Teddy had never doubted he’d get the head boy badge. Enough people had told him it was a certainty that he would’ve been genuinely shocked if it had gone to any other boy in his year. The head girl choice didn’t surprise him either and he was so relieved that it wasn’t Audrey. Lucy was perfect for the job, they’d been friends since first year and unlike Audrey, hadn't fallen out about anything recently.

Now, with the head boy badge finally pinned to his chest, Teddy wondered what to do with his new authority. Taking house points from other houses at any opportunity was a given, of course. But then he remembered the old castle tours from when he was a younger, tours that he hadn’t seen take place in recent years. Teddy was set on bringing them back and decided to rope Lucy in to help him. He stood in a noticeable spot in the entrance hall and called out. “Tours here! First years, transfers and anyone else with a bad sense of direction, come join us for the castle tour!” he called out, using his experience as Quidditch captain on the field to make sure it was loud enough to be heard in the room. “You’re in for a treat. Lucy here has made sure that we will leave no corridor unexplored! Isn't that right Lucy?” He said, turning to his fellow head person.

Open after @Lucy Montague

Lucy was a little confused how she felt about being head girl. I mean, she was pleased as punch, proud as she could be that she'd been chosen, and had had a feeling it might be coming. But she was also nervous about the responsibility that came along with it - something she wasn't sure or not if Teddy shared. It didn't matter either way, she was probably nervous enough for both of them. She just hoped Audrey wasn't too disappointed. More than that, she wondered if she could reunite the fallen out pair. But first things first - the castle tour. Lucy remembered it from her first year and how fascinating it had been for her.

Lucy smiled brightly as Teddy called in the first years, recognising the technique from her own time as quidditch captain. Then he sprung a question. "What? I mean, yes, of course! Every corridor!" Lucy agreed before realising what she'd said. "I mean, every corridor within reason. There are some boring corridors, believe it or not. We'll be going over the most important for both classes, and for exploring." Lucy knew that getting lost was some cause for concern for some, and exploring a priority for others.

Nico was pretty sure he knew his way around this school, after all, with both his parents, and various other members of his family who had been, he had heard a lot about it, seen a lot about it from pictures. He still however was keen to be shown around, to put together everything he knew into a more firm layout, so he approached the two older students, the head boy and girl, as they announced tours. He didn't say anything, but just approached.

As a first year with a bad sense of direction, the castle tour was the perfect event for Pomegranate to attend. No matter how much her family had told her about the castle, the real thing was much bigger and scarier than anything she could have imagined. She hovered near the Head Girl, picking her target like a baby duck imprinting on the nearest grown-up-ish person, and hung on to her every word. Pomegranate didn't believe there was boring corridors because all corridors had to lead somewhere, and those somewheres had to exist for a reason. She'd just have to take the tour and find out.

Knowing little of the school and seeing how big it was meant Victoria's mind was made up within seconds after hearing something about a castle tour for first years. Even though her sense of direction was usually not too bad, she was sure she wouldn't get anywhere if she hadn't at least gotten a basic lay of the land. She offered the others a friendly 'hi' when she arrived and just about caught what the head girl said about boring corridors. It was a fact Vic wouldn't easily accept from anyone that had just come to Hogwarts, but since the head girl had already been there for years she was more likely to believe it.

Mary Paige dragged Hudson along the corridors until they arrived in the entrance hall. She had heard there were tours going on, and she figured they could both benefit from them - but she wasn't about to go alone. Being an older student on the tour, she could use the guise of helping her brother in case anyone decided to pick on her for some reason. The Hufflepuff let go of Hudson's hand and looked towards the older students. A small crowd had begun to form, but there was still plenty of room for more, she thought, and she wondered if any transfers would join them.

While Hudson would never admit it to her, he enjoyed spending time with Mary Paige, even if she was taking him through the castle like a toddler. He did want to go on the tour, but he wouldn't admit that. Weren't all first years going to be lost for the first few weeks, anyway? "You know, I could just ask my roommates. They seem to know where they're going. And I'll just follow other first years. Maybe you just need the tour," he complained to his sister.

Mania was neither a first year nor a transfer nor did she have difficulty finding her way around. No, in all honesty she just wanted to join the tour for the fun of it, plus she did drag her sister with her there too. So like really she was just joining for Eris' sake. She turned to look at her sister then at the head people. "That one gave me crisps last year, he is cool." She whispered to Eris gesturing towards Teddy with her head. "And she's in the art club, well the leader of it, that held the talent show I told you about. She's cool too I think," This time she nodded towards Lucy while whispering nonchalantly to her sister.

Eris wasn't surprised that Nia had dragged her to this castle tour thing, nor was she against joining it exactly. Settling with the group already formed around who Mania had previously explained to her were the head people. She listened to her sister whispering and nodded, not that the bits of information would serve any purpose with her but she supposed it was good to know? Now they'd just wait for the tour to begin.

Natsuko knew she wasn't the best at finding her way around. She'd done a bit of exploring, and that had gone well until she reached the point where she couldn't find her way back. Therefore, she figured it was pretty important to know about where to go. She showed up and was surprised to see the older boy she'd seen taking points away from another first year. She raised her eyebrows at him, then whispered to the closest person to her: "You see the head boy? I saw him taking away house points from someone for using magic. Not even dangerous magic or anything - just magic." She shot a small glare towards him, which honestly was very far from intimidating and probably looked more like she was trying to pull a face.

Hudson waited for his sister's response when a girl started talking to him. He looked at the Head Boy and squinted. They were supposed to use magic, weren't they? At the same time, he heard another girl shouting about a tour for first years by first years, which was a tad confusing but sounded a bit more fun. "Maybe we should go over there, then," he said to the girl. "She'd be able to show us more fun places maybe if this guy is such a stick in the mud." He made sure to say all this is a quieter tone so his sister would be less likely to hear. @Natsuko Hirano

Natsuko nodded enthusiastically, seeing the girl she'd been with when she'd first encountered the so-called head boy. "Yeah, let's go over there," she whispered enthusiastically. "She sounds like she knows what she's talking about. These guys probably won't tell us the good spots anyway, 'cause they'll want them to themselves." She nodded at her own comment as though to bolster her faith in it.

At first Sofia had debated whether or not to join the castle tour for first years because she figured it wasn't hard enough to follow the large crowds of students towards classes or the Great Hall. But she quickly realized the castle was much bigger than she anticipated, and it was better to be more informed rather than get lost on her way to class one day.

As she made her way toward the gathering for the castle tour, she heard another group gathering not too far away from the Head Boy and Head Girl. It seemed another first year was trying to lead their own castle tour. She saw a few students join her and even defect from the Head Boy and Girl's group, which didn't make sense to her. Logically, it was only natural for seventh years to know much more about the castle than a first year.

With one last glance at one of her new housemates who defected to the other tour group, Sofia inched closer to her other roommate, the one she remembered being named after a fruit, and gave her a small smile, waiting expectantly for the tour to begin.
