It was not the warmest time of year to be sitting outside, but Finn loved the freshness of the air. If he had a choice, he would always be outside. He hated the constraints of being inside. "Inside voice" , "No running" , "Wipe your feet" , "Stay dry" were just a couple of rules he knew of being inside. If he was outside, he could run as fast as he wanted, get as dirty as he wanted, climb whatever he wants, and be as loud as he could possibly be. He did admit being inside was a lot warmer when it was cold, but he generally liked all type of weather. Snow was the most exciting for him as he didn't get it at his hometown.
Finn had found a nice tree to lean against on the big field by the school. He was keen to get started with the classes (something he never thought he'd feel), but he knew he had to be patient as he literally could not do anything about it. The young Gryffindor had already done quite a bit of exploring so he took his paper and pencil and began mucking around with some drawings. He wasn't the best drawer but he enjoyed drawing cartoons. He had progressed from just coping already made cartoons to making up his own cartoons. He loved drawing cartoon animals because they were so much easier than people. But he was starting to learn how to draw the different shapes of people. Luckily, they didn't have to be realistic, because Finn sucked at drawing realism. Humming to himself, Finn continued drawing his own cartoons, having a battle with already-made cartoons. He had a feeling his cartoons would totally win.
