"Well...I can't stop thinking about him...ever....Nina..." Asher paused and looked up at her friend. "I think I'm falling for him...." she said softly.
"I knew I liked him, but I've never loved anyone before. I mean, I love my parents, but I've never met them. And I love Abbey, but that felt different. Could what I feel for Noah really be love?" Asher had no idea she could feel like this about anyone.
"Goodness I hope the love you feel for both Abbey and Noah are WAYYYYY different!" Nina said, "I don't know how to describe it, but I have been in love before," Nina said then added to what she said in her thoughts, Still am then Nina continued to what she was saying, "You'll know when your in love," Nina smiled happily.
Nina nodded excitedly although she wasn't all that excited, it was a month away and she still didn't have a date and she had to have one. Cameron had Caysi, Hilary had someone probably Bruin, although Nina thought he had a thing for Sakura.
Asher looked at Nina. She wanted so much to be able to tell her everything would work out for the best. But she knew it would be falling on deaf ears. The last thing Nina wanted to hear was another seemingly empty promise. Even if it was true.
As Asher looked upon her Nina suddenly felt guilty and self-conscience{sp?[wow my amazing talents with writing ]}, Nina looked down a little ashamed of herself, for reasons she couldn't identify.
"So you said you were staying here for the holidays? Are you sure you wouldn't like to spend them with Abbey, Noah, and I? The more the merrier!" Asher said encouragingly.
Nina nodded kindly and hoped this wouldn't insult Asher in anyway, she wasn't exactly being the easiest to deal with today. "Thanks Asher, it sort of depends on him, I mean if he is staying here I go home, but if he goes to Scotland I stay here." Nina said quietly still unable to stay his name.
"Perfectly understandable. But you and I have to make a promise here and now. No matter what, we will both have a great time at the Yule Ball...together. Ok?" she asked hopefully.
Nina nodded and said trying to be as honest as possible, she couldn't garentee anything but she would try, "Of course," Nina smiled as genuinly as she could. "Course I need a date and fast, before we HAVE to learn how to do the ceremonies." Nina said nervously.
"Well, if all else fails...I'm sure Noah would be happy to take you. You just have to promise I get one slow dance." Asher winked, hoping she was cheering Nina up a little.
Nina made a sickly face ( :-& ) in mockary and said, "Noah is more like a second cousin," God am I really that pathetic? I will have to start the ball with someone else's date, Noah no less, Nina thought with mixed emotions.
Nina smiled as Asher laughed and made her comment and muttered, mopre to herself than anyone, "Good, you do that, and I will see what poor soul will take me as a pity date,"
[I will reply to your reply tomorrow, it is getting late and I have only had 4 hours of sleep in the past 3 days ]
Asher rolled her eyes. "Anyone who takes you would not be a pity date. They'd be one of the luckiest guys there. ....Hey! What about Yvan? He doesn't seem very fond of the Durmstrang girls and you seemed to get along with him pretty well."
