Gabe chatted up his colleagues at the Staff Table, waiting on a few more students to find their seats. The headmaster rose when the room seemed to balance out. As far as he was concerned, any stragglers could just deal with an audience when they came crashing through the doors.

"Welcome, everyone, to this year's last feast. Enjoy the fruits- and meat, and vegetables, and grains...ahem- of your labor; you've earned them. I would like to thank you all for working hard and making this another fantastic year at Hogwarts New Zealand.

I'm sorry to inform you that I will not be joining you in the fall. In parting, my advice is this: challenge yourselves, but don't forget to have fun. Wrestle some manticores. Listen to mandrakes. Kiss a Dementor. But steer clear of the Forbidden Forest, okay?"

Grinning, Gabe sat as the tables exploded with color. He reached for a drumstick, biting through crunchy skin as he observed the students. Even with all its pranksters, gossip magazines, dangers, and dungbombs, Hogwarts New Zealand wasn't such a bad place to be.

Madlyn sat with the rest of her housemate, last year end of school year had went wrong with her. She had lost her father then and couldn't put herself to be happy that day. That day being the anniversary of today, today she was much more calm about things. it took her couple months, almost a year to finally let her father rest in peace. Sure on the occasion she would be sad, though today she was smiling more with her friends, more with her sister, more with the school entirely. After such a while of talking amongst everyone, the hall went silent. Madlyn turn her head to hear what the headmaster had to say. He was always so calm and welcoming, but it was sad to hear that he would be departing from the school. Madlyn sort of sighed a bit, she'd understand how things goes around here. It shouldn't be a shock when someone leaves, though she was still kind of sad.

The feast continued onward, Madlyn would have to say goodbye to the headmaster at some point, before she leave to go home for the summer break in Ireland. Least there was some good in it, about going home and all. She'd get to see her friend Aiden at some point and then head over to the U.S. to see her cousins over there. Maybe meet up with Mandela in New York to see how's she doing. It's expected to be a good summer break, she hope so. Maybe she'd spend some more times with Briar, feels like they were drifting apart lately. This must be the feeling of growing up and all the changes that comes with it.

Kate was sitting with her fellow housemates at the Hufflepuff table.Everyone was chatting around her but she wasn't in the mood to talk. She was sad that she would be leaving Hogwarts, she loved it here but she had too much going on during the holidays. She was getting more and more nervous as the day of the operation grew nearer. She would have to stay in he hospital for three weeks after and she would be being looked at closely for that period of time and she wasn't looking forward to it but she would be better and that was all that mattered. She had been waiting for this day for so long and now it was finally near.

She looked up when the headmaster rose. She was surprised that he would be leaving but everyone has to go their own way and maybe they like the change. After he had spoken the feast continued and Kate ate what she could making sure to eat in small amounts. After the operation she would be going back to Ireland to meet with all her family and just enjoy the country life. She was going to see some of her old friends too and that would be fun.A lot was going to change and she had a pretty tough year ahead of her but nothing she couldn't handle.

"HECK YES! FOOD!"

Warren shouted in joy as the feast foods sprung up in front of him. He was enjoying his seat at the Hufflepuff table. And had been mindlessly nodding his head as the Headmaster spoke. He didn't even realize when the headmaster mentioned he would be retiring. However, Warren got the deats from his fellow Hufflepuff's.

It was a bit sad, Warren had to admit. However, he never really got to know the headmaster a shame. "I should learn something about that..." he sighed to himself. "Next year I'll make at least one adult friend. Maybe I'll just start a club and have a teacher advisor that should work..."

However, Warren didn't think about that for long. It was all about the food as soon as he saw it. He lept across the table (not literially) and started to scoup up bowls of scalleped potathos, and pumpkin pie. "Anyone see some Chips (French Fries), Gravey, or Cheese?" He asked around sticking his up like prarie dog searching for the foods.

Sara sat at the Ravenclaw table, laughing as they waited for the Headmaster to begin speaking, when he did, it was short and sweet, but she was shocked that he would be leaving. "Hear Hear!" she cheered as he finished, she'd stay clear of Mandrakes and Dementor's, even after his advice. "Three Cheers for Professor Lloyd!" she shouted again, hoping at least some other Ravenclaws would join in with her, she liked to the Headmaster, and it was a shame he would be retiring. She started filling her plate, with Roast chicken, gravy and potatoes. She mashed her potatoes carefully, mixing it with the gravy, and spotted her sister across the hall. They were all worried about Kate, but Sara could tell she was eating, and she'd need to keep her strength with the operation looming ahead of her. however, she was aware that Kate didn't want people lookingh over her shoulder all the time,so, adding some last-minute broccolli to her meal, she began to eat. She swallowed her first mouthful and turned to her neighbour. "This is great!" she exclaimed, grinning. There were a few First Years who couldn't reach the food they wanted, so there was a lot of handing over plates of roast potatoes, and salt and sugar. Sara winked at some other students, who were sitting near her, as they listened to the younger students chatter. She liked the First Years. She finished the meal, happily chatting with her classmates, she couldn't wait to find out what next year would bring.

Minoas cocked his head to see the headmaster as he was sharing a short but nice speech with the students.
As he was listening, he was recounting all those experiences he had already through those past two years.
Like last year's end feast, he was having a bittersweet taste as another year was over but at the same time had managed to progress through another year of his education. He felt sort of bad when the headmaster announced his departure from Hogwarts, although the young lion didn't really know him nor had the opportunity to speak with him. He rolled his eyes with a gulp as he jokingly refered to all those kind of things that they could do except from going to the forbidden forest. Minoas was there last night, having a life changing experience that would make him think twice before breaking any rules again.

He would be more cheerful if the colors that were decorating the hall weren't deep blue but scarlet. Ravenclaw had won again the house cup and Gryffindor was so close to prevent that from happening. Maybe next year. For now the lion decided to enjoy the feast and his steak, thinking only about his upcoming vacations in the Mediterranean.

Jeremy sat at the Ravenclaw table playing with a napkin as he waited for the headmaster to begin his speech so that the food would appear on the table. He was certainly glad that it was nearly time to leave the castle. The year had been incredibly trying and Jeremy was appreciative of the fact that he would be having a bit of a break from studying, quidditch and girls. When he'd come into school at the beginning of the year, he had not guessed that his increased height and the broadening of his shoulders would have led to an increase in female attention. He was still the same Jeremy after all.

When he heard that the headmaster would be leaving, he half-heartedly joined the other Ravenclaws in cheering for the man. He was starving and immediately began to fill up his plate after. Quickly, he stuffed a piece of chicken in his mouth and he suddenly felt much better. Thinking about all of the changes that would come in the next year, Jeremy was set to enjoy this last summer before he graduated. He would be a 7th year and the sole captain of the quidditch team. And, he'd be prepping for his NEWTs. Yes, he would definitely be trying his best to enjoy this summer in the States.

Cyndi only kept the slightest attention on Headmaster Lloyd's last speech. She had already said goodbye to him in his office, and the young woman knew she would miss the man. He'd been an excellent teacher, both when he'd been her actual teacher and as her adviser while he'd been headmaster. Gabriel Lloyd was a good man, and she knew he would enjoy the additional time with his wife and son. Professor Kingsley's brown eyes were trained on another professor, hoping that she could get his attention. For the past few weeks, the professor had watched as Gryffindor's lead on the housepoints grew smaller and smaller until one day she'd awakened and discovered that Gryffindor no longer had a lead at all. Instead, it was Ravenclaw once again secure in the top spot. And, today, the hall was decorated in the too familiar blue of Ravenclaw house.

Realizing that there was no way out of what her own big mouth had gotten her into, Professor Kingsley waited until Professor Lloyd was seated and the students were already eating. Hopefully, no one is paying attention now, she thought to herself as she grudgingly got to her feet. Shooting a scathing look at the man whom she was sure was going to enjoy this entirely too much, Professor Kingsley spoke. "If I might have your attention for a moment" she began in a voice loud enough so he wouldn't claim foul. "I'd like to offer my sincerest congratulations to the Ravenclaws and especially to Professor Spenser for once again securing the House Cup." Cyndi shot a sickly sweet smile over to Jonathan before continuing. " I know that Professor Spenser will keep the cup safe and sound..." until it ends up in my office, she finished silently. Dropping back down into her seat, the professor whispered to the Hufflepuff Head of House whom she was sitting next to, "We cannot let those 'Claws win again next year. This is becoming dreadfully embarrassing."
