Rowan pretty much didn't know any of the older students, especially if they weren't in her house. Shane Ackely was certainly a name she was unfamiliar with, but mostly she hoped she could get a hold of them. "Anyone know Shane? Ackley... seventh year?"

Shane liked sending roses more than he liked receiving them. He just thought they were a little silly to get, and had in almost every instance of getting it tried to give the rose back to the rose deliverer. So he'd gone out to the lakefront to get a little peace from the world when he heard someone look for him. He looked around and gave a little wave, "I'm Shane," he said, speaking loudly so they would see and hear him spot where he was.

"Ah!" Rowan noticed the hand and hurried over to the boy. It was relaxing by the lake, a spot she had enjoyed with Elio or Elsie often enough. "Hi, sorry to disturb your peace. I have a rose for you, but it doesn't have a note attached," she said, holding out the pink rose.​
