Following the events of ConSerned

After being led to the shores of New Zealand by the compass-like feature of Aeon's enchanted ring, which would point him in the direction of his twin, it became obvious to both he and Kida that Sern was in another country all together. The pair doubled back, returning to the witches home in Brightstone Village. From there, they entered Kida's fireplace tucked at the back of her library and took the Floo network to her residence in Tuscany, disappearing into a burst of emerald flames. Their only real lead had been the hope that Alexander, the twins father, had moved back to Italy, the home country of his parents. From there, the compass had a stronger pull. Alas, the ring took them further still, the cousins flying across Italy under the concealment of disillusionment charms, then through the skies of Switzerland and France.

They continued across the English Channel when finally, after hours of flying, the pair descended into the village of Barrowick, a wizarding community in England, for a much needed break. They were so close now, but a quick stretch and bite to eat wouldn't hurt. As their feet touched solid ground, the disillusionment charms shimmered away and Aeon and Kida were visible once more, the chameleon like effects now ceased. Aeon dismounted his broom and shifted it to the strap across his back, securing it in place. His stomach rumbled. The last thing he'd had was a cup of tea at Kida's house, which had been a good deal of hours ago now, he wasn't even sure how long they'd been flying exactly.

After quickly shaking out the numbness in his legs to ensure he didn't collapse from their lack of use over the past several hours, the wizard turned to his companion. "Alright, I'm going to go look around for some food and coffee. Hopefully something is open this early. I'll meet you back here in five, yeah?" Aeon said aloud, his mouth dry from lack of food and drink. It had been roughly eleven in the morning when the two had left Kida's house. After traveling to Tuscany, they'd exited the fireplace straight into the dead of night. Judging by the little activity in the town, along with the lazily rising sun, they'd spent the entire night flying. He thought it was probably about six or seven now. Trudging into the town, Summers set out to grab them both breakfast.

Dismounting her Broom Kida felt one of her Knee's lock up from stiffness and she rubbed her thighs with her hands 'Okay' she said as she took a few steps 'I'm not going to go far.' Aeon walked off to find something to Eat and Kida made some attempts to talk longer strides, for a Professional Quidditch player she is used to her long flying but that involved a lot more twists and turns and she used her legs a lot more but in a straight line sitting in the same position with no Bludgers to chase or avoid she tensed up.
The shops in Barrowick all seemed to be closed at this hour she hoped there was a Coffee shop open around now, she would do almost anything for a White Chocolate Latte to wake her up a bit.

Strolling ahead a few shops she saw a Bar which seemed to be closing 'Oh I would love some Hot chips from the Pub' she said her Stomach agreeing with her. Kida paused at the window near the bar there seemed to be some commotion happening in the Bar, Taking a few steps back someone was thrown out of the Pub for staying past their welcome. as Kida continued to walk the Sign on the door was changed to closed and at that moment she heard someone call her name.

Turning around Kida looked to expect to see Aeon and appeared face to face with someone else, A taller blonde Man who was oddly familiar to her.

After the awkward events that had happened in Spain at The Ater's ceremony Blackwell had returned to England to enjoy his time to himself for a bit. He had spent the past 6 hours in Barrowick at the Bar and various houses of assorted ladies but he had struck out thus far and was left with nothing to do, he didn't want to go back to the House and have to put up with Sern. Blake stood up and tried to argue with the Barkeep that they didn't need to close and he wouldn't be a bother but they wouldn't accept that and roughly directed him towards the exit and forced him through the door. Blake tripped over himself and landed on his shoulder. He stood up and dusted off his jacket, he was about to aggressively make a scene when he saw his Sister, or rather Half sister Kida. 'Kida!' he said, not sure if he had made the completely word but he made his way towards her, possibly a bit too close 'Oh.. It is yooh' The Wizard threw his arms around her and pulled her into a extremely tight hug probably too tight but he wasn't aware of what he was doing, he was slightly numb from the amount of Alcohol he had consumed.
'What are you doing here? Did you come to visit me, Oh I love you Little Sister, I've never had a little Sister before and you're the best i've never had.' he continued to hug her but continued to the hug into picking her up and hugging her side to side as like a child hugging a dolly.

'You should come with me back to my place.. or rather accommodation, or rather place' he said as he put his Half Sister down from the awkwardly long hug he had put her through. 'I won't take yes... Hang on, I won't take No for an answer' Blake went to Grab Kida's hand when he saw the ring and he picked up her left hand 'You're Married?!' he said the end of his sentence going an un masculine high note.

Summers was thankful to find that, even this early in the morning, with the sun's ray not yet fully illuminating the sky, there was still food to be had. He ordered breakfast from The Warlock's Brew, Barrowicks local inn, which he found had a similar atmosphere to that of the Leaky Cauldron back home at the harbour. As he waited for his food, the wizard chatted with the landlady, a plump, cheerful witch with way too much energy than he could handle at that hour. He was tired, very much so, and didn't doubt that he had dark rings under his eyes by now. It was tempting to simply book a room and sleep for a while, but the ring adorning his thumb still glowed a sickening, bloody red. He had to remind himself as to why he was here to begin with, and though it hadn't changed too much since they'd left, it seemed to him as if with every passing hour, the ring grew darker still.

After what felt like an age, Aeon finally left the Brew, a strong coffee in one hand and two brown paper bag in the other, containing fresh hotcakes with packets of thick syrup, as well as toast with bacon and eggs. Caffeinated and far more awake than he was, the animagus wandered back through the main street of Barrowick until he returned to the spot he and his cousin had landed, only to be surprised to see her in the tight embrace of another, somewhat drunken man. Confused, he slowly approached the two, coughing awkwardly to announce his return. "Erm. Do you two know each other or..?" He asked curiously, eyes shifting between the two. If he was just some sh*tfaced stranger, he had no problem suggesting he kindly back off.

Before his Sister had a chance to answer his drunken questions most of which he had already forgotten he heard a voice approaching them, he turned around still holding Kida's hand which he twisted in an awkward position to confront the voice. 'Sern, What are you doing down here?' he asked but quickly added another question 'Sern, this is my Half Sister Kida, Kida this is my Housemate Sern, We live together over there' he gestured with Kida's own hand in a general area which covered the entire area behind him 'Oh but not in that way, I Like ladys' he dropped Kida's hand and stumbled towards Sern and wrapped his arms around the man and hugged him tightly not noticing the brown bags that he was crushing between them. Blake whispered as quietly he could manage in his current state in his ear, surrounding Sern or who he thought was Sern with the strong smell of various alcoholic liquids he had consumed 'If we don't get back home now, We're in a lot of trouble. I am offering my Sister a place to stay for the night so we can catch up, Don't you try any funny business with her' he was swaying ever so slightly as he held the other man before pulling back.

'Okay My Darling Sister' he said loudly as he turned around with his hands in the air and walked back over to his sister. he linked his arm in hers and started plodding forward pulling her along with him 'Sern, Come! Lets go back home we can make...' Blake forgot his train of thought and headed towards the edge of Barrowick.

Kida opened and closed her mouth a few times trying to think of a response to Blake's questions he squeezed her tightly and she felt as if her ribs were being crushed, her Brother has a lot of strength that she didn't know about and once he picked her up she had difficulty filling her lungs with fresh oxygen, Blake dropped her just in time and she tried to keep her reactions calm and inhale a large amount of oxygen into her lungs, Blake grabbed her hand to look at her ring and at that moment she had never been happier to hear her Cousin's voice however to her surprise before she could say anything Blake had turned and twisted Kida's hand which he was still holding onto in his, in his drunken state he wasn't aware of what he was doing or holding and was unintentionally hurting her, She clenched her teeth and tried to remove her hand from his grasp but quickly stopped her attempts when Blake said Sern. Kida froze and looked at Aeon, Blake dropped her hand and she pulled it close to her and moved her fingers to make sure her hand was still all in one piece.

Blake moved and hugged Aeon and Kida gave Aeon a very confused look and mouthed the words 'He knows where Sern is' Kida wondered if she should say something to Blake before he broke Aeon in half but he pulled away from the Hug and moved back to her, she side stepped but he grabbed her arm and linked it in his and started plodding out of Barrowick. Looking over her Shoulder she was about to say something but Blake called after Aeon or Sern as he believed. Kida signaled with her free hand to her right side which was free for Aeon to stand on so they could make a plan.

...

With Aeon beside her she lowered her voice to a very soft whisper and spoke to Aeon 'we can't let him know what we know or see it. We're going to have to do something' she stepped over a log as Blake pulled her through a forest towards where he and presumably Sern lived. Kida felt Blake's grip loosen slightly and she pulled her arm free and grabbed Aeon's wrist and pulled him off to the side slightly, Blake was still acting as if he was holding Kida's arm so they had a moment to speak 'If we follow him we will be lead to where we want to go, but we're going to have to stun him or something because he Can't know about the family connection'
Kida checked over her shoulder to see how Blake was doing and she before she saw it she heard a loud Thud.

Aeon almost dropped his coffee at the mention of his brother's name by this...this drunken stranger embracing his cousin. Say what. The wizard thought, his mouth slightly ajar as he tried to process what he'd heard. He realised that, as Sern's twin, the two obviously looked the same, but how did this man know who his brother was. Had he been living here, in Barrowick all these years? The man continued speaking, referring to Kida as his half sister and Sern as a roommate. Say whaaaaat. Aeon's mind continued, now just utterly confused. What were the chances that they'd not only run into someone who knew his brother, but also happened to be Kida's sibling? Probably pretty high, he mused, given that his cousin's mother was a 'well-travelled' harlot.

Before he had tine to fully compprehend the situation at hand, the drunk man stumbled on over to Aeon, arms outstretched. The younger wizard raised his hands in protest, not too keen to be in the arms of someone who reeked of alcohol, but his protests went unnoticed as he was thrown into a tight hug. His face dropped as the man whispered into his ear, unaware of the relation between Aeon and Kida as it was suggested that the younger wizard not try anything. Summers grimaced, looking over at Kida. He nodded his head, both as a response to his cousin and their new companion, just wishing he'd let him go. It seemed to be enough to reassure the man, as he was released, panting slightly as the air returned to his lungs. Drunky, as he mentally referred to him, not currently aware of his actual name, returned to Kida and started escorting her off toward his residence, where he said he and Sern lived. Aeon hurried along after them, taking his place toward Kida's right side at her signal.

Approaching the edge of a wood, Aeon's ears pricked up at the sound of Kida's voice, dropped to a whisper. He nodded in agreement, definitely not wanting to put any trust in Drunky whatsoever, despite being a part of Kida's ever-growing family tree. Thankfully, his cousin slipped free and the two separated themselves slightly from their third party, too immersed in his on intoxicated reality to notice. Aeon took the time to offer out his paper bag of crushed breakfast goods, the both of them still hungry, while Kida continued to speak. "Of course, we'll just casually stun him. Kida, he knows who you are and you clearly don't trust him. It seems like a bad idea to-" Aeon replied, cut off by the sound of something crashing into the ground. His blue eyes looked past his cousin's shoulder, trailing down toward the dirt-stained, unconscious form of Drunky. "Ok well, that solves that problem I guess." Summers shrugged. He raised his hand and twisted the ring on his finger, its scarlet light focusing into a tight beam, pointing toward a clearing between the treeline. Leaving the man to snore into the ground, the young wizard continued forward, trudging through fallen leaves and curved roots.

The moment Summers entered the circular clearing, the light beam navigating his way started to fizzle out of existence, crackling once before going dormant. "Dammit, there's magical interference here." He grumbled, lowering his hand and shifting his gaze toward the aged house in front of him, surrounded by tall hedges. The building was a familiar sight to him, though he'd never been there in person before. "Kida, hey! Kida!" Aeon called out in a hushed tone, as his cousin caught up with him. "I know this place. It's the Lancaster house, my mother grew up here. There used to be photos of it around the house back when...well, when she and my dad were together. Why would Sern be living here though? Especially with that guy. Last I knew, Eustacia lived here...oh." He turned to face his cousin, hand brought up to his mouth. The last time Eustacia had spoken to Kida, she had threatened her then-unborn child. They did not want to be caught snooping around her house. "I don't think it's safe for us to be caught prowling around Eustacia's land. I think it'll be less risky if we, you know, "wolf up". At least then we'll have better senses." Summers suggested, before turning around and dropping to his knees, his whole body warping at the same time. In moments, a husky stood where Summers had been crouched, ears twitching and alert.

Aeon walked right past the fallen Blake who seemed to be half swimming in the slightly moist leaves covering the earth Kida rolled her eyes and sighed heavily walking over to her Half-brother. 'Blake, Up you get' she said as she slipped her arm under his shoulders and assisted in standing him up again letting him lean against the tree for support 'You need to show me where your place is and light a nice warm fire and tell me what you've been doing with yourself.' she said with false enthusiasm. Aeon called her name and Kida gave Blake three solid pats on the chest and went to find Aeon who was a bit further ahead standing at what seemed to be the clearing. 'What, Hey What' she repeated in a similar hushed tone as she looked at the house in front of them. Aeon explained that it was the Lancaster house where his mother grew up and last he knew Eustacia lived there, Kida snarled 'Surprise, Surprise. Of course she has Sern.' she huffed 'Okay, You're right, Wolf up it is.. but first ' she hooked her arm in Aeon's and began to drag him back 'The guy by the way is my oldest half-brother Blake' she said in a hushed tone 'He told me that some woman spoke to his dead father and told her who his mother was, I thought he meant an old family friend spoke to his father when he was alive not that Eustacia actually spoke to his father.' Kida moved ahead about to say something else but she looked over her shoulder and Aeon was already in Husky form. A smirk appeared on Kida's face 'Blake, Look at that pretty Husky, he must be lost' she said her voice sounding distressed 'Quick Catch him' and with that she shot Aeon a half smile and ran towards the border, she jumped over a half fallen tree and transfigured into a wolf as she crossed the border.

With her nose to the ground Kida could smell Eustacia and her Half brother there were a few other smells of people who she knew she wouldn't like, she tried to pick up Sern's scent but it was clouded by a Strong smell of blood which sent chills down her wolf spine. The large Black Wolf kept well ahead of Aeon so that Blake didn't see her and get scared by her large wolf form, she quickly ducked around the side of the house and looked for any doors that may indicate a hidden basement where Sern could be being held while she waited for Aeon to lead Blake to the doors and let them in.

Swimming was a wonderful feeling the slightly moist leaves between his fingers and on his face, like nothing he had ever experienced before. Blake felt an arm slip under his and lift him and he assisted even though he wanted to keep swimming at least the leaves were all over him so he could remember his swim. 'Warm Fire. I can do that for you sister' he said to the girl who was standing in front of him she gave him a pat on the chest and he leaned back against the tree pulling leaves off his arms and throwing them up into the air like large bits of confetti.

The Girl and Boy returned and he was confused there was now a Girl and a Husky, His sister the Girl sounded concerned that the dog was lost and he looked at the Small Husky with Big blue eyes 'I'll get him, I'm good with Dogs. I have a Dog named Sigil, he's a reverse Dalmatian, such a good boy, Would you like to meet Sigil Boy?' he asked the dog and followed the Dog through the clearing 'Hey Hey, Boy wait up' he said after the dog and let out a drunk whistle which ended up to being an awkward spitting situation. Blake almost tripped over himself walking up to the front door the Husky was close to him to he shook the door handle but it didn't budge 'Odd It should open, Hang on Husky. let's go to the Back door' Quickly turning around Blake looked like he was going to go face first down the stairs but his feet seemed to catch up.

Walking around the back end of the House Blake pat his leg 'C'mon Husky Boy' he said as he walked against the house and up the back steps he got really close to the door and chuckeld 'Oooh Doggy, We're going to have great Bro times, You're softer than Sigil, You'll be good for some Bro Cuddles and walks, Once we have a snooze I'll throw the ball around for you okay?' he went to Pat the Dog but ended up patting the plant next to the door instead and opened the door.
Blake pushed the door open and Walked to the room with the fireplace inside the Wizard turned around and a few more leaves fell off him onto the ground 'Cmon Boy Inside. Inside. Inside. Inside. Inside. Inside. Inside.' he kept on repeating himself 'I'll start the Fire' he added but he forgot the couch was directly behind him. Blake went face first into a couch cushion and grunted loudly.

Blake. Now that Aeon finally knew the man's name, he could stop mentally referring to him as Drunky. Though as Kida continued to talk about her sibling as the two retreated back into the wood, the canines head turned in curiosity, ears pricked up. What did she mean by Eustacia speaking to his dead father? As in, his ghost? Though if that was the case, why couldn't Blake speak to him directly? From what Aeon knew, ghosts were either present or they weren't, they couldn't come and go from the afterlife as they pleased. Shrugging, in the most awkward way a dog could, he supposed that perhaps the wizard and his spectral father hadn't been on speaking terms and needed a medium. It was strange that Eustacia of all people had any dealings with it. Small world.

The two returned to the half-conscious man, now human and dog. Aeon let out a soft whine, not understanding why they couldn't just leave him to pass out in the middle of the trees, relative or not. Kida had enough surprise siblings, did they really need to collect another? All he wanted to do was get in, find his twin and get back out again. Preferably without being noticed. Blake was just goin to slow them down. That was, at least, until Kida improvised a plan, convincing the drunkard to chase after Aeon under the pretense that he was a lost dog. The canine returned his cousins half smile with a reluctant groan, before barking excitedly and trotting once more back to the clearing, Blake at his heels. At least the man would be able to get them inside to snoop around. After all, he probably had a key and Summers wasn't too keen on the idea of blasting the door down, or crawling through a window. In the corner of his eye, the husky caught sight of the large dark blur that was Kida, now also in wolf form, keeping her distance. It had been a while since the two of them had been in their animagus forms like this.

Leading Blake up to his own front step, the husky sat back on its haunches expectantly, blue eyes watching as the man fumbled with the front door. It didn't open. Aeon's ears fell, a whine of disappointment escaping him. This guy really was useless. Thankfully, he was soon reassured that they could attempt the back door, though the dog wasn't entirely sure how much longer Blake could stay on his own two feet. He trailed behind the wizard, cautiously, so as not to get too close when he inevitably came crashing down. The two proceeded through the garden, behind the hedgerows surrounding the grounds. He didn't really have the time to take in the plants growing among the expanse of land, but with several years experience in Herbology under his belt, it didn't all look particularly safe, or legal for that matter.

Before too long, they reached the rear of the house, ascending the stairs towards the back entrance. Aeon spent a minute watching in bemusement as Blake mumbled to himself for a bit before petting a nearby plant. The husky shook his head, bringing his paw to his face in the dog equivalent of a facepalm. At last, Blake got the door open and Aeon darted inside, nose in the air, sniffing. There were scents he recognised all over the house, Blake's, Eustacia's, even some of the other Lancasters were vaguely familiar, but there was one that stuck out more than the others, one that he barely recognised. That's Sern. He thought, his stomach wrenching. But his ears didn't pick up any sounds, no movement from anywhere in the house, bar Blake's stumbling. Still, he had to be here. They were so close to him now, he could have been behind any of the doors scattered throughout the halls. He couldn't check his ring in his current form, but realised it was no use anyway, since it had stopped working the moment they entered the grounds.

Another loud thump, similar to the one he'd heard only minutes ago, filled the room as Blake passed out for the second time. The husky waited a moment, listening to the man's snores, before trotting back to the open doorway and barking, signaling for Kida to come inside.

Kida couldn't find a single secret entrance around the house, she could sense where Eustacia had been and none of the trails led to anywhere under the house or around the house so the only explanation was that Sern was in the house. Kida could heard Blake and Aeon trying to open doors but she kept looking in case she missed something the Smell of blood was strong her Wolf instincts made her wanted to go kill something but she kept them under control, one of the main difficulties in being a wolf was wanting to rip every throat out she came across.

Her eats pricked up when she Heard Aeon Bark and she quickly took off making her way to where Aeon was, her Strong wolf form scaled the grounds with no problem and she leaped up the steps into the house and slide past Aeon, forgetting her Large wolf paws had no traction on polished wooden floors. Managing to stop herself she turned around to Aeon and put her Paw on her snout as in trying to say "Whoops"
Instantly putting her nose to the ground she let out a deep throaty growl, the scent of Eustacia was stronger inside the house and she didn't like it, however Eustacia wasn't inside, she couldn't hear movement however the scent of blood was much stronger in the house. Kida looked at Aeon her Golden Green eyes very much wolf like as if she was ready to hunt.

There were two kinds of blood, one wasn't Human but the other was. Letting out a soft Bark at Aeon she made her way up the stairs trying to find the top floor of the house, there was a strong smell of blood all around her she couldn't zone in on where it was coming from, It wasn't fresh blood she could smell it had been a few hours since there was a lot of fresh blood in this house. Once on the top floor Kida looked around she couldn't hear a heart beat which she was listening for she couldn't see blood either, but she did see Eustacia's room. Kida had to fight the urge to rip everything up, she was being careful not to shed any fur on the ground that Eustacia could find, Kida was a registered Animagus and If Eustacia found wolf's fur in the house she would expect her to come after her Children again. Checking the adjoining rooms Kida couldn't find Sern, she plodded back into the hall way and tried to listen for a heartbeat.

As Kida suddenly barreled in through the back door, Aeon was quick to slink back behind its frame, bright eyes watching his cousin slide uncontrollably across the polished floors. He shook his head, clearly not impressed. Merlin, you can be careless sometimes. He thought as he waited for her to regain her footing. They were literally breaking into someone else's house; His relatives, for that matter. Eustacia wasn't the most friendliest woman either, they had no idea what would happen if they were caught. They couldn't both pass off as lost animals either, the witch had seen both of their animagus forms before when she'd let herself into their home. Plus, Kida's form wasn't exactly domestic. They had to be quick, assuming Sern was even somewhere in the house to begin with. Eustacia could return at any given moment and they weren't ready.

As his cousin put her nose to the floor and began sniffing, Aeon followed suit, trying to take in and identify the scents within the house. The most prominent was the blood, the metallic smell resonating from the iron that flowed through the red liquid. It was relatively recent too, hours old at least. Who's blood it was, he didn't want to know, but there had been a lot of it. It wouldn't have surprised him if his grandmother kept a torture chamber somewhere under the house. She was frightening at times. Pressing on through the halls, Aeon listened as his cousin ascended the staircase to the upper floors in search. He remained on the ground floor, trying to focus on the scent he'd picked up before. So familiar, yet so alien at the same time. It was similar to his own smell, but something about it, the tiniest detail was different. It was most dominant on his floor, so very close. He followed after it, nose shifting between the air and the ground as he tracked it to its source.

The canine exited the hallway, entering a room he guessed was the kitchen. Of course, it lacked a fridge or any sort of electrical equipment. Similarly to Hogwarts, he figured the magic in the air would interfere with anything running on electricity. That, and his grandmother despised muggle inventions. He sniffed again, a new scent reaching out to him. This one too was familiar, but he wasn't sure as to why that was. He shook his head, deciding to ignore it for the time being and shifting his focus back to the one he was after. It was stronger now, far more intense. He was close. The husky's eyes traced across the room while he padded across the tiled floors, passing counters and tables until he came to a stop at what looked to be a pantry door. It hung ever so slightly open, and the scent drifted through the gap, so powerful he thought he could almost see it. It was mixed with two others, that new familiar smell he couldn't place, and the rusty, metallic odour of blood. He stopped, hesitant, afraid of what he might see when he opened the door. But as he stood there on all fours, his ears twitched, picking up a repetitive thumping sound, a soft heartbeat pulsing from behind the door's gap. He took in a deep breath and stepped forward, using his paw to swing the door open even further.

As the door opened, Aeon thought he heard a quiet crack, before it opened to reveal a spacious pantry, lined with shelves stocked full of bottles of bubbling liquids and an assortment of ingredients. But what caught his attention was the pale, almost corpse-like form of himself lying motionlessly on the floor. Only it wasn't himself, but his twin sibling. Aeon stood frozen for a moment, afraid, believing he was looking at the deceased body of Sern until the beating sound of a heart roused him from his fear. He was still alive and breathing, and the animagus noticed a red-stained bandage wrapped tightly around the man's leg. He'd either tended to his wounds and stopped the bleeding, or someone else had. This had to have been what set off the ring. Sern wore his own copy around his finger, its metal white to signify Aeon's good health. It was strange seeing it for himself. As his heart stopped racing, the canine gently nudged his brother's uninjured leg. The man stirred in response, eyelids subtly fluttering as if he were close to waking. Aeon trotted back a few steps and raised his snout, howling out into the kitchen to call for Kida, letting her know he needed her. Dropping his head once more, the husky retransfigured into his human self, just as his twins eyes slowly opened.

In the hallway she was confused with the multiple smells she was picking up, she could sense her own Half Brother and something that was similar to Aeon's scent coming from a room, She pushed the door open and was faced with some stairs, she climbed them finding the scent became stronger as she climbed, In her wolf form she hadn't been faced with Sern's scent but now she was getting a sensory overload. Standing in Sern's room she was about to look around when she heard Aeon's Howl from downstairs, with a quick pivot she was down the stairs and back in the hallway, her ears pricked up to locate where the howl came from, She couldn't sense Eustacia so she assumed that Aeon had found Sern. In her Wolf form she was both agile and fast, she was down to the bottom floor in no time at all and went to the Kitchen, she almost wanted to stop and wonder if Aeon had called her just because he was hungry but she knew that this wasn't the time for that at all.

Carefully making her way to the Pantry she still wasn't completely convinced that Aeon hadn't called because Eustacia had found him, her Fur standing on end she snarled as if she was a vicious wild wolf, Listening she could hear two heart beats, one rather faint and the other rapid, slowly peering around the corner she saw Aeon sitting next to Sern who was slowly regaining some form of consciousness, in her excitement she leapt forward her nose almost touching his as she sniffed him, shuffling back she sniffed his leg before remembering she was in wolf form and transfigured back into her Human Self 'Sern, Oh Thank Merlin you're all right' she said as she moved position to sit on his other side opposite Aeon, Shuffling forward she slowly raised his head and put it on her Knee's so he was more comfortable.

With her long brown hair falling around her she quickly tossed it back over her shoulder as she brushed Sern's Mop of brown hair out of his face, 'You look like you haven't changed your hairstyle in over a decade' she laughed, her emotions came on strong, and she suddenly felt like crying right there on the spot, her heart was thumping hard inside of her chest, The Witch looked up at Aeon smiling at him wondering how he was handling the whole discovery of his twin not hearing from him or knowing if he was alive in over a decade.
Taking a deep breath Kida placed her hand on Sern's chest and gave him soft Pat 'Reunion aside, we need to move. Eustacia can return any minute and on her ground I don't want to face her, not today.' she looked down at Sern 'You Ready?' she said kind of being a rhetorical question as she attempted to Apparate but nothing happened, Kida looked at Aeon and raised her eyebrows 'I can't apparate out of here' she said starting to feel slightly concerned. Kida decided they had no time to figure out why and started to move herself to help Sern to sit up. Kida wasn't sure how they could carry a only just awake 28 year old who was about as fragile as a child out of the boundaries of Eustacia's land.

Like an endless ocean Sern felt as if he were being suspended, crushed and as if floating in nothing all at the same time. For indeterminable periods of time there was nothing and at others, images and shapes exploded against him before returning to the dark. He saw his brother, his family, hating and loving him. He saw them living with and without him, he saw demons of Eustacia's creation and fields burning.

Why can I hear howling. The words drifted through his mind groggily as Sern felt himself being drawn up through the waters of his unconsciousness, drawn forward by his brother nudging him. Pain flowered from his leg and spread through him as his eyes dragged open. There was Aeon; his brother, his twin. "...Aeon?", his usually quiet and careful tone was weaved with a sluggish confusion. Surely this had to be another one of his delusions, but there was no pain his others.. What was going on? His family hated him. For a moment he betrayed himself as he blearily looked in wonder at his twin, "Look how big you've grown little brother". The moment past, mistrust taking it's place. Everything Eustacia had told him was a lie, how could he trust anyone to be any different? Sern made an attempt to drag himself away from Aeon, only awarding himself another flash of pain from his leg.

As if the scene weren't enough, a wolf burst into the pantry and sniffed at him and his leg. With the amount of blood he had lost, Sern could only manage a wide eyed look of horror. Well f*ck, This isn't how I planned to go. The only normal entity to enter the scene was Edgar, who came to Sern's apparent defence, glaring warningly at the wolf from his shoulder. Before what would have been a highly entertaining if beyond bizarre fight could break out, the beast transformed back into Kida. She lifted his head into her lap, forcing an equally confused Edgar to find a perch on a nearby bench. The hell was going on? Last he could remember, he was trying to open his fathers letter before being nearly killed by a letter opener and now his family were around him talking about escape, family he had thought for 13 long years, had hated him. "How can I trust you?", He tried to make the words as solid as possible but he could barely keep his eyes focused and his voice sounded anything but confident. After a soft caw, Sern turned to his avian friend with a questioning look before nodding slightly. "And I'm not going anywhere without my things", this at least he managed with with a more demanding tone although he still had to stop himself from staring at his brother.
