Calender, dates and seasons

i have just noticed that there is a slight mistake with the months. if Hogwarts NZ is in New zealand then wont the summer holidays be in december/january not july/august as New zealand is in the southern hemisphere and therefore the seasons would be opposite to the northern hemisphere. ofl:

This has been brought up a few times. Yes, technically, May in NZ should be Autumn, however, HNZ is bewitched to emulate the seasons of the other Hogwarts.

Plus, most people here are from the Northern Hemisphere. *shrugs* I guess it just makes sense for them. I'm from the Southern Hemisphere myself, but hey.

Antoinette is correct. When this site was first made by Alicia she hadn't thought of such things, then by the time it was brought up it was too late to change things.
