Domino Effect-

"Until 2 weeks? Are you leaving?" Alois asked Amelia, a bit taken back by this sudden information. He wouldn't want her to go, but if she needed to, then he cannot really stop her can he? "Anyhow, if you're free next monday, then we can probably meet up, same place?" He continued on. If Amelia was leaving the place, then, all he could od was to enjoy every moment that he can possibly spent with her. At least, he can still talk to her as long as she's still available.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry, this is a little lame.. :)

Amelia smiled. "Yeh, im going to New Zealand, unless i have a very good reason to stay here." She said, looking into his eyes now and wondering if she would dare to change her plans for a boy. Thinking that she probably would, she carried on walking. "Next monday. Well its Saturday today, so do you mean in 2 days, or the week after?" She asked, joking around now. They continued to walk now, hand in hand, in the growing darkness. Reaching the start of the shopping centre, she sighed sadly, realising that she only had his company for about 200 more metres. Slowing her walking slyly, she looked down at the floor, thinking about what she would do if he convinced her to stay in Europe for the holiday. She desperately wanted to meet his family, especially his mother, who seemed to sound amazing.

(OOC: Dont' worry, its better than most of mine :p )

"Can we find that good reason then?" Alois said with a wink, placing his free hand behind his head as he surveyed the area that they were currently in. There were not that much of passer-bys already, probably because it was becoming rather late. "In 2 days of course, I mean, since you said that you'll be moving in two weeks, we should at least try to enjoy and have fun, we won't have much time.." He said with a smile, looking at Amelia with gentle eyes. They were already nearing their destination and it would be the time to say their goodbyes soon. "If you have time, I can introduce you to my mum as well..." He then added on, stopping in front of a huge and luxurious hotel, the one where Amelia stays in.

Amelia smiled at him. "Im sure we can." She said, returning his wink. She nodded as he suggested meeting up with his mum. It sounded fun for her. Reaching the hotel, she opened the door and stepped inside the foyer, with Alois still attached to her hand. She would try and prospone their parting for as long as possible if she could. Planning on at least getting a proper kiss out of the evening, she smiled lazily at the receptionist, a boy about 17, who blushed and looked away. "Muggle." She muttered to Alois, shrugging as she pointed around the hotel that was run by muggles. All the boys seemed to blush when she was around and she found it funny, especially when they ended up making detours around her floor in the mornings when she left her room for breakfast. "Would you like to come for a drink? They have a good room service upstairs." She said, realising that if it was interpreted in a certain way, she could get seriously embarrassed. But, Amy had never been one to backtrack on her words, no matter whether they were harsh or rude. Hoping that he would ignore her and understand that she just wanted to get out of the stares of the people in the entrance, she stood there, close to him.

Alois cannot help but be amazed by how luxurious and elegant the hotel was, even though he had stayed there a lot of times before, he still cannot shake the feeling of being in wonder, that place after all, was run by muggles. Letting himself be led by Amelia, he smiled knowingly as he noticed the receptionist, a boy, blushed when she talked to her. That cannot be help though, she did have that effect on people. Everyone was staring at her now, the population of boys of course, and few of the ladies there were glancing at him as well, feeling a little intimidated and uncomfortable at that, Alois immediately nodded when Amelia offered if he wanted to come for a drink. "Sure, if you say so..." He said, holding her hands and starting to make his way upstairs, "they're quite intimidating aren't they?" He inquired softly, talking about the stares that they had just received a few moments ago.

Amelia nodded and took his hand, leading him up the stairs. "Yeh, they can be. Especially when they follow you around." She said, doing a dramatical shudder and laughing. "Creepy." She laughed. As they walked up the stairs, Amy hoped that Alois wouldn't think her mega rich to afford a place like this. Looking around, as if she had only just noticed the grandeur of the place, she realised with a jolt that it was very glamourous and expensive. There were hanging chandeliers and posh paintings everywhere. No wonder the boys found her fascinating, she was a beautiful girl, who was fashionable and was staying in the richest hotel in the city. Sighing as she realised how stupid this was, she decided that if she went to New Zealand, she would find somewhere less imposing. Ascending the next 3 floors, Amy found herself outside her door, number 172. Smiling, she reached into her bag and got out the card. Swiping it in the door, she wondered if Alois would be use to the muggle ways. She was getting better with it all, but still found the lift scary and so tended to walk the 4 floors up. Pushing the door open, she found herself staring into a tidy, clean and big bedroom. The double bed took up most of the space and seemed to be the centre feature of the room. There was a plasma tv on the wall, with a dvd player underneath. Ignoring all of it, she walked over to the kettle and switched it on, a habit more than a gesture for a drink. Throwing her bag carelessly onto the bed, she smiled at Alois and sat down on an armchair, holding the room-service hard up so he could choose a drink.

Alois laughed along with Amelia as she stated how creepy it was to be followed by her stalkers and admirer, true enough, it really was. After all, who wouldn't be creep out if wherever you'll go, there would be someone looking at you, or worse, staring and gawking. It really is intimidating. "They really are creepy, can't blame them though, anyways, you're fully capable of protecting yourself from them, and well, since I am your friend already right? I'll protect you if I needed to..." He said with a heartfelt chuckle, looking in marvel at the place. Really, no matter how many times he had been there already, the glamor and the exquisiteness of the place truly captivates him.

Noticing that they had used the stairs instead of the elevator, Alois cannot help but smirk, not because he finds it funny, but rather, s something adorable. "There's a lift that can be used, but if you want it to be this way, it's fine..." He said, he's been used with the muggle ways already,, what with his parents being business associates with some of them. Entering the Amelia's room, Alois sat down on a nearby armchair. "Is it really fine for me to stay here? " He asked with a smile, wondering whether he was invading the girl's personal privacy by just going into her room.

Amelia smiled. "Yeh i know. But the lift is scary. It use to creak and im not too good when i am confined into small spaces." She admitted, laughing at her own stupidity as she entered the room. She looked at him, wondering why he was asking. "Yes. I offered, didn't I. Anyway, I would be alone other wise and i can't face going downstairs again. You would think that i am a circus attraction." She said, giggling again but sighing at the same time. It got boring for her, especially when the boy chasing was hardly good looking or any fun to talk to. "Your company is nice." She said, unsure whether it was the right thing to say in the moment. She pulled her chair closer to his, reading the room-service menu. She was very close to him, and closed her eyes, remembering when he had kissed her on her forehead. She opened them again and looked up at him. She heard the kettle click off and the moment had gone. Sighing, she stood up. "If you don't want a drink, then i will just make a coffee." She said, pulling out a mug and pouring in the right amount of granules. Holding up another mug, she raised her eyebrows at him, asking if he wanted one as well.

"You're presence is nice as well... What I mean is, you're really fun to talk to.." Alois said, chuckling as Amelia moved her chair closer to his. It was rather adorable for her to do that, it makes him feel important. Amelia was the first person to ever make him feel like that, sure enough, he had met a lot of girls before her, yet, all they ever did was flirt, not actually talk and try to know him. He's fed up of all those things actually, he wanted a friend, a real one...Actually, Amelia is a very special friend for him, though they had just recently met. It was just that, her presence makes him want to protect her, makes him want to make her smile and laugh. He would surely hate to see her cry.

Looking at Amelia as she closed her eyes, Alois cannot help but to think that she really was like an angel, she had that fair face, but not just that goody two shoes, Amelia was actually feisty if he may say so, she was really interesting, a one of a kind. Smiling as she once again opened her eyes, Alois patted her once again on the head. "Sorry if you find this gesture offending.. I just can't help it.." He said with a laugh, wondering whether the girl was feeling insulted every time he would pat her on the head, well, most girls do, at least, those that he had met before. "A coffee? Sure, I'll have one..." He said with a nod as the girl offered him a cup of hot coffee.

Amelia smiled at him again, she was reassured when he commented on her presence being nice. She felt better about their whole meeting, not just like she was a time filler, the same as he wasn't either. She let him pat her on her head and just smiled, shrugging casually. It was starting to irritate her slightly, making her feel a little undermined, but she didn't mind if it made him feel better. She passed him over his coffee, realising that it was only 1 year before she could do magic out of school. She was looking forward to this change, happy that she would finally be able to defend herself and feel secure with travelling around. Of course, in her life plan, she had decided that soon she would like to settle down with a boyfriend or maybe even a husband, depending on how it all went for her. Shaking herself away from her thoughts, she smiled again at him and sat down, wondering what else they should do. They had chatted for a while and she knew a little about him. Deciding that this was a good place to start, she sipped her coffee. "Tell me more about yourself. Please." She added, not wanting to sound rude, but still wanting to get her way.

"About myself? Sure, where do you want me to start?" Alois asked, sure, he's very open about his life and his family, but when it comes to talking about his self, he's not really sure about where to start. He can talk about random things that could probably not be able to satisfy whatever it is that the girl had wanted to know. "What do you want to know about me?" He added, taking a sip of his coffee. "This is quite good Amy.." He complimented her, tapping his finger at the armchair as he waited for her to answer him. He could surely tell her everything that she wanted to know about him, he doesn't have anything to hide after all.

Amelia smiled. She knew that some boys didn't like to talk about their lives, preferring to listen than talk. But sometimes, it was nice for her to be able to listen, instead of dominating the conversation. She could sense a nice even balance with Alois, something that didn't come with every guy she met. "Everything." She said softly. "Your family? Your friends? Your school? Your ideas?" She prompted, wanting to know at least something about all of these areas. She smiled at his fingers as he tapped them on the side of the armchair. She moved her hand up and stroked one of them quietly, thinking. It wasn't done intentionally, more out of curiosity, but it felt fine and she wondered if she was pushing him too far.

"My family? Well, you do know something about my mom and my dad already right? Have I ever told you that my mom was just like you? She's a part veela too..." Alois said, smiling gently as he talked about his mother once more, she really is beautiful, that's why his father was very much protective of he. "You already know that she's a fashion designer right? And my dad, he owns this software company, you know the one that makes program for computers, the one that is very popular with the muggles?" He continued on, wondering whether the girl had understood what a software means, though being a wizard, his father enjoys working with muggles, but even so, he's father is really strict. "I'm an only child you see...spoiled I guess.." He added with a laugh, thinking of his enormous room in their house, being an only child, he was given everything that he wanted to have.

Taking a deep breath, Alois tried to think of things that he could say about his friends, "My friends? Well, most of them are guys, and they have various personalities, and right now, they leave me hanging, too busy with their studies and relationships, I'm quite thankful of that for now though, after all, if they didn't leave me sleeping at my room, then I wouldn't have gone out and met you..." Alois said, shrugging as he talked about his friends, "I study at Durmstrang by the way, fifth year" He continued on, smiling as he felt Amy's hand on his, it felt quite comfortable and perfect though. "How about you Amy, care to tell me something about yourself?"

OOCOut of Character:
Alois had been accepted as a part-veela, so I' m just trying to squeeze that idea in.. :D

Amelia smiled and nodded, taking all of this information in. She was content with the information provided and was slightly shocked when the flow of words ended. "What do you want to know then?" She asked, playing the same game as him now.

(OOC: Thats fine :D congrats xD . Sorry for the terrible post, i really don't have many ideas at the moment of what to do. Im sure more will come in time :p )

"Hmm. anything will do, your family, friends, schools, idea?" Alois replied, saying the exact words that the girl had said before. "Anything that you would want to tell me, I'll accept that.." He added, smiling serenely at the girl.
OOCOut of Character:
Don't worry about it

Amelia smiled. "Ok, here goes." She said, before taking a deep breath and reminding herself to talk in English not French. "So you know that i don't live with my parents. They own their own linkage of muggle hotels, thats were the money comes in. They were hardly ever at home for me, so i left telling them that they didn't care. They didn't understand it at the time, but i think they feel bad now. My grandma was a veela and she still is alive, she lives in the mountains in Russia with her husband. When im not at school or travelling, i stay with my cousin Jack Evans who is also a half-veela. He is like the brother i never had and is 2 years older than me. He is quite protective of me, but recently started dating girls and has now forgotten about me. His parents work with my parents to run the hotels. I am too, an only child so i get spoiled and most of my parents earnings come to me. They feel bad that i don't want to live with them anymore, so they assume that bribing me will help win me back. But it won't." She paused here, to check that Alois was taking it all in. She didn't normally open up to boys, but she felt that Alois was a nice guy and would keep her secrets for her. "Anyway, enough about my family. Friends? Well, i know im boasting here, but im supposedly 'popular' in Beauxbatons. Because i am a half-veela and don't find my studies hard, i get a lot of spare time and people hang around me. I didn't ever ask for this. My best friends are Nathalie Blanchard and a few others who i hang around with. School? I go to Beauxbatons and am starting my 6th year in September, which is OWL year in our school. Ideas? Well i want to travel. I want to settle down in life when i have finished school, find a guy and get a job. I don't think i could work at the ministry, but i am thinking of maybe opening a small shop." She said. Finishing her sprawl about her life, she finished the remains of her coffee and put her cup down. She smiled at Alois, hoping that the info hadn't been too much.

Alois prepared himself for anything that Amelia would say, and as she started telling him about her self, Alois had realized how hard it had been for her. He had grown to admire her more, seeing how string she was despite of all the hardships that she's been through. "Didn't it ever crossed your mind to, well, you know, go back to your parents?" He asked with a gentle tone, knowing that the subject was a really sensitive one for Amelia, he didn't want to depress her further, and he certainly didn't want her to be angry at him. "I do know the feeling of having people around, it's quite annoying sometimes, but I'm used to it.." He said when Amelia talked about her friends. True enough, a male-veela is not as charming as a female one, but he still had this tendency to attract the opposite gender if ever he would put some effort into it. "I'm quite sure that you'll be able to accomplish what you want in your life, you're a pretty strong woman after all.." He then said with a gentle smile as he stroke a hair out of Amelia's face. 'Thank you for sharing all of these with me.." He added with a grateful tone, happy that the girl seemed to trust him enough for her to share her life stories with him.

Amelia smiled and shrugged. "Im glad that you listened. I needed to tell someone, and i think i just found the perfect listener." She said, smiling elegantly. She let him brush the hair out of her face. Before she knew what she was doing, she leaned forward slightly, but not a noticeable distance. She found his touch on her face relaxing, soothing almost. She smiled at him and looked around the room. Alois was very good looking, and from what he said, he had the same slight trait as his mother with being part-veela. "It crossed my mind. But they wouldn't really think much of it. They don't understand me. And anyway, if i went back, i wouldn't have met you." She said, using the same line as he had. She smiled again, this time not in her usual way, but in the way of a half-veela with her full beauty shining through. She didn't normally do this, and wondered what she was doing. Going along with what she felt she needed to do, she breathed in deeply.

(OOC: To kiss or not to kiss, that is the question :p )

"I'm glad to listen about you as well, I'm happy that you trust me.." Alois said with a gentle smile, feeling really happy to have met Amelia. As she leaned forward, Alois wasn't entirely sure what to do, truth to be told, he hadn't really kissed a girl in the lips before, it was always on the cheeks. "If you would somehow want to return to them, I'll be more than happy to accompany you.." He added with a soothing tone, thinking how elegant and beautiful Amelia was, not just physically but with her personality as well. It was a rare find really.
OOCOut of Character:
Indeed, indeed.. :D

Amelia smiled. "Thats really nice Alois, you are the first to offer that before. But, they just don't understand me and truth be told, we don't really get on that well now." She admitted, remembering the last time they had met each other in France by accident. They had argued and Amy had left in a hurry. She didn't want to be near them again until they actually made an effort to care for their only child whom they seemed to ignore. Even when she was a child, they would have friends over every evening and she would have to dress up. They would show her off almost as a doll and then send her to bed, to sort herself out. She hated them now, and she felt angry at them now. Washing her thoughts away, she turned back to Alois who seemed unsure what to do. She wouldn't do the kiss first, because it never worked that way in her mind. She brushed a hair out from his face, encouraging him to just do what was needed to be done.

"It would take time, time heals all wounds, that's how I see it.." Alois said, he knew that mending the broken ties between Amelia and her parents would be areally tough job, but he decided that he wanted to try it, it would be really great if they would somehow get back together as a family. Looking at Amelia as she brushed a hair out of his face, he felt a little nervous, which is not like him at all, he didn't know what had gotten to him, really.
OOCOut of Character:
maybe they should kiss at their next meeting? OR should it really be on this topic? :D

(OOC: Its up to you, you have the male character. :p Surprise me :D )

Amelia smiled and nodded, feeling that however nice Alois was being, he didn't quite understand where she was coming from. She knew that she didn't have the patience to try and heal the relationship, because it would end up one sided only. She would put all the effort in, and still get rejected. No, she was better off as she was. Nothing would convince her, nothing would change her mind. It was almost as if she now didn't want to get to know her parents better, because they hadn't made any effort to get to know her. She sighed and looked away. Picking up the coffee cups, she stood up and walked over to the sink, stacking them next to the other stuff for when the room service came along. "If you really want to meet them though...." She started, trailing off as random tears pricked her eyes. She hadn't felt sad about her parents for 3 years now, ever since she left them. She had put up a protective shield, stopping herself from getting hurt. But it was almost as if Alois had broken the shield. She turned away from him, not wanting him to think her pathetic.

Alois followed Amelia with his gaze as she stood up. he could see the crytal tears forming on her eyes, and being who he was, it was his belief that girls should never ever cry, for him, a girl's tear is like a diamond, it should not be wasted. Standing up, he followed her to where she was and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "you don't need to force yourself Amy.." He whispered gently, knowing that the topic was a very delicate subject to the girl. "It's alright to cry though, but you know, a smile fits you better.." He then added, raising his hand up and wiping away the tears on the girl's eyes. It pains him to see someone like that, especially this important friend of his.

(OOC: Sorry, it has to be done.... :jesse: )

Amelia smiled and felt a warm sensation flood her from where he put his hand on her shoulder. She nodded, making more tears fall and quickly wiped them away. She didn't know what to say, Alois was good and kind and he cared for her. She wasn't sure whether they were just friends or going to be something more. She span around slowly, in such a way that she ended up entwined in his arms, close to his face. She lifted her hands up, and moved a piece of hair off his forehead. She smiled, her best smile and stroked his hair slightly, wondering what would happen next. It was almost as if she didn't know what she was doing, and had now ended up in some guys arms, in her hotel room. From an outside view, it could look strange, but she knew the long journey they had been on in such a small time.

Alois had seemed to be frozen in place when he felt Amelia in his arms. It was rather rush and he wasn't sure what to do. However, looking at Amelia, Alois cannot help but to smile. She was someone whom Alois admire really much, not just the looks, but her attitude, determination, everything really. But still, Alois knew that he shouldn't get too far with her, he must respect her no matter what. Since they had just met the early morning, Alois knew better not to rush anything. He wouldn't want to hurt the girl. Touching her cheek, Alois cannot help but to smile once more. Words cannot express the things that he wanted to say.
OOCOut of Character:
I'm not really that good with things like this.. :D haha
