With his wand at the ready, Edward signaled for the next two opponents to step forward and take their positions. He addressed both seventh years with firm encouragement. “Well done for making it to the final. You should know the drill by now. I expect to see good sportsmanship from both of you. When I give the signal, you will bow to one another and begin. Wands at the ready.” He looked between both of them before nodding. “You may begin.”

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels. Duelers cannot cast spells at the spectators or face disqualification.

Terror. F#cking Terror. Elio couldn't believe he'd managed to survive long enough to potentially be wiped out by that guy. Mikael's "friend" or whatever the hell he was. Still, he admired the guy, he was good at duelling, maybe Elio could learn something. He certainly wasn't going to give up without a fight, if he could wind this, he was going to try. Mikael would demand he win, but he'd made a special effort to avoid his boyfriend today if not to cause himself distraction, a habit far to easy when Mikael was around. He bowed as he stood on the platform, before sending his first spell. A non verbal expelliarmus.

How Terror managed to make it to the finals, he was not exactly sure or surprised, but now he was faced against Mikael's boyfriend. Terror bowed to his opponent, and took his stance. A nonverbal disarming spell. Sort of boring. He blocked it with a silent protego. He didn't want to start out too violent yet. He sent out a nonverbal Impedimentia.

Elio was still getting hang of the nonverbal spells, but he'd managed to get through to this round so he was feeling at least half way decent about his effort. It would still remain to be seen if he would make it through to the end though, given his opponents had gotten steadily more difficult, and now of course he was up against Terror - still what a name. He blocked the nonverbal spell, after it had taken him a second to know for sure what spell it was. He cast a nonverbal jelly fingers jinx, hoping it might catch him out and he'd drop his wand.

Terror blocked the spell as his mind worked through the spells he could do without speaking. No, screw it. He decided to just go all out. He sent out an Expulso, verbally, to make it a strong one.

Bloody hell. He quickly blocked the spell, not surprised he was trying to blow him up, and retaliated with Duro.

Terror's lips curled into a smirk when Elio tried to use Duro on him. They were warned in charms to not use this on another human being, but then again, they probably needed to use common sense with some of the spells that they were using now. He used a stronger Protego shield just in case, and intoned clearly, "Deprimo!" His wand quickly pointed at the floor at Elio's feet.

Elio jumped to the side in a roll as Terror blow a hole into the stage at his feet, before throwing out expelliarmus at him.

Oh, if he kept doing that to the stage, would Elio dance more, or just no longer have a platform to stand on? Terrror swiftly blocked the incoming spell, and sent out another Deprimo to destroy the rest of the platform so that Elio had nothing else left to dance to.

Elio levitated some of the debris from the last blast and jumped up onto it, using it to gain some higher ground from Terror.

Elio was clever, he would give him that. But now the lad might have been on the defense. He smirked as he aimed at the part of the debris that Elio was floating on, and sent out a verbal Expulso.

Elio didn't have anywhere to go with the trip jinx and he fell straight off of the debris he'd been standing on, hitting the ground with a loud thud and a groan. He quickly stood up, vowing to get checked out in the infirmary before he went back to class today. He limped slightly forward and then cast a wordless expelliarmus.

Terror smirked as Elio fell from the hovering debris. He might have been injured slightly, but that was not enough for him. He wanted something more. He blocked the disarming charm just in time, and cast a forceful Reducto.

Terror was becoming a little tired, but he was not about to show it, or give up either. This was the final battle, and he wanted to win it. He barely blocked the spell in time, and cast a Diffindo at the lad.

With his limp, he wasn't able to get out of the way fast enough, and the diffindo ripped into his calm. He yelped in pain, before casting confringo at Terror.
