Hi guys. So with our site's 9th birthday celebrations well under-way here's a little update to keep you all in the know.
Start of Semester 2
That's right, school is now back in session and it's back to the grind for students and Professors alike. Lessons have started again as of yesterday so Professor please make sure you are up-to-date with posting and marking lessons - also adding them to the Gradebook.
Students please make sure that you are registered to the Gradebook for semester 2 lessons if you intend on posting in them.
Holiday Forums Closed
As semester 2 starts the holidays finish. All holiday forums are now closed so time to start planning your RPs for when they open again or get your shopping list ready.
Time for a new Minister of Magic?!
As you can see from this annoucement and this RP Seraphine Hensel has stepped down as the New Zealand Minister of Magic.
You all wanted it, so here is our big site-wide plot. It may not seem like it but your character is affected by this. So please feel free to start up your own RPs with your characters reactions to the news or post in Seraphine's press conference if you work for the Daily Prophet or are a Ministry Worker - and let the fun begin.
HNZ is 9!
Well this isn't so much news as just a reminder that our birthday celebrations are now well underway and there is still time to take part so get your name on our signature, take a picture saying Happy Birthday or give us your top 9. Whatever it may be, enjoy the celebrations and there is more to come.
Also if you signed up for the Skype Party it has been scheduled for (time=1400378400) (please make sure your board time is correct).
Shop System Update!
As you may or may not have seen from this announcement Nick has done it again and made our life on HNZ just that little bit easier. It is now possible to buy a custom wand for your character or have a random one be made for you as the wand chooses the wizard!
Also for the duration of the birthday celebrations we will be giving you the option to have us buy your wand back from you so you have a few extra galleons to buy your own new custom wand. All details in the above announcement.

Or darkorchid rather. As I'm sure some of you have noticed the lovely Donna (Riley Sparkles) has lost a bit of her sparkle and has retired her Global Moderator colours - for now anyway. As ever real life comes first and Donna has decided to take a step back and get into her roots again on the site - so don't worry, she's not leaving the site.
