Chit Chat

Nina nodded, she had crossed the line, she knew it, but it was the truth and she thought Asher desearved that much.

Asher smiled at Nina. "Thank you for being honest with me. I needed that."

Nina smiled and said, "No problem. Just call me Honest Abe...actually don't call me that." Nina chuckled at this then smiled happily.

"I actually haven't thought of them much but I think I will do fine," Nina said confidently.

"I do too. I can't imagine how the fifth years feel as they get closer to their OWLs." Asher shuddered at the thought.

"Next year," Nina said happily, she couldn't wait, too see how hard the OWLs actually were, she was fine with pretty much everything she had learnt so far.

Asher never really had problems with tests, but these determined their future. "Yep, maybe we can get our friends who had to take them this year to help us study next year."

"You can do it, but I want to do it on my own, see how well I can actually do with out getting any help at all." Nina said excitedly.

"I suppose you're right. I just want to do well enough to be able to choose my career rather than have it chosen for me..." she said. She admired Nina's courage. Asher was much too nervous to do it completely alone.

Nina nodded, she understood what Asher meant, she might study with a few of her friends, mostly for fun though, but she didn't want help from anyone that had already written them.

Asher smiled to herself. "Any word on Darcy? Is he still doing alright?"

"I sent them a letter back but no replies yet, Mum doesn't understand how to use the Owls." Nina said with a small smile.

"It took me a while to figure it out. You said that they're pretty sure he's a metamorphagi. That's really neat!" Asher said cheerfully.

"I know, but I kind of wish he was a muggle." Nina said honestly. "To keep him safe," Nina added.

Asher nodded. "Are you worried about how this will affect his health or about his safety in our world?"

"To keep him safe from things in our world." Nina said honestly. "He is getting better, in a health perspective, but Mum and Dad are having some trouble having people over, because Darcy can't control it yet."

"What worries you most about him being in our world?" To Asher the magical world seemed much safer than the Muggle world.

"Everything in general." Nina said honestly, she loved Darcy more than her Mum and Dad combined and she needed him to be safe. "I know he would still be in danger if he was a muggle, but everything seems so much more elevated in the wizarding world." Nina explained.

"I understand, but I do have to say, I have felt so much safer here in the magic world than I did in the Muggle world. And I can promise you, I will do everything I can to keep him safe too." Asher winked and smiled brightly.

Nina smiled brightly and said, "Thanks. I just hope Darce is better with Mum and Dad than I am." Nina started out seriously than ended up making a small joke although there was a lot of truth to what she said.

"Oh, children are never good with their parents. Its a fact of life!" Asher said in a sarcastic tone and then smiled.

Nina smiled, she was glad that Asher hadn't read into what she had said all that much.

"When do you think you're going to get to see him?" Asher asked. She thought Nina getting to see her brother would help her a lot.

"I actually don't know for sure, if I decide to go home over the holidays I will see him then but if not, in the summer I guess." Nina said regretedly, but right now, the Tournament was the most important thing, she had to focus on that or she would get hurt badly.
