DETENTION for the Bang Bang Baby crew

Aries had no animosity to any member of the group here, a fight was a fight. You just got on with it and got over it. It was a way to blow off steam, nothing else. Why people brought more issues than necessary in to the whole thing was beyond him but they were after all teenagers, with the woes of the world on their shoulders or so it seemed to many of them.
He listened as the professor began to speak again and glanced down as five scrolls appeared. He hoped he got to pair up with Fenton or Andromeda at least, he could be guaranteed a bit of fun. But soon groaned a little as it was made clear they would not be choosing who got to pair with who for detention.

(((Just a reminder for the group, Blake will be MIA for this because of RL dealings, but we have permission to minorly godmode his presence for the detention. Assume in your posts that he has arrived and is keeping his mouth shut for a change. ;) Just no making him do anything out of character or outrageous. )))

Lily watched as Blake approached the group and stood apart from everyone as much as he could. Just the sight of the fading bruises on his face made her have to fight back tears. She wanted desperately to run to him and beg his forgiveness yet again, to make him understand that what Kat said about her and Sumner was not true, and to find out how he knew about Ford. Didn't he realize she was trying to dull the pain of losing him? Trying anything she could to make him realize she wanted him back? Wanted to be with him forever? Her eyes trained on his face until she heard Professor Rowann speak, then she turned them to rest on her and the scrolls. She waited anxiously to find out who she would be paired with. She really hoped it was Sumner or Andy. She wasn't sure if she would be able to handle being paired with Blake, since she was sure he wanted to kill her for last night.

Professor Lloyd nodded at Lola and took her stepping back as his cue. "When I call your names, please step forward, give me your wands, and wait," he instructed. "Group One... Katalina Vanderhol and Lily Potter." He did not waste any time as he took their wands, placed them on the ground next to him, and snapped a bracelet around Katalina's left and Lily's right wrists. It glowed for a moment then faded into dull normalcy. "These bands will assure that both you and your partner stay together. Don't try to remove them, you won't be able to." He smirked. This was going to be a good detention.

"Group two, Chace Harker and Sumner Reine. Group three, Aries Centauri and Trevor Davies. Group four, Fenton Longestine and Ashton Gordon. Group five, Andromeda Fiorelli and Crispin Cold." He removed each pairing of their wands and bound them together. "You may now pick up your scrolls and enter the forest. No magic is to be used. If you're caught using wandless magic," he glanced pointedly at the seventh years, who had been bound on their wand hands on purpose, "You'll be serving detentions until this year is over."

He watched as each group entered the forest. This was going to be interesting. They'd be in there all night if they couldn't be grown up enough to cooperate.

Chace scowled at both professors when his partner was announced. He didn't really have a reputation to uphold, so he didn't care what they thought of his attitude. Much. Glaring at Sumner, he snatched the second list with his bound hand and in an instant both boys had disappeared. This had to be the worst punishment ever.

Lily looked up as Professor Lloyd called her forward at the same time as Katalina. Once she realized who she was grouped with, and even worse, bound to, she groaned. Knowing that it was better to just get the work done and over with, she walked over and picked up the scroll with her bound hand. Holding it out to her former friend, she spoke evenly, "Let's go and get this over with." Not quite sure what to expect, she waited for the other hand to touch the scroll and activate the port key so they could get this done.

"Sumner Reine," he shook Fenton's hand and grinned. It'd been a fun fight, one he wouldn't mind repeating. He was about to say more when the professors began their spiel. He sighed then bit back a curse. Stuck with Chace. Bloody hell. Then winced as Chace jerked their bound hands, sending pain shooting through his shoulder. "Motherf-" he disappeared as the portkey was activated.

Crispin nodded, a small grin playing on his features as his roommate addressed him. At least one of them wasn't angry at him. It was a start. He didn't think this detention would be too bad, maybe some menial labor. It wasn't until his hand was bound with Andy's that he realized it wasn't going to be bad; it was going to be sheer torture. "Let's go." He grabbed the scroll and they were off.

Ashton really didn't care who he was stuck with for the detention. It wasn't like he really had an issue with any of them, he just didn't want to see his roommate go down like he did. Watching Lily and the Ravenclaw boy that had been pounding on Blake, he wondered just was going on between them. He knew Blake and Lily were over, but this whole fight went to prove that Blake was far from over Lily. Ashton wondered if there was any way to get them back together or if things were so broken they could never be fixed.

Soon he heard his name and walked forward to be bound to the Gryffindor that was fighting then night before. "Ok. Let's get this over with," he said to the guy, picking up the scroll and holding it out to him.

Andromeda heard what they had to do and sighed, taking out both her wands though she had been tempted to only give up one. She placed it down on the ground with the others grimacing that she had to go anywhere with Crispin and shackled to him as well. Raising her arm she felt the bracelet lock and as Crispin took hold of the scroll they got sucked through the port key.

Aries didn't know this bloke Trevor that he had gotten saddled with but didn't really care. He stepped forward dropped his wand and then it clicked on him what Professor Rowann had said to Andy. The blasted full moon, he began to chuckle as the bracelet was placed on their wrists looking over to the Slytherin boy and wanting to laugh even louder. They would be up against the clock more so than anyone else, he gave her a wink then making sure the other boy was ready picked up the scroll. No sooner had he done so than he felt as if he were being sucked down through a narrow tube.

Professor Rowann had noted that Andromeda had taken either no notice of her warning or had simply chosen not to let the others be aware of it. Perhaps she should have been more subtle but that was so not like Lola. She quirked an eyebrow at Aries Centauri as he chuckled putting down his wand and then turned to smile at Blake Zepline. With each of the pairs disappearing she tapped her wand again.

"Are you wondering why you have no partner Mr. Zepline? Why we are a scroll short?" she paced again back and forth, back and forth, "Well from what we can ascertain, you were the instigator in this whole caper and for that you get a special attention. In fact you get to choose your own detention. You can scrub from top to bottom the hoops on both ends of the quidditch pitch or have 50 points taken from Slytherin. What will it be? I must be clear on this Mr. Zepline, all of Slytherin will be made aware of who and why they have points missing."

Fenton groaned when he was paired with Ashton and wanted to say he'd take the other Slytherin instead but knew they didn't get a choice. He tossed his wand to the ground, frowning at the other guy as he picked up the scroll and held it out to Fenton. It was then Fenton clicked as well about what day it actually was, as his hand closed about the scroll. The suction was something he would never get used to as both of them were sucked through the portal to end up Merlin only knew where.

Blake had barely gotten a good night's sleep, and as he tossed and turned on his bed, images of Lily and Sumner mercilessly tortured him. But as the night began to fade slowly, and sleep was finally graced upon him, Blake let the distorted images of nothing cloud his dreams as he unconsciously fought to block out everything bad.
For a few seconds, Blake awoke to the peace of his mind's slow recollection. The memories of the previous night were buried away, along with Lily and all she had done to him. But the bliss of his temporary ignorance was short lived, and soon he found himself staring at the imaginary blue eyes that haunted him in his every waking moment. Life was truly unfair.
Sitting up, Blake winced at the pain that overcame him as he moved his sore body. Looking around the dorm at his friend's empty beds, Blake rubbed his eyes. He supposed they were all heading down to their scheduled detention. How could he have been an idiot to get into a fight with anyone? He did not only put his prefect's badge or his house's chances of winning the cup again this year on the line, he put his friends into a position where they were being punished for his actions, his mistakes.
Slowly, Blake got out of bed, then washed and dressed himself. Today was going to be a long day, and there were severe consequences he had to pay for his stupidity. Still, he could not help but secretly blame Lily. If she hadn't made him jealous, hadn't made him angry, he would not have blown off at her. He would not have then gotten his ass kicked by Sumner, nor needed to have his friends come to his rescue. He could not remember much from the fight, having gone out not long after Ashton rushed to his defense. But he had heard from Chace after returning from the Hospital Wing the night before that he and Trevor and Crispin were facing the same detention as him. He'd wanted to thank them for coming to his aid, for having his back when he needed them. But the words had evaded him then, and he'd been left speechless. Now, as he rethought the whole situation, he knew how grateful he was to his friends, even if they too had something to gain from bashing in Sumner's face. Oh, how he wished he could have seen Sumner go down.

Lily standing next to Sumner was the first thing Blake noticed, and it was all he needed to want to start a fight all over again, in the middle of detention. The conversation around him provided a distraction though, and the visible bruises he saw on Sumner made him feel slightly better.
Scrolls. Five to be shared between eleven people, this would prove interesting. Blake heard the list called out and barely registered that his name had not been called, until, two by two, everyone disappeared. Except him.

"Are you wondering why you have no partner Mr. Zepline? Why we are a scroll short?" Professor Rowann intoned at Blake.

He shrugged, indifferent. He wasn't stupid enough to think that he wasn't going to get a punishment, or even a less severe one than the others. He assumed that they all blamed him, and he was correct.
Blake stood solid, rooted to the ground beneath him. He wanted to scoff, to tell the professor that he was not the instigator and that the person responsible was the one bastard named Sumner who did not know how to mind his own fecking business. But he held his tongue. He had been taught by Amycus that, even if you were right, when you tried to undermine the authority of someone above you, you only made things worse for yourself. Silently, Blake took the blame for something he was convinced he was not at fault for.
A choice of punishment? Blake rolled his eyes slightly. Was he not a Slytherin? Did she really have to ask him which he would choose? As if he had it in him to let his house lose 50 points to save himself sweat.
"I take it you'll be wanting my wand then, to make sure I don't try to scourgify the hoops clean," Blake stated dryly, digging into his back pocket to retrieve his wand and holding it out to the professor.

Lola could only smile at the boy as he stepped forward to hand her his wand. Honestly she had been expecting him to be like many other Slytherins and do what was best for himself. She took it and put it down with the others.
" You guessed correctly Mr.Zepline. Use your broom of course to reach the high points, we're not expecting you to do everything manually" she grinned at him, "In the shed on the pitch, there will be a bucket with a sponge ready and waiting... here is a key. Use it to lock the shed back up. It will take you to the pitch and it will bring you back when you are finished. As soon as you have locked the cleaning equipment back up that is".

She handed a rather large copper key over to him.

Kat hmph'd when Professor Rowann essentially told her to keep her mouth shut or she'd be serving another detention. Yeah, because me being here is totally fair...knew I should have at least smacked the stupid tramp, at least then I would deserve this she thought. To make matters worse Professor Lloyd had thought it humorous to pair her and Lily together. "Great," she grumbled under her breath as she stepped forward as she and the Ravenclaw were bound together. They both reached forward, touching the scroll and were immediately yanked from their current spot and to their intended destination.

Blake sighed as he took the copper key from Professor Rowann. Glancing at the forest one last time before he was off, Blake silently thanked the professor. At least his detention would be served in his favorite place at Hogwarts, granted to fly on his broom. He could escape from the faces of his lost love, and her new screwing partner; that was more than he could have hoped for.
Poor Kat, Blake thought as he wondered how detention was going for her being tethered to her ex-best friend who was sleeping with her ex-boyfriend. Without another thought, Blake was off to retrieve his broom and make his way to the pitch for his sole detention.

Trevor woke up early and made his way to where they were told to assemble for detention. A glance around told him Blake, Chace and Kat were all fine, but he couldn't keep the scowl off his face as he saw Sumner was still alive. The Gryffindor stood there silently, sure he had been on detention before but that had been when he first started school, now he couldn't help but feel everything he did was being watched. Trevor almost broke his silence as the first pair of partners read out were Kat and Lily, but he held his tongue hoping Kat would be okay.
As his name was called out Trevor stepped forward emotionless as he realized he didn't know the guy he was partnered with. He placed his wand on the ground with a inward sigh and hesitantly put his arm out for the braclet. It clasped tightly around his arm and he watched gingerly as the boy they'd read out as Aries picked up the scroll. He quickly took a deep breath and as he felt himself being pulled away he closed his eyes waiting for it to be over.

Professor Rowann watched anxiously as each disappeared, she had argued with herself constantly the night before whether this was indeed a good thing or a bad thing, sending defenseless students into the forest but a punishment had to be eked out for them and this had seemed the only alternative. When they had left she set up a tent to await them, going inside and sitting at the table and chairs that were all set and waited for her colleague to join her. It would be some time before they returned after all.

Landing in front of a tent Kat looked at Lily and said, "Must be nice to be inside and sheltered why the rest of us are out their in the danger, risking our rears for items that hold no significance for us."

Returning to the beginning site, Lily just barely landed on her feet after transport by portkey. "I really hate portkeys!" she muttered to Katalina, then started to laugh. "Now do you think they will be happy that we made up or think we are still in for more torture?" An evil grin took over Lily's face. "I have an idea." She grabbed her friend's hand and pulled her close, whispering in her ear. "Serves them right for being all comfy cozy in a tent, don'cha think?"

"Man I really hope that us making up will make them happy. Heck, I'm happy with it...I really don't think that anymore punishment is necessary," she said seriously just as Lily said she had an idea. Kat listened to what her friend said and a wide mischievous grin overtook her face. "I think it more than serves them right," she said sneakily.

"Ok. Let's go." Lily looped her right arm around Kat's left, their wrist's still bound and their hand interlocking. She moved closer so they were standing shoulder to shoulder. Speaking loudly as they entered the tent, she said, "Hello Professors! We have your stuffs." As they moved to the table, she reached over and took some of the leaves out of Kat's pants pocket and set them on the table. She then brushed a piece of hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ear.

Kat let Lily lead her into the tent, their arms linked together. When her friend brushed the hair from her face Kat batted her eyelashes at the girl and crinkled her nose in a cute sort of way. "Oh, you have a little bit of dirt right there on your chin," she said sweetly as she gently took her thumb and wiped it way, letting her hand linger a little longer than necessary. Kat let out a small girly giggle as she emptied the remaining leaves from her pocket and set the mistletoe down as well. Looking at Lily she said, "Oh, hun, don't forget the hair you found."

"Oh, darling you are so right! I almost forgot about the hair!" Lily exclaimed, pulling the hair out from under her hoodie. She had put the hair in to her chest pocket on her t-shirt and as she drew it out from her neckline, it looked as though she was pulling it from her bra. "I forgot you put it down there." She stared Kat in the eyes while she slowly pulled it out, allowing the back of her hand to brush across her friend's cheek in a seductive way.

Kat cackled and said in a hushed tone, but still loud enough for the professors to hear, "Shh, that was supposed to be our little secret." Letting her gaze linger on Lily for just a moment she gave her a little wink before returning her sights to the professors. "If you two are finished with us we will be on our way. We have some, urm, sorority business to take care of," she said before cutting a look to her friend out of the corner of her eye and waggling her eyebrows slightly.
