Tristan wasn't really one for dances, and the Valentines Dance didn't seem all that different than the Yule Ball had been. But after Sofia asked to go and he had said yes. Maybe it would be fun, and even if it wasn't, at least he'd have talked to Sofia again. He liked the girl and spending time with her was enjoyable. Even though he would have fun with her, he wondered if he would see any of his other friends at the dance. It would be fun to introduce two people and all have fun together. And if the dance wasn't as nice as he hoped, at least there would be food.

He looked at Sofia, smiling. "Do you like the decorations?" He asked, wondering if this was more her thing than it was his.

The Swedish blonde was always excited for a dance, but especially Valentine. She loved it so much! She did a good job with dates, because for every event this year she found another date. She didn't want to go with the same guy everytime. She knew Rufus would like to go with her again, but Sofia just didn't want that. Rufus was very handsome and nice and funny, but she learned things. To not like one person to much and to not hang on to one person, because when you lose it, things would never get better. She loved her mother very much and look what brought that, only death and sadness. She missed her mother everyday and she didn't want to feel that pain of losing somebody again. It wasn't like she couldn't feel love anymore, but she wanted to spread it over a lot of people. That was why she asked Tristan to go the the Valentines dance with her. She liked Tristan and he was a perfect date. Sofia was dressed in a Leather skirt and furry sweather and walked to the Great Hall where she would meet with the Hufflepuf student. When Sofia entered a smile appeared on her face, the decorations were beautiful. A bit too girly for her taste, but as long as she could dance it was ok. She found Tristan and smiled at him. When he asked her about the decorations she answered '' It is lovely, perfect for Valentine.'' Sofia said with a bit of Swedish accent. Sofia was wondering if boys liked this events too, most of the girls were more in for this things. '' A bit too girly perhaps for you?'' Sofia asked at Tristan.

It was nice to see that Sofia was excited, but Tristan did feel a little worried about being someones date. As far as he was concerned, they were here as friends. He hoped Sofia felt the same way. As he saw a few older couples kiss and dance together, he felt a little nervous. She wouldn't expect that, would she? He hoped not. Unlike some girls, Sofia wasn't wearing a dress. He wondered if he should compliment her on her clothes but then decided against it in case she would take it the wrong way. She answered his question about the decorations and he felt a little bit less awkward. "I think they're fine for Valentine's day." He admitted with a shrug. "I mean, there's bound to be a lot of pink on Valentine's day." It was just a color and it didn't bother him much. "Should we, uhm, get something to drink maybe?"

Sofia liked the concept of valentine, but she didn't want to scare Tristan by the Valentine idea. Sofia wouldn't be bothered by the idea that boys liked her, but she had the feeling that Tristan was not really ready for the concept of liking somebody. Because Sofia had to grow up very fast after losing her mother, she was further than some children of her age. But next to that she just loved boys and to be close to them. Sofia had more trouble with girls, she was quickly jealous and found it hard to share the attention. But today that wasn't a problem, she was here with Tristan and nobody else. She smiled at him when he said it was fine. '' Yes they are, and it is tradition in some kinda way ofcourse, it will be weird if everything is black or something.'' Sofia nodded at the question and dragged Tristan along with her to the drinkin table in all of her enthusiasm. She hoped that Tristan would like to dance, because if he was not going she would.

Tristan was still taking in the decorations and the other students when Sofia dragged him along to the drinks table. He let her, smiling a little. It was nice to see her enthusiasm, even if he didn't completely share it. As they walked he tried to figure out if he could see anyone he knew in the crowd. Like Vivian or Jerara, but all he could see were older students dancing and wearing fancy clothes. He had gone to the Yule Ball a few months earlier, but only briefly and without anyone else to go with. Now he wondered what was expected of him, he hoped they didn't have to dance.

He picked a drink once they were at the table and looked around. "So uh... did you make many friends yet?" he asked, hoping that it wasn't a weird topic of conversation for a dance.
