Avie Mitchell had admittedly been looking forward to the Yuleball for a long while. He had been waiting for it, mostly since he'd asked Kris. Before that, Avie hadn't been too interested in it. He had been planning on going because there was generally candy, but for now, Avie was more interested in going with Kris and spending time with him. He was a little nervous, but mostly he was just excited and really looking forward to being able to spend time with his friend. Last year, Avie had not quite managed to make it to the yuleball until too late, he'd come across the kitchens, and well, that had kept his attention a lot more than the yuleball would've. But this year it was different, he had more of a reason to be at the yuleball. He had a friend that he was meeting, and had promised to get dancing, and this year, unlike the last, Avie had decided that he would not put as much effort in what he was wearing to this yuleball. He had the same suit as last year, but rather than waste his tie with the silly suit jacket and the silly tie, Avie had opted to be more minimal, and that wasn't really just because he couldn't find the suit jacket or that the tie was a little bit covered in mud.
It meant that in absolutely no time at all Avie was ready for the Yuleball. He had of course showered, and actually cleaned himself up. He had gotten the nurse to help clear up the cuts and bruises from the rocks falling on his face, so Avie reasoned that he wasn't looking too bad, he had clearly put in a lot of effort for this. More than he did for most things. He glanced at himself in the mirror, and ran a hand through his hair, messing it up slightly, but it wasn't like he'd actually run a brush through it. He had used his hands, but that hadn't really worked. Just before leaving the dorm, Avie undid the top button of the shirt. He planned on having fun and dancing, that wasn't necessary really to have the top button now was it? Avie took one last look and then headed out the dorm room, to the Great Hall. Avie had plans to show Kris that dancing was fun and that he would have fun. That they weren't to sit in the corner doing nothing. Avie reached the Great Hall, and then looked around for Kris, not seeing him straight away. Avie was growing in excitement, he was really excited for this.
