Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.
OOCOut of Character:
All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
Oh, and the duel begins now. Also, if someone doesn't post after 12 hours, then they are disqualified.

Graeme was feeling really happy about things, he was definitely looking forward the the duelling club. He had loved being a member of the SDA, but up until now he had not really had any opportunity to really try it out in person. Which was why he was just so looking forward to what this would bring him. He was really eager about it, and so when the time finally came, and he was in front of his opponent, Graeme smiled and couldn't wait to get started. Without much hesitation, he pointed his wand at the other person, and then "Rictusempra" He felt pretty powerful when the spell shot from his wand and directly to his opponent.

Tommy nodded respectfully to his opponent, planning to destroy him. The Slytherin was not here to try, he was entirely set on winning. It wasn't like his house couldn't use the points boost. A spell was quickly shot his way, forcing him to take action. "Protego!" There was no way in Hell he was going to be standing there laughing. He would rather take an incendio. "Expelliarmus!"

Graeme found it great fun that this was the first time that they were actually being able to duel. He wasn't looking to win exactly, more to have a bit of fun and try his best. If he won great, if this slytherin won, then that was also great. As his first spell was easily deflected by the other boy, he very quickly realised that a spell had been shot back at him. "Protego" he said almost insinctively. Then, after a small thought, shot back with the Knee-reversing hex, hopeful that it would manage a hit.

His opponent seemed to be having fun, and so was Tommy. He liked this, it was far more interesting than reading like he always did. His spell was blocked, and soon another was thrown at him. Still being quite balanced, and rather expecting return fire, he continued. "Protego!" Before deciding to try and finish this quickly. He flourished his wand once more. "Stupefy!"

Graeme was always looking for ways to gain points for Hufflepuff house, but he was pretty happy in this, to just play around with him. He didn't mind losing, it was all a bit of fun, and Graeme would hold few hard feelings. He watched, as his spell was quite easily blocked, and another shot back at him. He just barely managed to dodge it before shotting back with a small flourish of his wand, "Tarantallegra" While this spell was not the best spell to win, this was still early, and Graeme liked having fun.

Tommy jumped out of the way of the spell just in time, but managed to land evenly. The Slytherin was not one for strenuous offensive spells, but knew that he could not play defence, and he had very little chances of doing so, although he had been slowly stepping backwards because it was quite clear that his opponent had the upper hand at the moment. He pointed his wand at his opponent once more, and used the Knee-reversing Hex.

Graeme was really enjoying this, however, perhaps his attention was just else where. Since, he had only just noticed his opponent shot the spell at him, and was unable to protect himself. The spell caused his knees to reverse. He found it incredibly difficult to stand, only barely able to fire back at the other boy. "Petrificus Totalus" was the spell he managed to think of, before he seemed to stumble to the ground, he didn't think he would be able to continue, so quickly, he muttered, "Finite" to end the spells effects on his knees.

Tommy flourished his wand as the spell came towards him, "Protego!" His opponent was unbalanced from his previous spell, but had managed to fix himself. He then aimed once more at the other boy, deciding to use the same spell the boy had just used. "Pertrificus Totalis!"

As expected, Graeme's spell was incredibly easily blocked, which wasn't great news, but, it at least allowed him a little bit of time to get to his feet properly. A spell was shot back at him, which Graeme was barely about to protect himself from "Protego" he said, with a sigh of relief. This was good fun! "Stupefy" he shot back quickly, knowing he was going to be running low on energy soon. Graeme realised he needed a lot more practice

"Protego!" His opponent seemed to be having some trouble, and while Tomas refused to allow it to show, he was becoming tired. He had not been caused to slow down, but he knew that he had to stop with the little spells, and knock this boy down before he was backed into a corner. "Stupefy!"

Graeme knew that Tomas was stronger than him. He had to be smarter than this other boy, but Graeme was sure he wasn't. He smiled slightly, despite all of that he was definitely having fun. It was tricky but he liked it. He barely managed to dodge out of the way of the spell that had been shot at him, though Graeme prompty fired back, "Rictusempra"

Tommy, having been caught up a little in the moment, was hit by the spell cast at him. At first, he had no idea what spell had been thrown up him, but soon found out as he broke out in hysterics. He had never laughed this much in his life - he rarely laughed to begin with. This was not a situation that called for laughter. He managed a quick finite, but his cheeks were sore, as was his chest. But he quickly returned attention to his opponent. It was one mistake, and he was not looking for a repeat.

Graeme watched as his shot was successful, though the boy laughing pretty hard made it pretty funny for Graeme, he found himself laughing along, though he was sure this boy probably didn't appreciate that. It wasn't in a particularly bad way, it was just funny. However, when no spell was shot back at him, he wondered if the boy was alright. "You okay?" he called over, concerned about it, not sure if he should continue. So instead of shooting over a much harder spell, he just cast the Cheering charm at his opponent.

His opponent seemed quite nice, friendly even. The least he could do was return the favour - even if he felt a little sickened by all the laughing. "I'm fine. Thank you for your concern." He then flourished his wand once more when another spell came at him. "Stupefy!" The collision caused some smoke to break out, but otherwise the Slytherin was fine, and allowing himself to recover a little more before he risked relying on a shield to protect him.
Action(s) Taken: Cast spell in defence
Point Changes: -5
Points Remaining: 85

Graeme smiled when he heard that the boy he was fighting assure Graeme that he was alright. It was pretty easy to just think about hurting the opponent, but they were in the same year. It was easier for him to be concerned than unconcerned. his spell was met by a large amount of smoke, which clouded his vision. It was because of this that he wasn't able to see the spell which came right for him, and therefore stop it. Due to the spell it meant that he was instantly knocked back and out for the count.

Action(s) Taken: Be hit
Point Changes: +15
Points Remaining: 90

Professor Styx saw that the duel was over. He got onto the platform, waved his wand toward Graeme Fergussonto revive him. "Tomas Hayes is the winner."
