In light of the site's imminent closure, I've been writing up some epilogues for my characters, to send them off properly. Some of this is taken from future plots I never got around to, other bits are just me making things up in the moment as I've been reflecting on the characters. As a result, some of these are MUCH longer/more detailed than others lol

Enjoy these happily (or not) ever afters!

Kyle increased his involvement in his local community theatre program and was eventually able to find a teaching position at a small drama school, leaving retail & spending his later life acting and teaching acting, as well as spending time with his husband, daughters, and grandchildren.

Gabriel's hands began acting up in his early 70s after decades of tattooing and he elected to switch from active work to training his protegee Ava Lockwood to take over the business, which he left to her when he retired.

With all of her children graduated, Maria stepped away from Hogwarts and began transitioning from counselling into social work, supporting children from abusive households and helping them find safe homes.

After a life dedicated to seeking his own advancement worked out super well for him, Richard pretty much continued how he was. He never acknowledged his daughter and when Alex petitioned to adopt her officially he was happy to sign off on it. He died old, rich, and happy in the way that's really goddamn annoying and he definitely didn't deserve.

Ainsley's move into teaching was a struggle for the first few years but she was able to develop a new routine to better manage her autism, without the dramatic highs and lows of Ollivanders. In her spare time she pursued academic work in experimental charms, and while she never achieved her life's goal of discovering the source of magic, she made several great strides in her research, moving the subject forward for new generations of researchers, including those she trained herself.

Lizzie continued playing Quidditch until a broken clavicle never healed properly, affecting her bat arm too badly for her to continue. The timing was for the best, as Lizzie's parents were preparing to retire, and she was able to take over the family ski lodge, transitioning from Quidditch to teaching skiing and snowboarding and making a welcoming home for visiting witches and wizards from around the world.

October remained dedicated to her dance career as a prima ballerina for the RNZB, but over time her bitterness towards the magical world eased, and as she raised her daughter she more and more came to encourage her to participate, so that when Kitri was ready for school she was well-integrated into magic and able to fit in well at Hogwarts.

Kahurangi continued teaching at Hogwarts for the rest of her life, shepherding generation after generation of Ravenclaws through its halls. She was well into her nineties when she took a nap in her office and simply never woke up. Even with her body left behind, every Ravenclaw walking the towers thereafter knew there would always be a presence they could turn to as Kahurangi's ghost continued to support and encourage new students for centuries to come.

Harley's art centre work continued to grow as the program saw success supporting disadvantaged and disillusioned young people, and over time her role grew from running a single centre to head of a national charity promoting art therapy and free programs for those who needed them. After countless offs and ons again, she and Odette finally tied the knot in their late 30s, and continued to be completely insufferable for the rest of their lives.

Vivian's music had slowly been gaining in popularity since the beginning of his career, but the next album he released was an unexpected success, rocketing him from local indie noteable to global recognition. Though he found the fame overwhelming and did everything he could to keep his life private, it was still a significant upheaval, and one he struggled with substantially. Though he and Tristan never married they remained together for the rest of their lives, and Vivian considered Mason as much his son as Tristan's, doing his best to raise the boy up well.

Caro's photography career continued to take her all around the world, capturing scenic vistas for magazines and books for decades to come. She never settled down or had a family, and was happy to spend the rest of her life travelling the world, free from the insecurities that had tied her down at home. Though she and Lizzie never fully mended their relationship, she still visited her sister from time to time when she was in the country.

After spending his entire adult life working in childrens entertainment, Kauri's dream came true. He was given his own TV show, and spent the second half of his career entertaining and educating the children of the country in Kauri's Hour. He and Flavio remained happily married for the rest of their lives, and their family grew to include many more children, both biological and adopted.

With her children away at Hogwarts, Zoe was finally able to devote herself to her passion; researching the cryptids of the magical world. Her studies took her all over and led her to be the first witch to discover confirmed evidence of Nargles existing, though between her travels she always came home to Theodore and her twins.

The business world had done everything it could for Adelia, and when she considered a life spent just chasing money more and more it felt empty and worthless. So she left the world of business and found employment with the Ministry of Magic, acting as a Muggle consultant within the Ministry of Muggle Affairs, helping to create stronger cultural ties and understanding within the magical community. After a life so filled with plans and structure, Alyce represented a wild, carefree world Adelia couldn't get enough of, and when the other woman suggested one day that they elope, Adelia was entirely on board with the plan.

Edmund's time as head of the Department of Mysteries was a long one, as much as he hated every second of the Dealing With People it required. He oversaw major reorganisation and streamlining of the department, to clarify and simplify processes, and by the time he was ready to retire the department was entirely transformed, leaving behind a more organised, if somewhat grouchier workplace.

Charlie remained a devoted Auror for a long time, convinced that they were doing the right thing; protecting people just how they had always wanted. As time passed though, they began to see cracks in the organisation. It all came to a head when following a spree of violence caused by the Scitorari, a standoff with Shale Night led to Charlie being forced to fire the killing spell. Taking a life took an immense mental toll on them, especially when they did more research and learned about Shale's background; the ways she had been failed by the people and systems around her at every turn. Seeing the direction their life could easily have taken had their own adoption gone as badly as Shale's had, Charlie left the force, no longer willing to police people in need, and instead turned their attention to mental health work and victim support, following in their adoptive mother's footsteps. In an unexpected turn, the publicity around Shale's case led to a letter Charlie had never expected to receive - their biological mother making contact. After being abandoned as a newborn, Charlie had never felt any real urge to meet their biological mother, but meeting the woman after so long and learning how young and helpless she had been at Charlie's birth softened their heart, healing something they had never realised until then was broken.

With her daughters leaving the nest, Ruby returned to the world of management. After the time off, she was able to channel her experience from running Honeydukes into starting a nonprofit to support young parents, and provide resources for those trying to escape abusive relationships. Though it had never been the direction she imagined for her life, Ruby found the work immensely fulfilling, and was able to do immeasurable good for hundreds of people.

After spending many years bouncing between small jobs as a makeup artist, Acacia's muggle social media blew up, and she suddenly found herself in the spotlight for the first time in her life. She was able to start doing a bit of modelling work, and thoroughly immerse herself in the beauty industry, gradually moving into starting her own makeup company. Her parents tried to reconnect and pretend they had never seen her as a disappointment, but she refused to engage, and those channels of communication were closed for good.

Domi's dreams never came true. She came close - after decades of grinding stage shows and extra work, she landed a starring role on a muggle TV show. While the first season saw her skyrocket to popularity, her loud mouth was her downfall. Domi had never really learned to control her worst impulses, and rude comment after rude comment led to her being unceremoniously fired from the show, and #cancelled by the public. Humiliated, she tried to make whatever living she could as a Controversial Figure, but there just wasn't much interest in it, and she eventually returned to Aotearoa and became an estate agent.

Though it was never the path he had expected for his life, Cedar truly came into his own running the Medley. Hosting parties, teaching flashy bartending tricks to new hires, and creating a safe place for others to let loose wound up being his true calling in life, and for a man who had once thought he wasn't going to amount to anything he wound up being plenty successful. Like his sister, Cedar cut his parents out entirely, refusing to share any of his success with them.

Emily had been immensely nervous about being a mother after the way her biological mother treated her, but as soon as Ocean was born, her life changed entirely. It came so naturally to her, instincts instilled entirely by her adoptive mother, and Emily found out that the only thing she could ever love more than the real ocean was the little child who bore its name.

The outdoors remained William's true calling, and he continued his important work ensuring that Aotearoa's native environment survived and thrived with the magical community growing around it. In his time spent in the bush, he was slightly gobsmacked to discover a new species of magical native parrot, and dedicated the rest of his life to breeding programs to ensure the endangered species was able to multiply and thrive.

With old age, Bernard became careless. His experiments became crueler and riskier, and it turned out to be the cause of his own demise. In preparation to administer an experimental and likely lethal cancer treatment to a muggle subject, a trembling hand accidentally combined two of the wrong chemicals, and Bernard didn't survive the resulting explosion, doomed by his own cruel practice.

Though he had never thought he would be welcome, Jason was able to find his own place in the magical world, alongside his sisters and husband. His editorial photography found recognition in magical magazines, as he discovered he didn't need his own magic to operate a magical camera. He had a long and happy career, and family life, free of his parents disapproval.

With all of his daughters having left the nest, James returned to his work as a Herbologist, but his heart was never truly in it. He was getting older, and his nest was painfully empty. After long consideration, James chose to retire early and spend his time helping to care for his grandchildren, with some minor research work on the side, and lived a long, happy life surrounded by his family.

Art school did wonders for Finn, and by the time he graduated from his Masters program, his name was already developing some recognition in the world of abstract sculpture. He went on to have his work shown in several galleries, and was able to make a comfortable living in the world of fine arts, making hefty donations to organisations supporting orphaned children and adoptive parents. Though he never settled down himself, Finn wanted to ensure his own upbringing was available to future generations of children in need.

Nell's career at the Daily Prophet skyrocketed when an undercover investigation led to her involvement in an undercover sting on an escalating spree of violence, caused by her husband's cousin. She was able to use the family connection to find a role undercover within the Scitorari, collecting information and handing off whatever she could to Jasper, while preparing her own article on the matter. In the final standoff between Shale and the Aurors Nell was nearly killed, but she was able to escape the worst of the violence and publish the most in-depth report on the Scitorari yet, sending her career as an investigative journalist to brand new heights.

Efren continued to work quietly in magical law, finding his own niche in the world. He had always been a man content to work in the shadows, and through his polyglot abilities he was able to rise to the level of acting as interpreter during the highest-level, most secretive legal goings on between multiple countries, serving the Ministry well for the rest of his life.

After working at the Dinette for over a decade, Clifton put his expertise to work opening his own bakery. He channelled his other passion into the work as well, theming the bakery's offerings around his favourite comics and sci-fi stories. It was a modest success, and he was able to make a comfortable living combining his life passions. (Though he never got any better at talking to girls.)

After a lifetime spent in magazine publishing, Eva was reluctant to step down, well past retirement age. It was health problems reminding her that she wasn't getting any younger that was the trigger for Eva to finally hang up her hat and dedicate herself to her home life, finally settling down with Melanie and enjoying the rest of her days.

Blake had never seen himself as a father, but when his first child was born he took to fatherhood at once, vowing to be everything his own parents hadn't. Though he struggled at times he did his best to be the man that Lars and their children needed, and pass on a legacy of love. His Quidditch career continued for a long time, well-honed skills leading his team to many a victory, but the more important part of his work became the anti-bullying advocacy he used his platform as a star athlete to push, and when he retired he moved into working for queer charities and speaking on the subject of bullying and finding alternative outlets and support for abused children.

Directionless and aimless, over time Shale found herself with no real option other than crime. The Scitorari welcomed her with open arms the way nobody else ever had, and it wasn't long before she was known for causing havoc across the magical community, raising the organisation's profile for the first time in years. It all came to a head in a standoff with Aurors after an explosion she caused inside the mall, and though Shale did her best to escape, she was ultimately killed in the process of trying to escape.

After his breakdown, Connor finally sought therapy, leading to a diagnosis and treatment he had needed for decades. Though healing was a long road Connor dedicated himself to walking it, making amends with people he had hurt and finally coming to terms with the immense rejection issues he felt with his father. After careful consideration, Connor confronted his father and made the difficult decision to cut him off, focusing on the family members he truly cared about.

After graduating Hogwarts, Lucy wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life - the world seemed wide open, with so many possibilities to take. She bounced from thing to thing for a while - working for her father as a herbologist, a brief stint in art school, a slightly less brief stint in fashion design, but finally she found her niche when her daily walks started taking her past Eeylops. After making the difficult decision to go back to school again, Lucy finally walked away with a path she felt sure of, becoming a vet with a specialty in owl biology.

Bijoux had long felt directionless in life, and a few moves between France and Aotearoa never made things any clearer. Though she never fully settled in any one career she wound up finding multiple different fulfilling ways to spend her time, which eventually led to finding herself while backpacking, dedicating the rest of her life to travelling and seeing as much of the world as possible.

Though she was grateful for everything the magical world had given her, muggle life remained Hester's home. She graduated with a PhD in biology, and dedicated the rest of her life to the study and care of lizards and reptiles, specialising in frogs and toads. She spent the rest of her days travelling the world studying and discovering hundreds of different frog species, and only ever used magic now and then, for the occasional mundane task. Thankfully, nobody ever used any of her pets to hatch a basilisk again, though she did become known for minor paranoia regarding the safety of her toads.

Though part of Vincent wanted to reconnect with his family in Aotearoa, those bridges were long-burned, and he didn't know how to make peace with Melanie's decisions, or James' change of heart in supporting her. He wound up staying in France for the rest of his life, cut off from the people he had once loved.

Though he had never expected to have to learn how to be a father, Emery did his best when Archie entered his life. He still didn't feel like he knew what he was doing, but he did all he could to support Archie and Dash as they became part of his life.

Politics had never been the main plan, and when his time as Deputy Minister was up Rupert returned happily to his former career as a curse-breaker, though he had spent enough time around Aurors that he had become too paranoid to return to his former con-man ways. That, and the love he found with Monty making him for the first time want to be a better man. Though he had never really known love before, let alone how to be someone worthy of that love, Rupert did all he could to reform his ways. As he drew closer to retirement Rupert was pleased to continue training Lysander as his apprentice, nurturing the younger man's talents and ensuring he grew into a powerful and talented cursebreaker.

Pride was always Jenna's downfall, and it was nearly the thing that robbed her of a family member. Though she couldn't bring herself to come to Blake's wedding, she couldn't bring herself to throw the invitation out either, often dwelling on it late at night when she couldn't sleep. Over time life made it impossible for Jenna to ignore how cruel and hateful her family's homophobic views were, and bit by bit she found herself unravelling the values her upbringing had instilled in her. It all exploded at once in a particularly contentious dinner with her parents, when she mentioned one of Blake's recent Quidditch victories and was met with a barrage of slurs and hatred from her parents. Unable to stand it any longer, Jenna tore down their rhetoric and ripped the last shreds of bigotry from her own core, storming out of the dinner and apparating to her brother's house before she really knew what she was doing. She had never once let herself come to pieces before, no matter what life threw at her, but when she explained to Blake what had happened, she was barely able to choke out her apology through the tears. It took a lot of long conversations, but over time she was able to mend her relationship with her brother, though rejecting her family left her unemployed and struggling to find a new path, eventually she was able to find a new way in life, one she could feel truly proud of.

Thistle already knew exactly what she wanted from life by the time she graduated HNZ, and fashion school was an easy next step to take. Specialising in the avant garde, editorial, and wearable arts, Thistle built a name for herself in the high fashion world, founding her own brand based around taking fashion to weird, experimental new levels.

Though it wasn't what she had wanted for her life, Maggi found that teaching drama was deeply fulfilling, and she was able to find her true place as a teacher. She continued to perform as well, doing local talent shows and community theatre and becoming a well known figure in the scene, but her true passion and love in life became passing on her own love of acting to the next generation.

Though her dyslexia hindered her dramatically, Aleja was able to graduate Hogwarts alongside her twin, though the next steps in life were difficult to see. She worked for her mother for a long time, assisting in the charity she ran to support young mothers and abuse survivors, but over time Aleja's interests were drawn in the direction of her older brother, especially as his career began to truly take off. Though she never reached Vivian's heights, Aleja found her calling in music, providing backup for Vivian as he set out on tour.

Alex had never seen himself becoming a father once, let alone twice. When a third child entered his life entirely without his own engagement, it felt like some kind of sign. Whatever he may have planned for himself, caring for his children was the thing he was meant to do. Though he continued working as an artisan broom carver, he dedicated as much of his time as he could to Anouk, as well as continuing to support Louis and Giulia in their adult lives.

Manaia grew to love bartending through his work at the Hog's Head, but music had always been his true calling. With Nolan at his side Manaia was able to dedicate more of his free time to music, and over time made a happy life for himself bartending for income and performing for joy. Though he had always been nervous at the thought of settling down, he found over time that a comfortable life suited him perfectly well.

Nessie's emotional growth was slow and complicated, between her tendency to latch on unhealthily to a single person and her total disdain for every person other than her chosen favourite, but over time she was able to heal her relationship with her sister and even make a couple of friends of her own. She never truly understood why others wanted so many people around them, but she was able to accept it with time, and find her own place in the world as an individual.

Writing was Giulia's clear calling, and before she had even finished her degree she had finished her first novel, though it took several years for her to feel confident submitting it to publishers. Though it took her years to feel confident about her writing, it didn't take long at all for Giulia to feel confident when Akihiro proposed. She went on to have a happy family life with her love, publishing several books in her time and becoming an accomplished author.

Hinemoa's time at Hogwarts was full and happy, defined by friendship and learning. After making many accomplishments in her time at school, Hinemoa graduated with a strong sense of who she was and what she wanted her life to be like. Backed by her mother and the people around her, Hinemoa found her first job at a bookstore and was content there all the while training for her true passion, training that all paid off as she was signed to a professional rugby team.

Though she kept her circle small Ngawaiata also kept it close, and as she aged Sky continued to be her partner in all things. Her second love was duelling though, and her career turned out to be wildly successful, winning multiple world-championships as she honed her skills throughout the years.

After a difficult time as a student, Blanche was content to find a place at the family business, and when her parents retired she inherited the business alongside her brother and set about making their company into one of the lead broom manufacturing companies out there.

After finishing school on such a low note, Rāwhiti crashed out. Hard. He didn't know what to do with himself, spending over a year unemployed living with his parents. It took his siblings physically dragging him out to do things that finally got him emerging from his shell, and over time Rāwhiti found his life re-energised by taking on work in the local marae. Though he never returned to Quidditch, Rāwhiti found himself happy and fulfilled working in management at the marae, keeping his community vibrant and alive.

Although he never truly learned his lesson, Ryan's horrible ways finally caught up with him as one by one his children began to disown him. The selfish, terrified part of Ryan was almost grateful - though it had come after they were all adults, he was finally free of the burden of fatherhood, one he had never been worthy of. After a powerful telling-off from Connor he fled the country outright, returning to Australia and never making any moves to contact his family again.

Though a coffee shop had never been what Timothy expected to do with his life, he found himself happier and more at peace the more time went past. That peace was shattered by the passing of his sister, taken from him by dark forces he had never known she was involved with, ones he couldn't even begin to understand. Though he had to come to terms with the fact that Daria's death would always remain a painful mystery, it was somewhat easier to handle with Corvin by his side, supporting the emotional side of Timothy that he had always struggled to connect with.

After a lackadaisical, easygoing life, Kitty found settling down challenging. She had never taken anything seriously before in her life, but the deeper her connection with Yvonne became, the easier it was to sink into the kind of calm domesticity she had always feared. Though it took them many, many years to feel truly committed, Kitty was happy with the slow, easy pace they found. Professionally her career continued comfortably, with a particular high point when she ran for Minister as a parody candidate, with policies such as wands for muggles only and mandatory Hogwarts admission for Kneazles.

Though bitter anger had defined much of Holden's young life, as he grew up bit by bit he learned how to release those feelings. It was a hard, painful road, but over time he grew into a healthier young man, though one who still found it immensely difficult to be vulnerable around others. He reconnected with Connor, especially after the two of them had both rejected their father, and for the first time in his life he was able to feel like truly part of a larger family.

Though he never truly understood his sister, Soren took in the discover of the magical world as best he could. With Freya off on her adventures, Soren was very comfortable to step back from the strange things he had learned and go his own way, working as a computer programmer and pretending he had never even heard of witches and wizards.

Daria's fascination with dark magic took her down an inevitable path, leading her to more and more dangerous people. Though she began from a personal conviction that "dark" magic could be harnessed for good, over time Daria's methods and theories became more and more corrupted by the forces around her, and it was unfortunately inevitable that one of her experiments would lead to her young death, leaving more questions than answers behind her.

Fabian had never in a million years expected to settle down, never mind finding himself happy with a single person. But that was exactly what happened, as his playful teasing of Tyler Lee turned into something sincere before he even realised it. Though love wasn't something he really knew how to contend with, over time it became as natural as breathing as Fabian was able to find peace and joy (and plenty of stupid arguments) with Tyler.

There was something oddly freeing for Cornelius when he finally came to terms with his failure to live up to his family's standards. He would never follow in the footsteps of the dozen prestigious Cornelius Seymours before him. He was the end of a century-long line, and that opened up his life to become anything he wanted. That anything turned out to be an assistant, aiding Vanity in her art forgery career, and the odd thrill of independence he felt finding himself on the opposite side of the law to his family.

Marama was happy to leave her messy love life behind when she left Hogwarts, stepping free to try and start fresh in her own way. She chose to follow in her father's footsteps, entering the local fishing community and acting as a kaitiaki for the local kaimoana.

Magic had been... interesting, but Trevvo was nothing but relieved to leave Hogwarts and return to the family farm. While he enjoyed the utility of being able to do some things a bit easier, he found that over time it almost felt like cheating, and he preferred to do things the old-fashioned way. By the time he inherited the family farm, Trev's wand had been in a box in his bedroom for a long time, and it remained there until his first child began showing... unusual abilities.

Working on Accio had shown Dhivya a passion she never expected to find, and despite all the different directions she had been torn by all her hobbies and lessons in her younger years, by the time she graduated Hogwarts Dhivya had already secured a prestigious apprenticeship at a magazine, and working up through the ranks she was able to find herself a good career as a magazine photographer and editor.

Though she did share her family's interest in the esoteric, Charybdis didn't share their standoffish nature at all. While her well of spooky trivia did scare people off at times, Charybdis was eager to make as many friends as she could and have a big, scary social circle full of the people she loved the most.

While she grew up knowing nothing but love from her adoptive father, as she got older and learned about the circumstances of her birth, Anouk became very torn about her identity. It led to particularly difficult emotional struggles as she reached her teens, torn about whether she would ever want to reach out to parents who wouldn't want anything to do with her anyway.

Te Rēweti didn't find his voice until university, when he joined the local poetry society. The first time he tried to perform his poetry in front of an audience he nearly cried, but the supportive community helped him learn how to speak out for himself, and over time he became a well-known poet, and found his true community.

With such a supportive family around him, Tamati had the best start in life possible. He got wisdom and love of life from both of his fathers in equal measure, and found himself popular and well-liked in school. He played Quidditch from second year on with Flavio's help, and spent his whole time at Hogwarts spreading joy and positivity to his classmates.

As terrified as she was to be leaving her parents for Hogwarts, Hinewhaitiri did have a brother waiting to support her, and far more warning than Te Rēweti had had that neither of them were squibs like their father. As a result she had an easier time settling in at Hogwarts, and was able to make some friends and find her place in the world growing up.

Galaxias grew more and more confident around humans with time, and it wasn't long before he was surfacing fully to communicate with students by the lake. Bit by bit he was able to learn faltering English and have conversations. With time he became fully integrated into Hogwarts life; acting as a liason between the shoal and school administration, assisting Care of Magical Creatures professors when teaching about aquatic life, and even developing a relationship with a school staff member in his later life.

Belly was content with the life she found after moving to Aotearoa, integrating into the St. Mungos community well and carving out a niche for her specialty. Over time she facilitated hundreds of transitions and same-sex fertility journeys, helping the magical community and bringing life and joy to all she met.

Though she had grown up seeing her mothers' hesitation about the magical world, Kitri did her best to be prepared when her Hogwarts letter came. With a stiff spine and confident attitude, Kitri didn't have to work hard to stand out or excel, defined by her determination to do anything she set her mind to. While her struggles with her mother at time mirrored her mother's struggles with her own father, Kitri was able to forge her own path and leave Hogwarts with excellent grades and her head held high.

In contrast to her mother, Ocean was brought into a world that showed her nothing but love from day one. She grew up the centre of her family's world, and was a bright, exciteable young woman by the time she was ready for school. Though at times her overconfidence led her to problems, she was a happy and healthy girl throughout her life.

Tadgh's difficult life informed his time at Hogwarts, and though he did his best to make friends, his hot head and independent nature caused plenty of problems at times, to say nothing of his family's total lack of money. Still, for the people he was closest to he became a proudly staunch supporter, aggressively defending his friends through thick or thin, and occasionally bullying them for their own good.
