Start of The New Year
Yesterday was the first day of classes for Y18!
Make sure that you register for your classes in the gradebook system, so that you can receive credit for all of your hard work. 
House Meetings and Quidditch Tryouts
House meetings and Quidditch tryouts have been posted for each of the houses in the common rooms and on the pitch respectively. Get involved around the school and attend one or both before they close!

Shoutbox OOC Names
In case you haven't noticed, Shouty now displays ooc names by the name of your character! Big thank you to Nick for this awesome addition to the site. It's something that Nick has had the idea for for quite a while and had several people suggest. It's an excellent new tool. The code uses the information from the OOC account tracker, so that's all the more reason to use that system as well!
Online In The Past 24 Hours
Personally, I am a big fan of this update. It is very useful with so many people on different time zones. However, if you do not like seeing all the users who have logged in during the past 24 hours, you can disable the code through the [member]code control panel[member].
Applications Temporarily Closed
Applications are still closed because sorting is still going on. However, they should be open again soon!
Your patience is, as always, appreciated.

Professors, the start of the year meeting has been posted. Go by and check out the updates. Please post stating that you read it.
Gradebook Updates
Nick has been tweaking the system to sort out a few bugs over the last couple of weeks. All systems should be good to go. However, pm him if you have any problems with the system.
