As Y13 comes to its close, it's fairly important that you all know what to expect to happen as we transition school years, so here's a quick breakdown.
[ul][li]Graduation
Graduation is open now. Graduates can post accepting their diplomas and whatever, guests can post watching the ceremony and crying their eyeballs out. Whatever. :)

[li]OWLs and NEWTs
Professors should post OWL and NEWT exams as soon as possible. 5th year and 7th year students do all their exams at once, so they need the extra bit of time to really get going on them all. :)
[li]Other Exams
All other exams start on Monday and should close on Wednesday. Marks should be in the gradebook Thursday or Friday of next week. It's a busy week. :)
Students: If a professor hasn't posted an exam you need, PM a member of the site staff and we'll look in to things.
[li]End of the Year Feast
The End of the Year Feast will be posted on Thursday, October 20th
[li]Holiday Forums
Holiday forums will open up to students the day after the End of the Year feast is posted.
[li]Group Promotions
All student users will be promoted to their next year level on Saturday the 22nd of October. (This includes promotions in the gradebook system - so professors it's really important you assign grades before then. ;) )
Graduates will be temporarily placed in an "HNZ Graduate" group until they submit the appropriate group change form. At some later date any outstanding users in the HNZ graduates group will, by default, be dumped in to the "Members" group.

[li]Sorting
Yes indeed. Sorting is coming! When exactly will it be? Probably Sunday, October 23rd. Maybe not. Look for the full sorting announcement some time soon. :)[/li][/ul]

I think that's about it!

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to voice them. :)
