Conglomerated Arts Club - First Meeting

Ava was furious that she had to mix with the likes of the Drama club and the WROCK group. Pathetic. She thought to herself in annoyance. But she decided to try and not let it get to her, she wasn't going to let drama geeks ruin the Fashion Club for her. She would just have to get on with things. It wasn't like she could change how things were. Ava was in her dorm all morning and afternoon trying to find an outfit perfect for today's meeting. Even if some losers would be there, Isabella was going to be there as was the rest of the Glam Squad and then of coarse, Alyssa.

Once finallizing an outfit, Ava tied her hair up in a messy chignon. She had not realized how late she was, she could have smacked herself for being so picky with her outfits, either that or smacking herself for having too many clothes. Ava walked quickly in her cream pumps to the Student Club Area. Before entering the room where the meeting was being held, Ava made sure she looked as pretty as she always did, she didn't want to look like she rushed herself to get here. She was fashionably late..right?
Ava walked into the rom gracefully and she looked around at the amount of students in the room. Some she recognized from last years meetings, the others...well she couldn't even comment on them. Ava forced one of her sweet smiles bearing her white teeth, "Hi.." She greeted just as sweetly as her smile, although inside she was burning with fustration, she managed to not let one ounce of that escape onto her face. Ava looked for a familar face or faces, she spotted Leia amongst the crowd sitting beside Sam. She didn't know where she stood with Leia's friendship. Ava got on well with the girl and had managed to get over the fact that she was a 'Puff, but yet they never seemed to be able to get close enough. Ava moved her stare off Leia and onto Alyssa, however she did not stand next to Alyssa, as much as she wanted to, she figured Alyssa might need some time with her friends. Alyssa wouldn't want her tagging along all the time anyway.

Nia beamed when Bella complimented her outfit. It was surprising to the young Slytherin at how little attention she paid to getting ready now, after so long it just came naturally to her. "Thank you. You're looking stunning as ever" she said observing Bella's outfit. As Nia was about to strike a conversation with Bella, about anything really she had missed just talking to her best friend, but before she did she was interrupted by someone speaking to Bella. How rude! she thought to herself as she turned to glare at the person who had interrupted her, but decided against it when she saw who it was. Thomas Smith, a boy in her year, and from the looks of it was dating Bella. When he left, a smirk replaced Nia's irritated features. "Wellllll?" she asked her friend playfully.

Nia lifted her head as Patricia, one of the other leaders, made a small announcement and went back to Bella. By this time Abbey had joined them. "Hi!" she said happily to her other best friend, glad that she was actually talking to her, Nia often worried that Abbey didn't like her any more. Hearing a familiar French accent fill the room Nia turned round to see Alyssa. Nia smiled and waved at her, a little saddened that she didn't come and join the group. She hated that they were divided, but she wasn't going to let a silly argument get in the way of their friendship. "I'll be back in a bit." she excused herself from Abbey and Bella and walked over to Alyssa. "Hey Aly!" Nia beamed at her. "Mind if I sit?" she asked, indicating to the spare seat beside her.

Maddiie smiled as everyone began to file in filling up the room greatly. She wasn't so sure how many of them were here for her club, seeing as they lack information. Which she was working on, writing taking down notes every now and than. She didn't much recognise that many people, but sure was happy to at least see a few Hufflepuffs here and there. She couldn't help but notice there was built tension in the room, by the looks of it seems their was a fued amongst the younger students in here. Possibly involving one of the leaders. Oh well, its not my problem, she would think smiling as she click the button to her pen, still watching. Of course if something broke out she would immediately have to step in just in case, being the oldest one in here she had to play her part as guidance as well.

Leia was a bit surprised at the amount of people who were showing up to the meeting. Leia mostly kept to herself, not minding the fact that she was alone, that's how it had always been in her old private school in New York. Just then Sam showed up and took a seat next to her as he said hi to her her. "Hey Sam!" she greeted him brightly, smiling at the fact that she seemed to be running into him more often lately. "Are you here for the fashion club?" she said jokingly, knowing Sam was probably the least interested in fashion. She was pretty sure he was here for the Wrock group, just like she was, along with a few other clubs.

Leia looked around the club for a moment as more people filed in, and spotted her friend Ava. They weren't exactly close, but considering that they had started off on the wrong track when Ava couldn't get over the fact that she wanted to be a Hufflepuff, now they were further along with their friendship, though not by that much and it was rather confusing for the Hufflepuff girl. She was afraid Ava would not want to associate with her in public because she was a Hufflepuff, but Leia shrugged her shoulders thinking ah what the hell, and called out, "Ava!" waving and motioning her over to take the other seat beside her while Sam occupied the other one.

Alyssa looked up in confusion when she heard someone call her name and ask to sit. She put a pretty smile on her face when she saw that it was only Nia. Out of all the girls, she had been the only actually brave enough to come over and talk to her. She wasn't fighting wit the Glam Squad, if anything it was more like she was taking a break and going off to find herself. "Sure! I haven't seen you girls since the beginning of ze year and was starting to think zat you all hated me." She managed through her french accent. Alyssa almost wondered if Hadan joined the club that way she wouldn't be completely alone, especially when it was highly unclear that Theodore was nowhere to be found.

"How was your break?" Alyssa used to be really updated on all the happenings that went on. But now she wasn't as strong in the gossip area as she had been. Maybe it was or the best though if she was trying to be nicer.

Theodore walked into the room where the meeting was being held at with his hands stuffed into his pocket and his head hanging low as he usual did. He was wearing A Plaid shirt and some Jeans. Unlike Alyssa who seemed to sign up for almost everything this year, he opted for just Quidditch and WROCK for this year. He wanted to keep things at school far more mellow than they happened to be at home, this place was his escape from his father. 'If only I could get away from somebody else I know..' He rolled his eyes when he thought of his wife-to-be. Boy did she have a way for being a pain in his side, even when she wasn't around she was causing him issues.

"Sorry..." He apologized to those who looked at him before she wandered over to where Alyssa sat and sat down in the chair next to her. He crossed his arms and flipped his bangs out of his eyes before she glanced at the girl sitting next to her. He couldn't remember her name, but didn't really feel like asking her for it. So instead he opted for staying silent and just waiting for the meeting to begin. He had something important to do right after the meeting was over.

Maria had heard there was a fashion club, and her heart fluttered in excitement, though that soon turned to disappointment when she realised it had been mixed together with cooking. Music was okay, but cooking? She'd had enough of that for a lifetime. Dressed in some of her favourite clothes, which she had worked tirelessly to repair after her fight with Sephora, she headed into the clubroom, disappointed at the people around her. She didn't see anyone she liked, the only people she knew were people she wouldn't mind throwing from the astronomy tower. Disappointed that yet again she would be the loner, while the people who were cruelest to her got all the popularity and happiness, she sank into a seat as far away from both Sephora and Sam as possible, waiting for this stupid meeting to start.

Kyle was excited for the cooking club. He had LOVED Potions last year, and cooking seemed like a natural extension. He'd never really tried it before, and it seemed worth a try. He got dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, no shoes, and headed down to the clubroom. He had regretfully decided to leave Eli behind; his rat was getting on in years, and needed to rest a lot more, and Kyle figured the excitement of a room full of people probably wouldn't be the best for him. He padded in to the room, looking for someone he knew without success. He only recognised one... person in the room, the strange house elf from last year. Ekky, that was his name. Somewhat hesitantly, Kyle approached the small figure in the patchwork cloak, smiling. "Hey." He said, hoping the elf had calmed down somewhat.

Willow walked into the Arts Club with her charmed guitare over her shoulder. She had heard that this what was what happened to the WROCK group but just as well with all the bands popping up it was great to know that there where other things to do here. Maybe she would get what was left of her old one back together really. She looked over to see a certen blond boy who had broken her best friend's heart. Or whatever heart she had developed. Willow smirked to herself as she hid behind her curten of brown hair and sulked off into a corner where a young Hufflepuff was standing. "Yo." Was all she said. The girl looked like she stepped out of a mag but Willow didn't mind. It wasn't like she was here to judge. Willow herself was in her infamuse pair of grass stained jeans and over sized swater that went down to her knees.

Ekky watched in wonder as all the witchies entered the room. He didn't sense the animosity between people, he was far too inexperienced with humans to be notice. Instead, he viewed everyone who entered the room as a new friend and master. When Emilie arrived, Ekky's face seemed to split apart, he smiled so widely. He jumped onto his feet so that he was standing on his chair.

"Mistress Memily, Mistress Memily! Ekky is goodly happy to see beauteous Mistress! Ekky is most-goodly enjoying the Hoggywarts. Did Mistress Memily know that in the winter when all the witchies is gone, the house elves get to be cleaning the whole great castle? Every little roomy is flipped top from bottom and Ekky is helping to make it all wondrous and tidy for the new year! Such an adventure, it was, Mistress Memily. Ekky did have a lovely winters." He was so excited to be able to tell someone other than Tip about what he had been up to, and he adored Emilie. To Ekky, she was the prettiest, smartest, funniest witchy in all the lands. He was very happy she was here. He wondered if she was here for the fashion club or something entirely different. "Which Arts of the Conglomellation is Memily here for?" he asked, eagerly.

While Ekky had been busy talking to Emilie, Kyle had entered the meeting and approached him. Ekky was chuffed: two friendies were talking to him! This was about the best day of his life. "Master!" he cried when Kyle said 'hey.' "Master is also an Arts of the Clongelliation?" he asked excitedly, getting his words mixed up. "Ekky is fashionisto!" he proudly exclaimed and turned slightly to allow his friends to admire his cloak. "Ekky is goodly for seeing Master! Master is happy for Hoggywarts? Master had a happy winter?"

Ekky decided now would be a good time to stop talking and hear what his friend had to say, but instead of Kyle's or Emilie's voice, he heard that of a grumpy old man from a large painting near the door. It appeared he had just woken up and was mighty furious. "EKARIN!" it bellowed, and Ekky almost jumped out of his skin. "THIS IS A STUDENT CLUB! FOR STUDENTS! YOU ARE NOT A STUDENT. CAN'T YOU GET THAT INTO YOUR TINY LITTLE BRAIN? BACK TO THE KITCHENS YOU ROTTEN LITTLE STINKER! I'd kick you if I weren't stuck in this Merlin-forsaken painting!" The oil-painted man continued to mutter under his breath and Ekky's eyes, if it were at all possible, would have been wider than normal with fear. It suddenly struck him that what he was doing was wrong. He didn't belong here. He was a house elf! A servant! House elves didn't need friends, only masters. He pulled hard on his ears, wincing at the pain and his whole body seemed to droop. It had seemed like such a good idea when he signed up. What had he been thinking?

He looked briefly at Kyle and Emilie and hoped they would be able to meet again soon somewhere else around the castle. "Oh, Ekky is bigly sorry for mistake, masters!" He announced to the room at large. Then he jumped off his chair onto Tip's back. Tip awoke with a start and yelped as Ekky apparated them both to the kitchens, where they belonged.

((To Ekky's friends. It's okay to feel sad that Ekky is gone :r: but don't kick up a fuss about him being made to leave. I shouldn't have posted here in the first place and this was just the first way I could think of to get him out again! Student clubs are for students, not naughty little house elves.))

Ava looked around the large room a little more, hoping people wouldn't notice her being a totally outcast, when all of a sudden she heard her name being called. Ava looked over to the source of the voice to find that it was Leia? Ava was unsure what to do, did Leia really want her to sit beside her? Plus Sam was there which was quite a letdown. She wasn't even aware that they knew of each other. Ava knew that if she rejected Leia's invite then people would stare and to be truthful, she couldn't really think of a reason not to accept it. Ava smiled and walked over to where Leia and her cousin were sitting. She took a seat before she said "Thanks." Ava looked down at her lap and slowly smoothed out the creases in her skirt. Ava didn't acknowledge Sam and just looked at Leia, "So how have you been?" Ava said innocently, hoping that they could just pick up from where they left off. Merlin knows, Ava needed a good friend.

Natasha hadn't a clue what had possessed her to join the Conglomerated Arts Club. She couldn't even pronounce 'Conglomerated', let alone say she was in the Conglomerated Arts Club. And, as always, Natasha was lost. "Honestly, I've been here for over three years, and I can't find a single damn thing." she muttered, turning around. Somehow she had gotten herself to the seventh floor.

Eventually, Natasha had found the room she was supposed to be in. She was a little annoyed that she was late, but then again, she didn't know many people who expected her to be early, or even on time. Most people she recognized, but she doubted they would know who she was. "Hey everyone." Natasha beamed, sitting next to Patricia. She felt a little out of place here, but it didn't really matter.

James was still wondering why he had agreed to join a club. A club that had Natasha in it too. He supposed it had something to do with the fact Natasha would tell Delani that he had been paying Avadia to do his homework. Avadia was in Ravenclaw, she was smart.

James didn't care if people in this club hated him, in fact he wished they all did. Cooking? James did everything he could to keep away from kitchens, so this was bad. Maybe he could get out of it or something.

He walked into the meeting, and the first person he saw was Nia. James smiled at her, and went to sit beside her. "Hey." he grinned. Maybe this club would be bearable if Nia was there.

Nia smiled brightly as Alyssa said she could sit down, although she would be extremely worried if she had said no. Nia took a seat and listened to Alyssa. She laughed lightly at how strongly her french accent was coming through, but she knew what it was like, her own Greek accent being somewhat more predominant due to being surrounded by it daily in Greece. Thankfully she had escaped to New Zealand as often as she could so her accent never really stuck. When Alyssa told Nia that she thought they - her friends - hated her. Shaking her head franically Nia exclaimed, "No! Never!" a grim look on her face. How could she think that? "Far from it. We thought you hated us." she informed her, but they couldn't think what happened - apart from the whole thing that happened between Abbey and Theodore, and Alyssa sticking up for her brother. Nia understood that, and she didn't hold anything against Alyssa.

When Alyssa moved on to the topic of how her break was Nia lazily shrugged her shoulders. "Rather boring." she stated simply. "Just the usual festivals in town, acting all happy families with mum and dad, even more so that mum is pregnant now." she said with some iritation in her voice. She wasn't too keen on having a baby brother or baby sister, she had grown too used to being an only child - but there was nothing she could do about it. "How was your break?" she returned her question with a friendly smile.

Feeling someone sit beside her and say hello Nia turned round, her smile brighter than before. Even though she hadn't seen the person she knew who it was right away, how could she not know that voice that made er stomach go mad with butterflies - even now. Throwing her arms around his neck and giving him a quick peek on the cheek she exclaimed, "James! You came." she said laughing. She knew how much he disliked things like this but it meant so much to her that he was here, with her.

Now the the invitation for Ava to join her had been offered, for the entire room to hear no less, Leia wondered if Ava would actually submit to sitting with her and her cousin sitting beside the Veela girl. Thankfully Ava had accepted the offer and came to sit next to her. Leia tried not to laugh as she completely ignored her cousin Sam, giving Sam a half apologetic smile for inviting her over, and then smiled at Ava as she asked how she had been. "Good, thanks!" she replied with a bright smile and shrugging it off not wanting to get into detail for fear of the club meeting starting soon. "How are you?" she asked the Slytherin girl in hopes that this year they could continue to build on their small friendship so far.

Kyle watched the saga of Ekky's disappearance with wide eyes. The yelling of the painting made him angrier than he had been in a long time; how could he say such things about Ekky? The house elf had only wanted to learn and make some friends, nothing wrong with that. Before Kyle could say anything though, Ekky was already long gone, and Kyle sank into a seat, feeling defeated. If the wizarding world could be so cruel to someone sweet like Ekky just because he wasn't human, what on earth were they going to say to him when people figured out he was gay. Bewildered, angry, and depressed, Kyle hugged his knees, staring over top of them at the room full of strangers, bare toes wrapping worriedly around the edge of his chair.

Maddiie couldn’t help but look up, as she heard the loud bellowing of the effing paint echoing along the walls of the classroom. She hated when house elf were mistreated, and yet to be mistreated by a painting. Gawd! She wanted to scream right back at the painting but it would just look silly of her if she done so. She notices the boy who had approach Ekky, slump down against a chair looking rather miserable at the moment. Getting the confidence to get up, she walks towards Kyle to consult him. “Hello?” she greeted him with a bright warm smile, taking a seat right next to him. “Don’t feel bad I know how you feel but I’m sure Ekky will make friends whenever he has the chance to” she added setting the clipboard against her lap “I’m Maddiie by the way and you are?” she says wondering if she notice him from around school or possibly the same house.

Kyle looked up when he heard someone speaking to him; it looked to be a much older girl, but she was saying nice things about Ekky. "I just don't see why he should be any different. I mean... he's got feelings and stuff right? Why shouldn't he be allowed to do stuff with us? He just wants to learn!" He sighed, hitting his chin on his knees, then looked at the girl. "I'm Kyle. I think I've seen you around Hufflepuff, right?" He asked, recognising her from the common room.

"Yes I truly understand." Maddiie was please that Kyle stood up for what he believe to be right. She admire the personality of person who was like that, and could tell Kyle was full of potential, leadership, maybe even more. "One day Kyle things will come in your favour, till than one step at a time" she beam from ear to ear. When he mention he had notice her in the common room, Maddiie nodded. "Yes hufflepuff correct." she said proudly. She wasn't sure what club he came to join, and didn't care if it wasn't her either way. "I'm glad that you came Kyle, we always happy to have more students get involved with activities like joining a club." she continue to speak, as the rest of the students chatted amongst themselves. "What club are you more interested in?" she ask kindly trying to make a conversation out of something.

Sam rolled his bright blue eyes playfully at Leia, "Why yes, of course I'm here for the fashion club." He said sarcastically followed by a soft chuckle. Sam looked around at the vast amount of students attending the meeting, as he looked around the room he wondered what kind of things the Conglomerated Arts Clubs would be doing throughout the year. He hoped he wouldn't have to participate in any fashion show or something of the likes. While Sam's mind began to drift away he was quickly pulled back into that present moment to find Leia calling his cousin over. Sam groaned quietly and waited for a response wishing in his mind that Ava would refuse Leia's invite. Nope. Here she comes, he thought to himself sourly. Sam ran his hand through his hair and sunk lower into his chair, his arms were folded across his broad chest and when Leia smiled at him Sam gave her a look saying 'you owe me one'. Sam would definitely make sure that he would get her back for this.

Kyle smiled at Maddiie. At least there was someone here who understood how he felt about the stupid mistreatment his friend had to suffer. "It's just so unfair! He's got a right to learn, hasn't he?" He listened quietly as Maddie spoke encouragingly, and the frown died on his face, replaced by a smile. At least it wasn't all bad - this club thing wasn't a total mistake after all. "I'm here for cooking... I've never really done much cooking before, but I really enjoyed Potions last year, and I figured it was worth giving cooking a go. I mean, they're basically the same thing, right?"

"Eh you could say they were the same but technically not just some sort of similarities." Maddiie sat back listening as Kyle asked a question. "Well its always good to try something new, especially when you get to experience different types of cooking." she added with a slight smile. "I may peek in once in a while just to see how's it going and probably ask the cooking club to make treats if we do ever have a play." which was more than likely to happen, even though she was leaving she still come by just to see how Hogwarts and the clubs are doing, Maddiie look around and notice the group had quite down. She look towards the other leader, at first wasn't sure what to do, but decided to take action. "Welcome all to the Conglomerated Arts Club, I'm one of your leaders Maddiie Hollawarth." she said standing up as she grip the clipboard to her chest. "Today would just be a simple meet and greet. There are information about each club up on the bulletin board back there." she pointed to the back of the classroom were all the flyers and schedules were hanging an different color papers. "We have refreshments and goodies set to the side over there." she smiled as she pointed to were Pat had set up the lovely tables of treat. "Now its up to each and everyone of you if you want to introduce yourself possibly do a ice breaker if you like." she continue on speaking. "Ice breaker simple first tells us your name, house and year add which club your interested in." she took a breath"..Than you tell us two things that are true about you and one lie. Objects is whoever guess the lie, will have to go next ect,..etc just to get to know you all better. Or we could just do a simple greeting and mingle for a while. Up to you!" she smiled as she sat back down, leg cross over the other clipboard on her lap.

As Patricia sorted through a few more of her paper she happily listened to a few of the conversations that were going on around her. She would have loved to catch up with a few of her old friends and get to know some of the new people but she wanted to make sure everything was in order. Not too long after she raised her head as she heard Maddiie start the club, noticing the time she was glad she did. Smiling at everyone as Maddiie talked, she give a small nod of recognisation as Maddiie mentioned the snacks. Once her older friend finished talking she decided to go first because she knew how nervous everyone would be and as leader she should set a good example.

Standing up she started. "Okay hi everyone. As Maddiie already said, welcome to the first meeting of the Conglomatered Arts Club. It's great to see so many of you here and I do hope you stick with us because we have loads planned for this year. She said with a sly grin. "So my name is Patricia Rogers and I'm another one of your leaders. I'm the head of the Cooking Club, cooking has always been one of my passions and I hope to make it all one of yours." she said with a kind smile. "A bit about me. I'm a fourth year Hufflepuff. I love line dancing, cooking, reading, writing and Quidditch. And I'm one of the beaters on the Hufflepuff team." she added with a bright smile. Sitting down she waited for the next person to go.

After the students had all filed in and made themselves comfortable and acquainted with each other, the meeting finally began, with Maddiie, the eldest of the trio, speaking up and introducing herself and the Conglomerated Arts Club. Then Patricia spoke up and introduced herself and her department, the Cooking department. After she was done, Isabella stood up, smoothing down her dress neatly while holding her own clipboard in hand like the other two girls and smiled at them all politely. "Hi, as most of you know I'm Isabella Chaos," she introduced herself first, mostly for the sake of the younger students who didn't yet know her. "I'm head of the Fashion department here and we'll be in charge of making our own designs for fashion shows and sometimes even costumes for the plays that the Drama department decides to put on," Isabella explained a little, trying to put emphasis on the word 'department' because the clubs were no longer separated into clubs, just departments of one large club. "We have quite a few exciting things planned for this year so we hope to get things started right away," Isabella informed them all with a small nod of her head.

Remembering she had to give a little bit about herself she quietly said, "Oh!" and brushed a few bangs out of her eyes as she thought of what to say. "I'm a fourth year Slytherin, I love fashion of course, and I'm Co-Captain of the Quidditch team," she ended with a bright smile, loving how she looked so posh and polished yet she loved a brutal game of Quidditch. She then looked at Patricia and Maddiie, waiting to see what would happen next.

Abigail fiddled with the dark strands of her black hair and as a House Elf was kicked out, she smirked icily and muttered, "Good. We don't want a filthy half breed in here." She was becoming bored with people walking in and talking to their friends and was very tempted just to walk around but finally it began by the eldest girl here.

When Patricia and Isabella went on to introduce herself, the young Slytherin smiled politely at the two girls and then looked around softly, wondering if they all were going to have an ice breaker game or mingle, but it seemed that no one else was going to decide so she decided with the Ice Breaker game. "I'm assuming no one is mingling now, so.. Ice Breaker Game, Maddiie mentioned?" she asked, but didn't wait for an answer.

"I'm Abigail Lurken," she introduced. "I am a closet writer, I love fashion, design and acting," she began. "And I love Divination." It would be clear to Isabella, Joceline and perhaps Patricia (Patricia was in her Divination class) which she was lying about but perhaps the others because she had never really shown her passion for acting and although she loved literature and knew almost every line of Shakespeare and the Bronte sisters but never shared her writing to anyone. She always got a pang in her stomach when she even thought about showing her writing because she knew how critical she was and that other people could tear it apart as well.
