Libby didn’t think her house had ever been as busy at it would be this Christmas. Between her five children and two of their other halves, plus her husbands adopted nephew, there would be more people in the building than she was used to. She was working hard to put lunch together, busing herself in the kitchen and keeping the twins out from under her feet as she waited for her guests to show.

Iggy was watching from the corner of the counter as mummy was hurrying around the kitchen. He peered round the edge and up at the woman that was too busy focusing on moving big silver things around that smelt really nice to even see him. He stuck his thumb in his mouth, wondering when he would get some food.

Ferrah has been surprised when Asaiah had taken her up on the invitation to join her family for Christmas. They’d been growing closer over the last few months though, and the seeker was looking forward to introducing him to the others. She didn’t know if Bella would be round, nor if she’d be able to say hi to her ex-teammate from Scotland, but she turned to the man before entering the house, “you ready?” She asked, a grin on her face to cover up the nerves.

Eryk hadn't been able to sleep well all week, not because he was nervous that it wouldn't go well or anything, no he could barely sleep because he was excited that they'd all spend Christmas together again as a family. Having just finished the final touches on the decorations, the man entered the kitchen to see how his wife was doing and if there was anything he could help with before people would arrive. ''You've got it all under control, honey?'' he asked, keeping an eye on Ignatius who was no doubt waiting for Libby to give him something.

Kenna was following her dad around the house as he was putting up more shiny Christmas lights until he went into the kitchen. She'd been avoiding going in there ever since her mum told her not to come back in anymore. So instead the climbed, albeit very clumsily, on the sofa and sat there until someone would come back into the living room.

He didn't think that she would actually let him come along to her family's Christmas party but there he was, standing in front of the house together with her. ''Is it too late to back out now?'' he replied with a nervous chuckle. Things were getting rather serious now and he didn't really know how to handle it.

Libby had a lot of experience with handling things like this but it didn’t stop it being stressful. “Of course,” she shot Eryk a confident smile before handing a lump of cheese to her youngest, hoping it would suffice his appetites for another hour or so. “Honey, can you make sure the lights on the porch are on for when Ferrah arrives please?” She asked, turning back to sprinkle some home grown herbs across the dishes before they headed for the oven.

Iggy dodged his daddy and grabbed a small yellow chunk of something, sniffing it inconspicuously as he toddled back into the living room with it. He spotted Kenna sat up on the sofa, and being the kind brother he was, offered her some of his snack, although not before giving it a generous lick for good measure.

Aodhan, who had spend most of his day upstairs with Lily, thought that he could hear voices outside so decided that it was best to go downstairs now so that they could snatch themselves seats before they'd all be taken. ''Alright, please bear with me tonight. I think Uncle Eryk is far too excited and Libby's probably too stressed because she's been busy preparing all day.'' he told Lily as they walked down the stairs.

Lily thought the only reason Aodhan had even invited her was to be a distraction from his family, but at least it was better than staying at school or leaving the country at all. She followed her friend out the room, trying to strain her ears to hear what was going on. Great, she thought, a forced smile on her face as she expected to be swallowed up in his family drama.

Eryk had to resist taking the lump of cheese away from Ignatius - he didn't like that the boy was practically begging for a snack while they'd be having dinner soon. He frowned when Libby asked him to turn on the lights on the porch but did as he was told so walked out of the kitchen and towards the door in the hallway to flick on the switch.

Ferrah smiled at Asaiah, hoping he wasn’t actually serious about wanting to back out. “Come on, I’m sure you’ll be fine!” She tried to keep positive even though in her chest her heart was hammering, hoping her family would like him as much as she did, and the brunette reached out for the handle of her parents front door.

Bella hadnt spoken to her for her family for months, only writing to her mum when she absolutely had to. She still hasn’t forgiven her for marrying Eryk and creating a couple of spawns, but she didn’t need her family on her back by asking too many questions either so she had to play her part. The blonde had slapped the cheese from the boy before his sister could take the disgusting thing, and on her way through the house she looked up to see Eryk, just as the door opened in front of him, “Ferrahs here..” she announced loudly, wondering how much her twin had changed since she’d seen her last.

Kenna perked up when she heard some enter the living room and smiled happily towards her brother upon seeing that it was him. She was about to take the yellow snack from him, having no problem with the fact that he gave it a lick, when her older sister slapped it away from Iggy. Slowly her eyes filled with tears and Kenna found herself crying for her either parent.

''Of course I will,'' Asaiah answered with a smile on his face. He hadn't really celebrated Christmas ever since his own parents had died so hoped that she wouldn't mind him if he went quiet every once in a while - it'd be difficult for sure. He followed Ferrah as she opened the door and smiled at the people standing in the hallway already.

Keanu was ecstatic to be going home, see his family all in one place again, and show off Keeva to those who hadn’t met her yet. After taking his girlfriends hand, he’d apparated the pair to a room he knew well, and they appeared a few seconds later in the warmth of the family kitchen. Of course his mum was busy and he knew better than to get in her way, so he took a few steps back before announcing himself. “Hey mum,” a massive grin on his face.

Iggy was proud of his offering until suddenly it wasn’t there anymore. He looked up to see a lady with really pale hair, his hand stinging a little bit and dropped his gaze to see the piece of cheese on the floor. There was a bit of hope until his parents little ginger cat came in and ate it herself. He looked up to meet Kennas watery eyes, his joining in with sympathy. It wasn’t more than a few second before he too was stood crying in the living room, wanting anyone to notice them.

There was commotion near the front door, and Libby wondered whether Eryk had gotten stuck putting the light on. She did however hear Bella calling out an arrival, and a smile spread across her face. Hopefully Ferrahs boyfriend would like their family, and they’d all get on. She turned just in time to see Keanu appear in front of her eyes with a lady of his own. The former Hufflepuff put down some broccoli and wrapped her arms round the neck of her oldest, “Hey darling,” a kiss planted on his cheek before turning to the person beside him, “You must be Keeva! We’ve heard so much about you,” two soft cries coming from the other room caused the mum of five to suddenly shout over their shoulders, “ERYK!” Honestly how was she meant to do everything here? “Would you like something to drink?” She offered, directing the pair to a table opposite the open plan kitchen.

The seeker nodded, and pushed open the door to see a number of people already in the vicinity. Ferrah smiled at Eryk, a man she didn’t exactly want to call dad since she was still close to Alex, but she was grateful still that he’d come into their lives. “We made it,” she shrugged, moving out the way to let Asaiah in. She looked across the room to see Bella, who looked taller and thinner and more serious than she’d ever noticed before. “Bells,” she didn’t care whether her sister didn’t want her to, she’d missed her twin a lot since they’ve graduated, and she pulled her into a hug before she could say no. “Bella, this is Asaiah. We play on the same team,” it was an easier explanation than trying to clarify their relationship right now, “This is my sister, and that’s my step dad, Eryk,” she looked between the trio, hoping this would go well.

Bella turned to see her cousin and some other girl coming down the stairs with him, although she wasn’t too worried about learning who she was, she probably wouldn’t be around for long. Then again she thought that about Keeva and her brother was still infatuated over her. She looked to the door and watched Ferrah and her boy cross the threshold. Before she had a chance to move, her sister had given her a hug and the blonde stood there stiffly, waiting for the attention to turn elsewhere. “Pleasure,” she said dryly, forcing a small smile onto her face for Ferrahs benefit.

Keeva was more nervous than she would care to admit. No game had ever filled her stomach with such butterflies. After all, she'd never met the family. Shane was old enough to not really have family for her to meet - and besides him Keeva hadn't had another relationship until Keanu. The brunette had no idea what to expect. They weren't through the door long enough for her to even adjust herself after apparation, when she was greeted by a woman called mom. "It's so nice to finally meet you, I can't wait to meet everyone." She said, trying to offer a smile that didn't look so strained. Merlin was she out of her depth. The only saving grace was that she recognized one other girl there. "Hey, wait a minute, didn't I play you in a game a few months back?" She inquired of the girl.

@Ferrah Corvus

There was so much going on that Eryk couldn't keep track of it anymore. With Belladonna joining him in the hallway and Ferrah and her... whatever he was to her standing in front of the front door, the man kept the introductions short because like his wife he had heard the twins soft cries coming from the living room. ''Ferrah, good to see you again. Asaiah, it's a pleasure meeting you. Now if you would excuse me, I have to check up on something real quick,'' the man said and left the three of them in the hallway to head back to the living room. Picking up Ignatius and Kenna both, he placed them onto his lap and started hobbling his legs to get them to calm down. ''What's the matter? Is it getting too crowded already?'' Eryk asked, fully aware that neither of them would be able to actually answer him.

Asaiah walked past Ferrah into the house and was greeted by the man who he could swear taught Muggle Studies at some point and by her twin sister. ''It's a pleasure to meet you too,'' he said to Belladonna. He could sense the hostilities but didn't think anything of it, as it was probably very odd to have to spend Christmas with a complete stranger.

Aodhan watched his uncle go back into the living room as they reached the hallway and wondered why he was in such a hurry until he could hear the soft cries from the twins. Man was he glad that he didn't have to babysit them tonight. Ignoring Belladonna, she was annoying still, he hugged Ferrah and had to look twice at the person she had brought along with her because he was pretty sure that they went to Hogwarts together. ''How's everything hangin' here?'' he then asked. ''This is Lily, she goes to university with me,'' Aodhan wasn't sure how he was supposed to introduce her so kept it as neutral as possible.

Bella smiled briefly at Asaiah, just pleased that at least he wasn't either of the two boys that tried to "fish" for her in the library a few years ago. If her sister had had brought either of those Gryffindor kids round then it could have been a different story. Eryk hurried off in the other direction, and they were left alone once more with the couple and her cousins. She peered over her shoulder to Aodhan and Lily, "And what exactly are you studying?" she asked them both. Aodhan may have been family now but that didn't mean she kept up to date with everything going on.
