Having three sisters at school with her, as well as a cousin for a professor, would make it seem like she was surrounded my family at all times. But somehow, that wasn’t true. Rose barely saw any of her sisters most days, as they were all in different houses. Rose decided that this was a problem, she loved them all and wanted to meet up with them more often very much. So today, she had sent each of them a note that they would all eat lunch together at the Gryffindor table. She was happy to let one of her sisters pick another table next time, but this was just easiest for now. She had asked a few other students to leave room around her, placing various objects on the benches to make space for her sisters. Now, they just had to show up. But she had the feeling they would.

Phoebe wondered if Rose was lonely, or something. Last year, she had invited Phoebe and Diana for a picnic. Now this? She understood that it was fun to hang out sometime, but did they really have to be at some organized meal every time? Still, she knew her sister would give her the big pleading eyes if she didn’t, so she showed up. Picking up a banana of the bench, she raised an eyebrow at her sister. “Was this supposed to keep people from sitting here?” She asked wryly, before sitting down. “I wonder how Alice is doing.” She added, as she could admit being concerned for her youngest sister. Alice was very social and friendly, so she wasn’t too worried, but she still would have liked to be able to keep a better eye on her.

Diana would normally have grumbled about Rose’s demanding note. She could decide for herself who she wanted to sit with, thank you very much. But with her recent argument with Sapphire, she was happy to escape the Slytherin table for a meal. She rolled her eyes as she heard Phoebe’s concern about Alice. She would bet anything she had that Phoebe hadn’t been that worried last year, when DIana had been new. But of course, Alice was the youngest. That made her special. It was something Diana resented sometimes, but she couldn’t really hold it against her sister either. Silently, she took a seat next to Phoebe, giving her a sideways glance before scanning the table. Jacob Kingsley was in this house, she wondered if he would say anything about her sitting here.

Alice was happy to receive Rose’s invitation. The Hufflepuff was making friends pretty easily, but she was happy to spend time with her sisters too. She knew she was lucky to be surrounded by so much family even at school, and had a bright smile on her face as she approached the group at the Gryffindor table. “Hi guys!” She said happily as she took her seat next to Rose, opposite Phoebe and Diana. “This was a really nice idea! I missed you guys.” She said, looking around to see if she could spot Emily. “It’s so much fun being here.” She added with a small sigh. Finally, they were all together again. She gave Grace a small wave over at the staff table, but figured their older cousin wouldn't join them.

Rose grinned widely as all her sisters joined her at the table, arriving right after one another. She shrugged at Phoebe's question. "Maybe. Or maybe it's a gift to you." She said with a grin. Rose was used to her sister's endless commentary on everything she did. It was something she actually had in common with Diana, though Rose knew better than to compare the two to their faces. This time, Diana was actually pretty quiet. "I'm sure Alice is fine. Are you alright Diana?" Rose asked curiously, looking at the young Slytherin. Rose knew her sister wasn't always the easiest to get along with, and she could only hope she wasn't lonely in Slytherin. Diana would never tell her if she was, so she knew better than to ask directly. But before Diana could answer, Alice arrived too and sat next to Rose. Beaming, Rose put an arm around Alice. "Hey there, how's Hufflepuff?" She asked her youngest sister. "I'm glad you're having a good time. What's it like to have Grace be your teacher?" Rose was curious what Grace was like as a professor, though she was glad her cousin hadn't been here in Rose's first year. Rose had hated flying, as her fear of heights kept her from enjoying even the hovering part.

Diana glanced up and down the table, curious to see what things were like over in Gryffindor. Rose asked if she was okay, and Diana felt a little better about this whole thing. As annoying as Rose could be, she was at least always nice to all her sisters, not picking on Diana needlessly the way Phoebe sometimes decided to do. "I'm fine. How's your life as a prefect?" Rose's badge had arrived with a surprising amount of fanfare, as both her parents had made kind of an embarrassingly big deal about it. Rose had been embarrassed, but she had also liked it Diana thought. It made her kind of want to be a prefect as well, if only for the attention. As Alice arrived, Diana sighed softly. As usual, nothing seemed to ever bother Alice. Of course her younger sister was as bright as ever. Diana gave her a frown. "You missed us? You can see us every day." She said testily as she started grabbing some food. "Don't be a baby."
