After reassuring his wife that their house elf could handle the quadruplets and warning the children that they had better be on their best behavior, Andrew took his wife's arm and led her from the house. She looked stunning, as usual, and he was glad to have her on his arm. As they entered the castle where LeAnn had lived for the past seven years, Andrew let out a whistle of admiration. He'd heard LeAnn's description of the place, but this was the first time that he was truly seeing it. His old school in Brazil didn't hold a candle to the grandeur of the castle. Stepping through the doors of the Great Hall, Andrew shared a smile with his wife as she led them to the seats that she thought would give them the best view. The man looked around, smiling and nudging Evette when he finally caught sight of LeAnn. She looked absolutely radiant today. Each day, she looked more and more like her mother, something he hoped his stepdaughter was proud of.
Andrew couldn't have been more proud of LeAnn and the smile on his face was not going to come off easily. As the ceremony progressed, he found himself anxiously awaiting the moment when his and Evette's daughter would cross the stage to accept her diploma. That she would be coming home to them soon was icing on the cake. Andrew always missed the energy that the first born always brought to the house when she was there. Her siblings adored her, always eager for her to play with them. And, she had a special place in Andrew's heart. LeAnn might not have been his biological daughter, but he never hesitated in calling her his daughter. He had watched her grow up, and there was no doubt that she was a very important part of his life. She had brought them all together as a family. When she finally crossed the stage, Andrew lifted his camera up so he could get a good picture. He knew that LeAnn would probably be embarassed by it all, but she'd have to deal. Today was a special day for the parents. Glancing over at his wife and seeing her near tears, Andrew shook his head at her, though there was a smile on his face. He returned his wife's squeeze as he settled back into his seat to watch the other students cross the stage. When the ceremony finished, Andrew waited with his wife for LeAnn to join them, tears in his eyes. He knew without looking that Evette was probably in tears herself. He gave his new graduate a huge hug, clearing his throat before he spoke to her to find out what she wanted to do next. He held up the camera, hoping that LeAnn wouldn't mind posing for a few pictures with her mother and him and some of her friends.
