Sorting/Transfers/Wizarding World
It's such a busy time of the year so let's start off with what everyone is most excited about. So far the number of sorted characters is more than the past few years and it's not over yet. Sorting will close on Sunday so be sure to get those characters sorted and if you don't have any planned to sort...then make some
So if you just want to catch up on the sorting posts or sort yourself, here's the link to the Sorting Ceremony
On the note of sorting closing on Sunday this means the Wizarding World will be closing shortly after, more than likely Monday, so be sure to get your last minute shopping done and any late sorters be sure to get your wand etc.
Everyone that applied for a Transfer character this year you will have been contacted on the relevant character with the outcome. This year we had a total of 11 transfer applications and 7 were approved, well done to everyone who got theirs accepted

Y26 has officially started as of yesterday and with that..lessons! Yes, classes have started so be sure to check your schedules, Professors & students alike, and have fun.
Quidditch Try Outs
With the start of a new year means the start of Quidditch, everyone witch & wizards favourite past-time. If you have students that want to try out of Quidditch be sure to head down to the pitch and check out the try outs. Look I even made it easy for you..no excuses now

Start of Year Feast/Club Fair
The Great Hall is currently a hub of excitement. We have two big topics going on at present, the Start of Year Feast & Club Fair are happening so there is something for all your student, Professor, staff etc characters to take part in and have fun with. Club Presidents and current members don't forget to have a part in the Club Fair to get new recruits and answer their questions.
Daily Prophet
If you have any Daily Prophet Journalists be sure to check out this topic and fill out your characters details as well as what type of articles they write so we know who to contact when need be
Restricted Area
Just a reminder about the restricted section of the library as there are certain rule for any students looking to RP in this area: they must take part in a RP asking a Professor for the password (they must also have a valid IC reason to want/need this password) and the Professor will then PM it to them.
New Professors & Reminder for all Professors
We've had a lot of Professor applications open prior to Y26 for those who have applied thank you for taking the time to do so. So congrats to our new Professors; Professor Eryk Kaelen (Steven) Muggle Studies Years 3-4 classes for this semester, Professor Eduardo Orbon (Alexis) Astronomy Years 5-7, and Professor Anzhelika Malik (Birdie) taking over Care of Magical Creatures Years 3-4 from Professor Kida Frost (Ash) who will now be teaching Transfiguration Year 5-7
Welcome back to all our older Professors and once again thank you for taking on this great responsibilty. Could you all take the time to check your PMs/respond to the Professors Meeting when you have the chance
Prefects & HeadPeople
Another fun part to the start of a new year is the promotion of 8 new prefects (2 from each House) and new HeadPeople. It is a great responsibility and honour to have your characters to get chosen to represent their House and School so without further ado I give you the new additions for Y26.

Another start of the year tradition is posting pictures in Accio! which can be done here. Be sure to read the topics carefully as some pages have been upgraded to include gifs of characters and not just still images. Also be sure to keep an eye on the page throughout the school year when new topics get added and don't forget to update the Quidditch page once team lists have been updated.

Yes this did finish a while ago but the 11th Birthday edition of WereClown ended with a WereClown victory
It was a game well played by all but in the end the better team won *cough* *cough* Also a big thank you to Cyndi for hosting the game this time round, it was a great game! Incase you missed it, here's the topic

Another throwback to the birthday celebrations is our OOC Superlatives. Incase you missed it the winners have been annoucned so head over alright the topic and congrat the winners! Thanks to everyone who took time to nominate, vote & help but all of this together.

We all love an open topic and with it being the start of a new year and a lot of new characters floating about we are calling for an 'open topic drive'. For anyone who isn't sure what I mean, simply make a topic, or as many as you like, with whatever character(s) take your fancy and leave it open for anyone else to join by putting -open- *open* in the subject box. As a note, the search function isn't completely working at the moment so just keep an eye out for these topics floating about.

The start of this month was our 7th annual GMAD (Global Moderator Appreciation Day). On behalf of the GMs I would like to thank the Admin & site members for the love shared to us and if you want to check out the topic, here it is.

With the first of the Cursed Child plays having started their previews in London's West End we have started a Cursed Child discussion topic here. All discussion of the show should remain in that topic and spoiler tags must be used.
