, unlike Felix who caught the snitch right away. He kept looking.

Felix had to hope William wasn't going to aim for his bestie, but so far Felix had already caught the snitch twice without being a bludger target which was nice.

William didn't hit anything.

Rose kept her eye on the hoops as she waited for someone to try and throw one into her area

fiona was glad she managed to finally make the time, she quickly flew up into the air, looking for a bludger to hit

fiona did not hit a bludger

Miles grabbed the quaffle again as he turned and headed back towards the hoops

fiona had managed to hit a bludger, aiming it towards one of the seekers but it went off course and hit one of the chasers instead. @Miles Flynn

Felix flew around the pitch hoping to catch the snitch just once more before Aroha did, just for good measure.

Just as he pulled up the hoop and went to score, the bludger came right for him. It hurt as it slammed into his leg, causing the quaffle to slip slightly as it left his hand causing it to completely miss the hoop he had been aiming for.

fiona didn't hit a bludger

And just like that, he'd done it again! Felix grinned at the other seeker, waving the snitch in his hand and wondering whether Aroha was watching for tips.
